Saturday Afternoon, Winter Break

The boys' new apartment.

Changsub wiped his brow as he set down the last box inside the living room of the new apartment. It had taken all morning to get their things moved in and they were still missing some furniture, but there was an air of excitement and freshness about the place.

Eunkwang was out with Bomi picking up some home essentials from the store and Hyunsik was busy assembling the bed frames in the other room.

Chorong had also insisted on coming to help and had busied herself with organizing the kitchen cabinets.

Changsub pulled up a chair at the kitchen counter and Chorong turned around with a smile.

"Taking a break?" She asked.

"Yeah." Changsub nodded.

"Let me get you some water."

Chorong opened one of the cabinets and retrieved a glass which she filled up and handed to Changsub.

He accepted it gratefully and took a long drink.

"Thanks Rong."

Chorong came around the other side of the counter to sit beside him.

"So that new roommate of yours is coming over today right?" She asked.

Changsub finished his water and put down the glass.

"Well first of all nothing is set in stone yet, and second I've already decided to share a room with Hyunsik. Eunkwangie hyung can have the new guy IF we decide to take him which I already think is a bad idea."

"How can you be so sure it's going to be bad? You haven't even told me who it is yet." Chorong nudged Changsub's shoulder.

"Come on tell me I want to know." She said.

Changsub gave her an annoyed look.

"Oh you'll see when he gets here. Go ahead and go crazy with your fangirl mode when he walks in the door I won't mind it one bit." He said sarcastically.

"Yah what do you mean fangirl mode?? Is it somebody famous?" Chorong asked.

Changsub made a face and got up to refill his water.

Hyunsik came out of the bedroom and took Changsub's seat at the counter.

"Hey can you get me one too?" He asked, gesturing towards Changsub's glass.

Changsub grabbed another cup and filled both. He handed one to Hyunsik who downed it in one gulp.

"How are the bed frames coming along?" Chorong asked.

"All done, just need help moving the mattresses after this." Hyunsik said.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door.

Hyunsik checked his phone.

"Oh damn it's already 1 o'clock that must be him."

He got up and went to get the door.

As the he pulled it open Chorong gasped.

There in the doorway stood the university's star athlete from the track team, Lee Minhyuk.

"Hi…uhh…is this the house with the three music majors?" He asked.

"Yeah that's us. Come on in." Hyunsik said with a smile.

He opened the door wider and Minhyuk stepped inside.

"Soooo you must be the guy I was talking to last night?" Minhyuk said to Hyunsik.

"Oh yeah that was me. Sorry I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Hyunsik and that over there is Changsub and Chorong." He said, gesturing towards the other two.

Minhyuk's eyes fell on Chorong and he looked slightly confused.

"I didn't know there was going to be a girl living here." He said.

Chorong blushed slightly and shook her head.

"Oh no I'm just helping them move in." She said.

"Ah I see. My bad."

Minhyuk gave her a friendly smile and offered a hand.

"I'm Minhyuk, nice to meet you."

Chorong shyly accepted the handshake.

Minhyuk then turned to Changsub and tried to shake his hand as well.

"Nice to meet you too." He said.

Changsub nodded stiffly in response but after a discrete kick in the shins from Chorong he reluctantly shook Minhyuk's hand.

Just then the front door opened again and Bomi shuffled in carrying two boxes of fried chicken. She took one look at Minhyuk and dropped the boxes with a surprised squeak.

"Omo…w-what is Lee Minhyuk doing here?" She exclaimed.

Eunkwang came in behind Bomi holding a boxed shoe rack in one arm and a large package of toilet paper rolls in the other.

"Oh he's here already?" Eunkwang said grinning widely at Minhyuk as he set down his things. He grasped Minhyuk's hands and shook them vigorously.

"Wahhh I can't believe the famous Lee Minhyuk is here with a bunch of nobodies like us!" He said excitedly.

"Me? Famous?" Minhyuk said looking slightly awkward as Eunkwang continued shaking his hands.

"Oh yes everyone knows who you are at school! Anyways my name is Eunkwang, and that's my girlfriend Bomi." Eunkwang looked over at Bomi and frowned.

"Jagiya why are you gawking like that?"

Bomi recovered from her shock and quickly scrambled to pick up the boxes of chicken which had thankfully stayed intact.

Eunkwang turned back to Minhyuk.

"We were going to have lunch soon. You should join us! I just need to go unload the rest of the stuff in the car first and then we can eat and get to know each other."

