Jongdae felt so dizzy until he thought that his head might explode in a second. His left jaw was swollen. Probably because of the bearded guy’s punch. His whole body was aching everywhere. He thought of going to the clinic last night, but he was too weak to even go to the toilet by himself. But he felt better that morning. He got up from his bed and walked over to the kitchen. He opened the drawer of the kitchen counter and took out some ointment. He rested himself on the sofa at the living room and applied the ointment on his jaw and his head.

                Suddenly, his cellphone rang.

                He stood up and went into the bedroom to answer it. He sighed as he saw the caller ID. He picked up the cellphone, cleared his throat and pushed the receive button.

                “Hello.”

                “Hi.” Her voice seems a bit nervous.

                “Hi.”

                “Are you alright?” she asked him.

                “Yeah. You?”

                “Better.”

                “Good.” He doesn’t know what to say to her. But Jongdae glad that she was fine.

                “How’s your face? Is it alright?” she sounded concern.

                “Swollen. But I just applied some ointment.”

                “Did you sleep well last night?”

                “Not really. You?”

                “Me too.”

                There was a long pause after that. Until Jongdae spoke something that met her a little bit startled.

                “I think I wanna drop by at the café this evening.”

                “Oh, really?”

                “Yeah. Just checking you out.”

                “Ok. I’ll be waiting.”

                “See you later then.”

                “Jongdae,”

                “Yes?”

                “Thanks.”

                “No problem.”

                And the line went dead.

                Jongdae threw the cellphone on the bed and walked out of the bedroom back to the sofa. He didn’t know why, but he felt like he wanted to see her today. He wanted to know if she was really fine.

                Suddenly he remembered what happened yesterday. How anger take controlled of him until he did not realized what he was doing. If she did not pull him over and calmed him down, maybe he had killed those bad guys. But what he felt yesterday was exactly the same feeling that he felt four months ago. Exactly the same, but he was too late at that time. That’s why he cried. Because he was glad that he wasn’t too late yesterday. If only the same thing happen four months ago, that ring wouldn’t probably lose its owner.

                The café was empty. There were no customers at this hour. I looked at my watch, it was already 5.12 pm. Jungshin oppa was busy cleaning up the kitchen and Haera unnie was counting the bills on the counter. I was seating at my favorite spot in the café. Table 12. I like it because it was located beside the glass window that was facing the green landscape just outside the café. The landscape was already there when the two newlyweds bought this place and since it looked very natural and beautiful, they decided to keep it. There was a big oak tree that shading the whole landscape. So the landscape will always look calm and serene.

                Suddenly the door swung open and I turned my head to look at the person that was still holding the door knob as he came inside.

                “Hi Minki.” Haera unnie greeted him.

                “Hi noona.” Minki waved his hand at her. Then he saw me beside the glass window and quickly walked over to my place.

                “Everything’s good?” he spoke as he pulled the chair opposite of me.

                “No.” I gave him a sharp stare.

                “I know you’re mad about yesterday. I’m sorry. I lost control of my temper.”

                “Whatever.” I did not have any interest to talk to him.

                “Hey, listen. I texted Jongdae the night after you asked him out and I told him to take care of you. And he said he will. Then suddenly something like that happened, of course I was mad because he did not keep his promised.”

                “It wasn’t even his fault Minki. When you yelled at him yesterday, you just made everything worst. Do you know that?”

                “I know. That’s why I said sorry just now.”

                I sighed. Minki could be the best friend ever but he also could be the worst friend ever.

                “He’s a great guy you know. Jongdae. Fighting two full grown men alone. It was impressive.”

                I smiled. “I know.”

                “So you like him more now I guess?” Minki smirked.

                “Shut up.” I chuckled.

                “Speaking of the hero, looks like he heard your summon.”

                Minki stood up and pouted his lips to the figure that just walked in. It was Jongdae.
