Taeyang, I choose you!
My Little SisterIt was finally the day to fly back to Seoul. At the beginning of the week Ji Seong had been counting down the minutes until today but now...she was dreading it. At breakfast she just played with her cereal, too nervous to be hungry.
“Are you ok?” GD asked softly and she met his concerned expression.
“I don’t want to go back.” She mumbled, focusing back on her breakfast.
“Why not?” She looked up again and felt her eyes welling up.
“I don’t want to face Youngbae-oppa” She whispered and GD fell silent. Why did she care about Taeyang? She had him now! Ji Seong ran a hand through her hair. “I need to think...” She stood up.
“Where are you going? You know our flight’s in 3 hours?” She nodded.
“I won’t be long.” She left the table and her untouched cereal and headed for the entrance to the hotel. She didn’t know where she was going, just that she needed to think. Unconsciously she found herself walking towards the park she’d had the picnic with GD in yesterday. She thought about the past week. GD had done a lot for her that was for sure, but were his actions heartfelt, or were they just him blowing cash absent-mindedly like he always did? Now that she thought about it, everything he’d done for her had cost lots of money. Except maybe the park-trail-thing. That had been sweet. But...she couldn’t help feeling that she’d rather be curled up watching a movie with Taeyang than following a romantic trail to GD. She sighed and ran her hand through her hair. Taeyang. GD. Taeyang...or GD.

The taxi journey was awkward to say the least. They’d often had silent journeys throughout their stay in Tokyo but this silence was heavier. Ji Seong stared out of the window, trying to make sense of the thoughts whirring round her brain. Suddenly she felt a strong arm wrapping around her shoulders, pulling her in close. She breathed in the lemony smell and then the tears were coming and she couldn’t stop them. She hiccoughed as they streamed down her face.
GD jumped in shock when his supposedly comforting gesture had the opposite effect. From nowhere Ji Seong burst into tears and seeing her pained expression as the tears ran down it broke GD’s heart.
“What’s wrong Ji?” He asked softly and she hiccoughed again, attempting to calm herself down as she wiped her cheeks.
“I-I’m sorry Jiyong-oppa, I’ve been really stupid” She said, her lip trembling. GD frowned and her hair.
“What do you mean? What happened?”
“I-I shouldn’t have done a-anything like that I...I’m with Youngbae-oppa and-”
“You don’t have to be! You can break up with him! We can be together again!” Ji Seong shook her head sadly.
“No y-you don’t understand. I love Youngbae-oppa.” She felt GD tense before withdrawing his arm. She looked nervously up at his face to see him clench his jaw.
“How can you say that, after everything I’ve done for you.” He said quietly, coldly. “Have you got any idea how much money I spent on you? And you just shamelessly say that the whole time you’ve loved Youngbae. You ing gold-digger.” Fresh tears ran down Ji Seong’s face at GD’s dangerous tone and harsh words.
“I’m sorry! I wasn’t sure about my feelings before but now I...” She trailed off when she saw GD’s face. He looked absolutely livid. If the first half of the journey was awkward the second was unbearably so. Nothing more was said between them for the rest of the taxi journey, while they waited at the airport or on the plane. Ji Seong wondered if she’d made the right decision but knew deep down she had. She wiped the remaining tears away.
