“You're just confused Jungsoo—” I replied, believing that he’s just pulling a prank on me that’s why he seemed restless and unable to face me.

But he then twisted his body to be face to face with me before looking at me straight in the eyes with pure sincerity in his eyes.

“No. I’ve thought about it a lot. And I always arrive at the same conclusion every time—that I like you. I still like you.” He said with conviction in his voice.

This time, I paused. Finally taking his words seriously and actually processing its meaning.

Jungsoo just confessed to me, but it doesn’t feel right. We might have become civil with each other after spending some time at work and clearing up the decades-old misunderstanding but it should not be enough.

It’s shouldn’t be that easy. Liking someone shouldn’t be this simple right?

“You must be mistaken.” I replied, after minutes of awkward silence.

“What do you mean—” He started to ask, but I really felt responsible to correct his misconception.

“You’re just hung up with your memory of me as a child. That’s why you’re confused right now. You probably don’t really swing that way…”

I paused, seeing that he is just listening to me with disbelief in his eyes.

 “A-and about what happened at the gazebo… you’re just drunk at that time. If you are sober—”

I started to finish my argument but Jungsoo suddenly cut off my words.

“I’m perfectly sober
