“What did you say? You and her… What?!”

Myungsoo moved away from the phone he’s holding from his ears to avoid Howon’s scream. “Is it really that bad? I mean, about me and her?” Myungsoo asked when he seemed to have calmed down.

“Duh. Geez Myungsoo, what happened to you? You infiltrate there not to date your dear Princess Im.” Myungsoo could sense the sarcasm in his friend’s tone. “You’re there to steal the most prized jewel, remember?”

Myungsoo froze on his spot. For a moment there, he starts doubting his feelings toward Yoona. Was he really just caught up in the moment with her? Or was it really love that he’s feeling toward her? Stop doubting yourself, Kim Myungsoo! He felt like slapping his own cheeks.

Howon heaved a deep sigh from the other line. “From what I heard, it’s really priceless. Not even the Queen of England’s fortune could match its value.”

“Basically, if we have this one piece of jewel, we could rule the world! You and me, L!” His friend continued. Myungsoo noticed how he called him by his alias just now. He’s serious about this… His heart starts to race, making his palm all sweaty and clammy. He starts to clasp and unclasp his free hand.

After the both end up the call, Myungsoo had his head hung low and had his shoulders slumped as he made his way toward the security room. When he got there, Tao came up to him and said, “Hey Myungsoo, Mr. Im told me that he wants to see you in his study room. ASAP.”

Myungsoo stared at the younger one blankly. That old man wants to see me? He felt like snorting, but he held it in. He seriously had enough of naggings for that day. First it was Howon and now this old guy… He sighed. “I got it.” Myungsoo got up from his seat, still with his shoulders slumped down, especially when Tao told him that Mr. Im wants to see him personally.

Tao watched him get up from his seat and walked toward the door. “Did you do something wrong?”

“What?” Myungsoo, who already had one hand placed onto the doorknob, turned his head toward the younger male. He saw Tao raised his eyebrows at him, waiting for his answer. Myungsoo heaved a sigh and slightly rolled his eyes. “I didn’t do anything wrong, okay? Not as far as I know.” With that, he went out of the room and into the dragon’s lair. Oh how he wished he would be kind enough not to breathe fire at him.

Myungsoo knocked the wooden door three times before he heard Mr. Im’s voice, telling him to come in from the inside of the room. Myungsoo swallowed the lump in his throat before gathering up his courage and went inside the room.

“Mr. Im.” Myungsoo bowed a 90 degree bow at him.

Mr. Im looked up from the paperwork in his hands. “Oh, Bodyguard Kim. Please come in.” He took off his galsses and placed down the papers in his hands.

As he was told, Myungsoo closed the door behind him and walked toward Mr. Im’s desk. He noticed that Mr. Im still has a lot of papers to be signed and read. Myungsoo stood in front of his desk, like a kid waiting to be punished by his parents.

Mr. Im clasped his hands together and had his eyes toward the young man standing in front of him.

Myungsoo gulped nervously. He didn’t fail to notice the change of the atmosphere in the room.