"Cool thanks, do you need help or anything?" Minhyuk said.

Eunkwang beamed.

"Yes that would be awesome!" He turned to Changsub.

"Changsub-ah you come too."

Changsub grumbled and followed Eunkwang and Minhyuk out the door.

As soon as the door closed Bomi hurried over to the kitchen counter and put down the chicken boxes.

"Why didn't anyone tell us Lee Minhyuk was gonna be here?!" She hissed at Hyunsik.

Hyunsik laughed.

"Because we knew you girls were going to freak out. Imagine if Namjoo heard about it and showed up today. She'd be all over him and probably scare him away."

"Well yeah that's true but this is huge news! She's totally going to have a field day. In fact I'll text her right now." Bomi said pulling out her phone.

Hyunsik quickly grabbed Bomi's phone away.

"Not so fast, we haven't completely decided." He said.

"What do you mean? It’s THE Lee Minhyuk of course you have to take him in!" Bomi said as she tried to grab her phone back.

"Yes yes we know but we still have to ask him some questions and make sure he's okay first before we do anything. We can't have Namjoo blabbing to the whole school just yet." Hyunsik replied.

"But why do you need to question him? He seems nice enough." Chorong said.

Hyunsik sighed as he continued to hold Bomi's phone out of reach.

"Yeah he seems alright…I don't mind giving him a chance but Changsub isn't too keen on living with a hotshot like him, especially with the weird rumors going around."

"Rumors?" Chorong asked.

"Oh haven't you been listening unnie? Namjoo's been dumping all kinds of gossip about Minhyuk and his girls." Said Bomi as she finally managed to snatch her phone away from Hyunsik.

Hyunsik eyed Bomi sternly and she scowled.

"Okay okay fine I won't text Namjoo." She said, pocketing her phone.

"Anyways…" She continued, "Everyone knows he's been sneaking around bringing girls into the boys dorm but Namjoo also says he's been exchanging money with people too."

"Wait that was real?" Chorong asked in surprise. "I thought Namjoo was just making up stuff to change the subject at lunch because you and I were uhh…fighting that day." She finished awkwardly.

Bomi shrugged.

"Well…he's been seen doing it several times now so something must be going on."

"He can't be buying drugs or anything like that right?" Chorong asked in a hushed voice.

"No I don't think so, the athletics department does routine testing all the time they would've caught him by now if he was. But who cares, it's Lee Minhyuk! He's hot enough to get away with anything if you ask me." Bomi said as she opened the box of chicken and took a piece.

"Hey shouldn't you wait until your boyfriend comes back before you start eating." Hyunsik teased.

Bomi shot him a glare.

"Oh for heaven's sake Eunkwang oppa won't dump me for calling another guy hot okay. He knows he won't be able to get another girl if I leave him so he'll let me do whatever I want. And besides I paid for the chicken so you're welcome."

She popped the piece of chicken into and her fingers.

Suddenly there was a loud thump outside from the hallway and a muffled curse.

"Oh that must be the boys." Chorong said as she rushed to open the door.

Eunkwang staggered in trying to carry one end of a large box which contained the new sleeper sofa. Changsub held up the back of the box looking slightly out of breath.

"Careful don't hit the doorframe." Chorong said nervously as the two boys inched their way inside with the box.

Minhyuk came in behind them carrying several bags of miscellaneous home items.

"I could've helped carry that." He said as Eunkwang and Changsub carefully set down the box by the wall.

Eunkwang shook his head and dusted off his hands.

"Nonsense. Your body is worth too much scholarship money to risk hurting yourself carrying heavy things." He said to Minhyuk with a smile.

Changsub rolled his eyes.

"Must be nice to have such preciously valuable muscles."

His stomach growled loudly.

"Looks like somebody needs lunch." Hyunsik said, laughing.

"Uh hello? I've been needing lunch for the past hour! Let's eat already." Said Bomi.

She brought the two boxes of chicken to the middle of the living room and everyone gathered around in a circle on the floor.

"Sorry I should've brought something to share too." Minhyuk said as they all sat down. 

"Nah it's fine man help yourself." 

Eunkwang grinned and handed Minhyuk a set of chopsticks.

"Now how about you tell us more about why you want to live here."

A/N  Aaaand the red man has arrived lol. You might ask why Hyunsik wasn't helping them carry the box...haha...I was thinking about Cool Men when Eunkwang was carrying the front part of the boat and Changsub took his spot. That moment was so touching but somehow the image of Eunkwang lifting a box is funny to me OTL.
