"Did you see NCT's VLive last night?"

Yoona shook her head, looking at the iPad propped at the bedside table. Sunny and Key were on the screen and seems to be at the IMY office. Amber was sitting next to her, both of them sharing the hospital bed. "I was too zonked out from the painkillers. But I watched the replay."

"And?" Sunny prompted.

She shrugged, trying not to wince from the headache she still has. "What was said was already said. We're just going to have to fix it, I guess."

"We?" The married woman raised an eyebrow. 

Yoona smiled cutely. "Sunny unnie, isn't that why you're in the office? You're agreeing to run the consulting firm with me?"

Sunny cringed and rolled her eyes. "Aigoo~ I'm strictly in Seoul-only cases, okay? And part-time work only."

"Assa!" Yoona cheered. "Now we only need two more to complete the team."

"Yes, yes. But what is your plan, boss? Some SM people are calling the office wanting to set up a meeting with you." Key informed her. "I think they're scared you're backing down because of the incident."

"Or.. they're afraid to be sued?"  Amber chimed in.

"I don't know yet.. But things can't remain like this."

"Offense?" Sunny asked.

"Definitely." Yoona smirked. "Set up a meeting, Key. And tell Sooyoungie that maybe they should get ready to launch that video with me and Jiyong.. I'll catch up with you guys later."

When the call ended, Yoona sighed and laid her head on Amber's shoulder.

"What's up, Yoong?" Amber patted her leg.

She bit her lip. "I don't know yet."

When she woke up earlier that morning, she was very sure it was all a dream. The whole conversation she heard between Jiyong and Johnny. Just a dream, right? That is until Jaehyuk told her that she scared him when her heart rate went up while she was unconscious. He even mentioned how Jiyong and Johnny both won't leave her alone until the doctors kicked them out of the room. 

The whole morning, she tried to get caught up with work stuff just to get her mind off what happened yesterday. 

"Can we get out of here?" Yoona asked. "I need some air." 

"When is Jaehyuk going to be back?" Yoona slowly walked alongside Amber towards the hospital garden. 

"He stopped by to get some food after getting clothes for you. He should be here soon." Amber was assisting Yoona even though Yoona didn't seem to need help. "I'm going to have to go soon though. The cafe."

The garden was mostly empty except for a group that was gathered at one of the tables. One of them let out a high-pitched laugh.

Amber and Yoona immediately looked at each other in surprise. They know that laugh. They hear that almost every night when they have their little family dinners with Jaehyuk's friends. 

"Was that Junkyu?" 

They saw the group was actually Jeongwoo, Junkyu, Asahi and... is that Jaehyuk's girlfriend, Hana? Sitting on a wheelchair, in a hospital gown similar to Yoona's?

The two bestfriends immediately beelined for the group. 

Yoona's eyes softened upon seeing Hana upclose. Her face was pale and her eyes were sunken, as if she was so tired. 

"Yoona unnie?" Hana asked.

"Noona..." Asahi trailed off.

"Yoona noona! What happened to you?" Jeongwoo asked, noticing Yoona was also wearing a hospital gown.

"Leukemia?" Yoona whispered, the two women sitting on the same bench together. The rest of the group was on a table near. 

Hana nodded solemnly. "I was in remission. But.. it came back with a vengeance. I'm terminal."

"Our foster mother died the same way." Yoona's tears started welling up.

"I know. Jaehyuk told me. It's why I didn't let him know. He said it was the worst season of his life. I didn't want to make him feel that way again."

It was true. It was over four years ago when their foster mother had a swift but painful fight with leukemia. Jaehyuk was a mess. Yoona was a mess. It was the most painful they felt. How could someone so kind, so loving like their mother get so taken so early? 

Hana sniffed. "I didn't want to tell any of them. But Asahi saw me here in the hospital one time. I begged him to not tell Jaehyukkie. He agreed but he didn't like it."

"I'm sorry for what you're experiencing, Hana." Yoona put her hand above Hana's. "And it's very noble of you not to want Jaehyuk to go through that pain again. But isn't it also taking a toll on you to keep a secret like this?"

The younger woman looked down.

"I hope you'd let Jaehyuk choose what to do instead of this. He's a smart kid and he loves you. You both deserve happiness."

"Even when it could go away soon?" Hana asked. "Is that what you would do, unnie?"

"Me?" Yoona looked far away. "You choose what can hurt you. A short time with someone I love would be worth it. It will be worth the pain."

They could see Jaehyuk entering the garden, carrying Yoona's overnight bag and take out food. They watched him as he saw his group of friends and then his gaze turned to them. He was surprised and then confused. Maybe at Hana's appearance.. And then when realization hit him, he dropped everything he was holding and ran towards Hana. 

"Oh my god, I only wanted some air. And now my nose is stuffed and my eyes are puffy from crying." Yoona said as she and Amber walked back to her hospital room, leaving the group by themselves. 

"Are you going to be okay alone? I can ask Jihoon to take over for me."

"Don't bother, please. I'm not a child and I'm feeling
