“Bommie~~ Bommie hurry up!” Dara shouted outside Bom’s window.

“Just a minute Dara~ no need to shout!” Bom shouted back and in a minute she was out the door.

“Hey, what took you so long?” Dara pouted as they walked towards their school. “It’s the first day of school, aren’t you excited?”

“What’s so exciting about this day?” Bom sighed as she ties the ribbon on her school uniform. “It’s the same as any other school day, you know~”

“Ehh~ what are you saying Bommie? We’re second year now, which means there will be new students coming in.. and since we’re older than them we’ll be called unni and noona~ Isn’t that exciting?”

“Hmm~ Bom-unni and Dara-unni?” Bom scrunched her nose “It’s not exciting at all!”

                Students were crowding the gate of YG High School, one of the most prestigious private schools in Seoul.  First day of school meant crowded gate but this day is more crowded  and noisier than usual. Crowds of girls blocked the gate and most were in tiptoe with the hope of sneaking a glance at whatever was causing the commotion.

                Dara and Bom were walking towards their school when they saw the crowd of girls.

                “Oh, what’s up over there?” Bom pointed to the gate.

                “Ehh, you think a lot of people enrolled this year?” Dara wondered as they quickened their pace. They could hear the girls screaming in high pitched tones.

                “Hmm~ what’s all this racket all about? Ahhh it’s giving me a headache this early morning.” Bom said as she gave a quick massage to her temple.

                “Bommie, maybe an idol came to our school to study!” Dara exclaimed as she tiptoed her way through the crowd.

                “Yah wait for me Dara!” Bom qickly grabbed Dara’s hands as they zigzagged through the screaming frenzy.

                The duo found their way in front of the crowd and they saw who the girls were screaming for. Two guys were in the middle of the crowd, both of them were tall and good looking. The taller one had thick hair, a serious expression and stands himself in a very dignified manner. The other guy was smiling towards the crowd and was waving his hand. His uniform’s tie was loose and the first button of his shirt was open.

                “Ehh, they don’t look like idols, but they are very charming.” Dara said to Bom as they watched the two guys entering the school building and being followed by a swarm of girls.

                Bom kept quiet but her eyes followed the back of the two guys. She walked with Dara towards the auditorium for their school’s opening ceremony. Bom was still massaging her forehead.

                “Aigoo, Dara you go ahead.” Bom said in a whiny voice.

                “What’s wrong Bommie?”

                “I’ll just go to the infirmary and get some pain killer. All those screaming gave me a head ache.” Bom said walking towards the infirmary.

                “Hey, just come back soon okay?” Dara said with a look of concern.

                “Thank you, seonsangnim!” Bom said with a bow as the school physician handed her a tablet of pain killer.

                “Just avoid stressful activities and situation so you won’t experience headaches again, okay?” the school physician, Ms. Kang said with a smile.

                “Uhm” Bom nodded with a smile.

                Suddenly the infirmary door opened and one of the guys from earlier ran in. He was panting and sweat was trickling from his forehead. He smiled apologetically to Ms. Kang and bowed.

                “Seonsangnim, I’m sorry to barge in, but please hide me me from the fangirls” the guy said in an almost whisper.

                Bom and Ms. Kang both stared in surprise and it was only now that the guy noticed Bom inside the room. Bom shyly bowed but the guy just smiled and pat her head.

                Bom blushed “Yah~ who is this guy and why is he touching me so casually?” she thought while still keeping her head down.

                The guy smiled at her. “Hey, no need for formalities~” He said cheerfully.

                Bom lifted her head up slowly and nodded.

                “I’m Kwon Ji Yong” the guy said and offered his hands to Bom.

                “Ahh, I’m Park Bom.” Bom mumbled  softly and shook Ji Yong’s hands.

                But before any of them could say something the door opened again. It was the guy who was with Ji Yong earlier.

                “Hey, Kwon Ji Yong! So you were just here, I’ve been looking all over for you! Don’t just wander off and flirt with the ladies anytime you please” he said as he dragged Ji Yong out of the infirmary.

                “Hey I wasn’t flirting~!” Ji Yong said and looked at Bom again. “Nice meeting you Park Bom!”
