Wednesday Morning, Week 1

Chorong and Bomi's dorm.

"Bbom-ah can I use your blow dryer?"

"Mhm." Bomi said through a mouthful of toothpaste.

"Thanks." Chorong ducked back into the bathroom. The whirring sound of the blow dryer filled the room.

About a minute later Bomi joined Chorong in front of the bathroom sink to rinse .

"You were up pretty late last night." Chorong said to Bomi.

Bomi gargled in response.

"That much homework already?"

Bomi shook her head and spit into the sink.

"Eunkwang oppa was texting me at some ungodly hour again."

"What about?" Chorong asked.

"He wants to have a noraebang party with the boys on Friday. He told me to bring friends. You should come!" Bomi said.

Chorong turned off the blow dryer and started fixing her hair.

"Hmm I think I'll pass, his friends probably don't even know who I am."

"Aww unnie pleaaaseee!!" Bomi whined. "It'll be fun I promise!"

She gave Chorong her best puppy eyes. 

Chorong sighed. 

"Please tell me you don't look at Eunkwang oppa like that." 

Bomi simply pouted her lips even more and blinked pleadingly. 

"Unnie..." She whined again.

Chorong eyed Bomi suspiciously for a moment.

"Okay fine, but you're buying me coffee today." 

Bomi whooped excitedly and captured Chorong in a tight hug. 

"Woohoo!! Unnie's going to noraebang! Unnie's going to noraebang!" She chanted. 

Chorong bit back the urge to scold the over excited Bomi as she untangled herself from Bomi's arms. 

"Goodness this girl is one crazy animal."  She thought to herself.  

30 minutes later the girls arrived at the school cafe. 

"Yesss! We got here at a good time look how short the line is." Bomi exclaimed as they went inside. 

They were met with the warm smell of fresh coffee and the chatter of students. After a few minutes in line they ordered their coffee and went to find a table to wait.

"Happy now?" Bomi said as they sat down.

Chorong nodded.

"You better not flake on me on Friday." Bomi said.

"Okay okay."

Chorong looked around the café. It looked just the same as it had before she'd left for China except for the polaroid wall which looked a little fuller.

She noticed a guy at the counter placing his order. Somehow he looked familiar from the back but she wasn't sure. Eventually he turned around from the counter yawning as he shoved his wallet into his jeans pocket and Chorong recognized his face.

"Oh the guy from my class..."  Chorong thought. Yep, definitely the same guy. 

"Changsub oppa?" 

Chorong looked around for the source of the voice and to her surprise it was Bomi who had spoken. "What the heck did she know this guy?"

Changsub waved at Bomi and walked over to them. 

"Hey Bomi." 

"Oppa! Long time no see." 

His eyes fell on Chorong with a look of mild surprise.

"Wait aren't you from that class…?"

"Hi again." Chorong said awkwardly.

"You're friends with Bomi?" He asked.

"We're roommates." She replied.

"Woah… small world." Changsub said. 

"Yeah."

"Sorry I should introduce myself properly, I'm Changsub." He extended his hand.

"I'm Chorong." As she took his hand to shake it she noticed a bit of a tattoo peeking out from his sleeve. "Interesting…" She thought.

Bomi stood looking suspiciously between the two.

"What's going on here?" She asked.

"We kinda met in class the other day." Chorong explained.

"I see…" Bomi raised an eyebrow.

At that moment the café worker called out their orders.

"Order 66! Order 67!"

"Oh that's us." Bomi said checking her receipt.

"I'll get it." Changsub said standing up.

As Changsub went to grab their drinks Bomi leaned in closer to Chorong.

"Unnie." She whispered.

"What." 

"Since when did you start talking to boys in class? You never talk to people." 

Chorong rolled her eyes. 

"Oh geez it wasn't anything I just asked him to pick up a paper that fell off my desk. How do you know him anyways?"

"He's one of Eunkwang oppa's friends. He's single you know." Bomi wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. 

"Stop it Bbom-ah." Chorong slapped Bomi's shoulder threateningly. 

"Everything okay?"

The girls looked up to see Changsub holding their drinks looking at them with concern. 

"Absolutely." Bomi replied innocently. 

"Okay then." Changsub said looking slightly confused as he handed them their drinks. 

The girls took their coffees from him and they all got up to leave the cafe. 

"Oppa you're going to be at noraebang on Friday right?" Bomi asked once they were outside.

Changsub nodded.

"Yeah. You? Eunkwangie hyung said you're bringing friends?"

"I'm trying to but this one here is giving me trouble." Bomi said making a face at Chorong.

Chorong smirked and sipped her coffee.

"Thanks for the coffee Bbom-ah."

"Aigoo my wallet is going to die at this rate…" Bomi said shaking her head. She checked her phone and yelped.

"Oh my gosh I've gotta run my class is on the other side of campus! See you guys later!" She waved and ran off towards the performing arts center.

Changsub and Chorong stood awkwardly for a moment as they watched Bomi torpedo through the other students.

Changsub spoke first.

"Well I guess we'd better get to class too." He said.

Chorong nodded.

They walked in silence. Chorong couldn't think of anything to talk about since they were still basically strangers. Aquaintances? Friends of friends? Still, it felt kind of nice to have company on the way to class.

Little did she know this walk to class would soon become a regular thing.
