"This is heavenly, oh my gosh." Yoona remarked as she took another bite of the pizza that Johnny brought with him. "Will you judge me if I eat more than 2 slices?"

The tall NCT member smirked, chewing his food. "Judge you? I'd encourage you. You're too skinny, babe, you can eat whatever you want."

"And I'll eat Chicago pizza everyday if I can.. which is why maybe I should stop at two slices."

Johnny removed the covering of the straw, preparing Yoona's drink and handing it to her. 

"Thanks." Yoona said, sipping on her soda.

"How's Jaehyuk and his girlfriend?"

She sighed sadly. "Hana's condition is getting worse. It's not good news. There's not much time left, I think. Jaehyuk's been there everyday and only come home to shower and change clothes. He said thanks by the way, for the flowers and fruits you sent."

"It's nothing. I only wish I could visit personally but.. we're pretty much on lockdown so to avoid any scandals before NCT2020. How are you doing with all this?"

Yoona was supposed to start in SM next week but due to the circumstances she have just been in, they have moved it further in the end of the month. She's been recuperating in the loosest sense (attending conference calls and talking to potential clients isn't really recuperating.)

"I still occasionally look around me when I'm outside but.. I think I'm mostly okay. Have you been resting well?" She looked at him lovingly, pushing his new blonde hair extensions out of the way. This man looks prettier now than manly like before.

"It's busy, but nothing I'm not used to. Yes, yes I'm sleeping well." He amended his words when Yoona raised an eyebrow at him. "Although this is the most leisure food I've eaten in weeks."

"Once promotions are done, I'll make you lots of cookies to share with the boys. Oh, you said you wanted to talk, right?"

"Yoong, close your eyes."

She frowned. "Johnny.. you're not giving me another--"

"Just close your eyes, please."

She did what she was told. Yoona felt something cold touch her wrist and then Johnny held her hand up. She opened her eyes when Johnny told her she can.

"Johnny..." On her wrist was a silver bracelet that had a sunflower pendant on it. "It's beautiful."

"When Taeyong called to tell me what happened on the street that day.. my heart dropped and I froze. I wasn't sure what to do first. All I could think about is how you were and how I wasn't there to protect you."

"It's not your fault.."

"Yuta and Doyoung went with me and manager hyung to the hospital. When asked at the reception, we just simply said we were there to see Taeyong and Jaehyun. But I wanted to ask how you were. That's the first thing I wanted to ask. But I can't.."

Yoona swallowed. She had just heard Jiyong's confession not too long ago and she was trying her best to put her mind off of it. Now what is this?

"We've been going out for the last three, four months? I've always enjoyed spending time with you. I just-- I guess I wanted to know what we are. I wanted to know that I can act like your boyfriend, protect you, support you without second guessing myself with what this relationship is."

Yoona bit her lip.

"I know there's a lot going on right now. A lot of changes. And don't worry, I'm not pressuring you. I just want you to think about it."

She closed her eyes and then before she could stop herself, she blurted out words, words that she can't keep from this perfect nice guy. "Jiyong confessed to me."

He didn't look surprise at all, just a look of acknowledgment crossed his face. "He finally did, huh?"

"Y-you knew?"

"Babe, why do you think we keep clashing? It's not because we're from rival companies, you know." He chuckled.

"I--"

"I'm not mad. You don't have to apologize. I like a very smart and attractive woman. There's bound to be others vying for your attention." He swiped his thumb on her chin, making her smile. He took a deep breath. "I'll give you space. No pressure. I'm here when you need me. But I figured you would need time to sort your feelings out."

'"You don't have to--" She wants to say yes to him right now. Be his girlfriend for real. Exclusively. No more casually dating. Just them. Forget about Jiyong. Johnny, he has done nothing but support her.

"Don't say something that you will regret in the future." He cut her off, in this slightly begging tone. "Take the time, Yoong. Because when you say it, I will remove every guards I have up, and completely give myself to be ruined by you."

Yoona hitched a breath. That touched her heart. 

"Take the time. I can wait." He takes her face by the hand and gave her a light kiss on the lips.

"This is a bad idea. I'll go home." Yoona took one look around the plaza-ish nightclub and turned around.

"No, no, no! Missy, you are not going anywhere!" A mummy-costumed Amber grabbed her arm to stop her. 

"Nooooo. Yoong, you have to stay! This is my unofficial official bachelorette party! We're here to have fun!" Hyorin said, pulling her wedding gown up as she was dressed as The Corpse Bride. 

Yoona pouted, looking around once again, eyes squinted from the flashing neon lights.

"Don't worry, Bae and Jiyong are in a show out of town." Hyorin assured her.

"Mwuh? I wasn't worried about that!" Yoona denied a little bit too quickly. "I just wanted to stay home in case Jaehyuk and Hana needs me."

That was a good euphimism for a call she was afraid to get. Hana's condition is getting worse and worse. Her doctors already said it was terminal and it's not long before....
