There's a heat warning right now in the Philippines. We're in the middle of the summer and feel ko wala na kami sa Pilipinas.

Sabi nga ni Yuyu it's like a free trial in hell.

Sobrang init.

Kung papipiliin ako, mas gusto kong lamigin kesa sa maiinitan. Because when it's cold, I can always layer up and warm up. I can drink my tea. I can cuddle up with my girlfriend.

But maybe, I'd still cuddle with Winter even if it's hot.

When it's hot, I'd be and I'd still be hot! Walang pagbabago.

Not only that but yung labas pasok ka sa cold ng bahay mo and then init sa labas makes me sick. Sometimes I get the flu in the middle of summer because of it. 

I super hate it. 

I was planning on cleaning my room today pero it's too hot. Kahit naka-on na ang AC sa kwarto ko, I would still sweat. Naligo na ako and everything but it felt like I just showered in sweat after I got out of the shower.

Para akong nasa sauna.

I had texted Winter na pumunta kami sa mall para magpalamig and buy her new game but until now, hindi pa rin ako nakabihis because of how hot it is. After kasi ng shower ko, I just put on my cycling shorts and sports bra and stopped there.

Kasi ang init! 

I don't think I can survive wearing a shirt. I checked the temperature on my phone and it said it's 40 degrees.

Unbelievable.

Gusto ko na rin magpagupit. My long hair, even though it's in a bun, is so uncomfortable. And I'm so sweaty that my glasses keep sliding off. 

Winter would be done work soon and wala pa rin akong nagagawa. I'm stuck trying to cool off because I think I'd break a sweat even if I move my pinky finger.

May sinend sa akin si Ning na meme one time. It was so funny pero now I think I want to be it.

Yung gusto ko na lang maging hotdog sa freezer.

Yeah.

I think I just want to be inside a freezer right now.

I can also already hear Lia complain about the heat all the way from my house. That Canadian girl cannot stand the heat at all. I think she gets hives din if sobrang init. Napaka sensitive ng balat.

Is it like that ba if you're born abroad? She also gets allergies frequently kasi sobrang alikabok sa Pilipinas and grabe din yung pollen. It's like she is allergic to the world. One time, it was so severe, it seemed like she had the flu. 

I wonder how Lia is sa province? Considering there's more trees there. 

I should send the meme to Lia. She'll be able to relate for sure. I can already hear her say, "Honestly, KK! Are we in hell?" 

Kakasend ko lang ng meme kay Lia when I heard the familiar honk outside. Agad naman akong tumayo, not wanting Winter to wait longer outside kasi ang init. 

I quickly opened the gate, happy to see my girlfriend after a long, boring day. Gusto ko na rin magpalamig sa mall.

"Hi, baby!" I jumped to hug her. Nagtaka naman ako when she didn't hug me back. Masyado na talagang mainit for Winter to not reciprocate my hugs.

Kumawala ako sa kanya at tiningnan siya and she looked like she just saw a ghost. "Baby, what's wrong?"

"H-ha?" Taranta niyang sabi. Hindi din siya makatingin sa akin. She's fixated on something on the ground. 

I grabbed her face between my hands so she could look at me. "Baby, you okay?" 

"B-baby," she said, nervously. "Bakit ganyan suot mo?" 

I looked down and noticed na hindi pala ako nakadamit. I was still in my sports bra and cycling shorts. Ang init naman kasi. I just pulled Winter inside the house before anyone else could see me. Alam mo na how some neighbours are. They're like CCTVs. Pretty sure tatawagin nila akong malandi even though I look like I'm going to work out lang. It's not even that revealing!

My sports bra is very supportive. Nothing is hanging out. 

"Sorry," I mumbled an apology habang hila-hila ko siya. "Mainit kasi." Tiningnan ko siya na naka pants. Lia would roll her eyes at her if she saw Winter right now. "Aren't you hot in that?" 

Namumula rin mukha ni Winter. It must be really hot. "You're also really red, babe. You should change. Ang init kaya."

She looked away, busying herself with something on my vanity table while grumbling. "Hindi naman kasi yung weather."

"Hm?"

"Ikaw kasi, baby." She pouted. Anong ako?

"What did I do?" 

Tumalikod siya. "Magbihis ka na lang."

Ah, okay, I get it. 

Feeling a little mischievous, I decided to . "Ah, so you're blushing?" I said, poking her sides. "Do you like it when I wear stuff like these?" I hugged her from the back. "Kinikilig ka ba?" 

Winter suddenly jumped and squirmed in my embrace when I hugged her tighter. "Baby naman!" She squealed. "Sa baba na lang ako maghintay. Nang-aasar ka lang eh." 

I pulled her when she was about to leave my room. "Okay, sorry na. But baby you should change. Magka heat ka in your pants." 

"Malamig naman sa mall, babe." 

"We're in literal hell, baby. Pinagpawisan ka nga kahit naka-AC dito sa room." 

"Baby, ikaw ang may gawa neto. You're making me sweat. Sa baba na talaga ako maghihintay." 

I didn't bother chasing after her na kasi she started stomping her feet like a baby. My girlfriend is so cute. Especially if nahihiya siya ng ganyan. 

Lately, we have been having more sleepovers and I noticed Winter would get painfully shy when she wakes up and her face is very close to my chest. Or di kaya yung pagcucuddle namin when I hug her tighter, nahihiya siya.

And on hotter days, minsan naka malaking t-shirt lang ako and booty shorts and she looks like she wants to run away from me. 

I know Winter is not used to all these physical stuff I do to her so I guess nahihiya pa rin siya. She'll get used to it eventually. Hindi naman siya nagcocomplain. She just cutely gets red and stutters. 

Tapos ngayon, she ran away na talaga. 

If she was ever uncomfortable, I think she would tell me naman. We know better now to communicate our feelings, at least on my end, I'm doing better at communicating, and Winter is the vocal one out of the two of us.

I'd be more careful around her if she tells me she's uncomfortable. 

Kung pwede lang lumabas ng nakaganito lang, I would do it. Ayaw ko na rin mag-isip kung anong suotin ko when we're just going to the mall so I just threw on a loose, white muscle tee. I like this kasi malaki yung butas sa kili-kili so it's a bit presko. 

I didn't want to bother putting on contacts kasi sa sobrang init, namamawis kamay ko. I would just have a hard time putting it on. I just opted for my glasses with the clip ons — natatawa si Winter sa clip on sunglasses ko. Para daw talaga akong Lola. 

But it's convenient so I like it. 

I quickly took a pair of shorts from my closet that I think would fit my girlfriend in case she changes her mind.

When I went downstairs, I saw her on the couch drinking water. I guess she helped herself na sa kusina. Wala pa rin si Ate Marie. Babalik siya when school starts again. 

"Baby," I called her. "Are you sure ayaw mong magpalit?" I dangled the shorts in front of her.

She slowly looked up and nodded her head. 

"Kasya ba to sa akin, babe?" She said, studying the shorts in her hand. 

"It should. I think same size lang naman tayo." 

"Okay. Mabilis lang ako."
