I was walking in strides towards the elevator on my way to the building roof deck while my heart was beating faster with every step. After witnessing Heechul’s reaction towards what Mr. Kang had said before leaving, it gave me the spark hope that maybe—

I saw him run away before my visitor was gone. When I asked my staff after Mr. Kang was gone, someone said that he saw him at the elevator going up to the roof deck so I quickly went and followed him.

I walked slowly towards the deck and found Heechul looking over the afternoon view of Seoul. Even from looking at his back, I still feel myself getting enchanted with him.

I sneakily approached him and carefully slipped beside him.

“Hey.” I greeted quietly, trying not to scare him too much.

“Aish! you Jungsoo!” he instantly exclaimed in surprise.

I can’t help but laugh at how cute he is being surprised like that.

“Haha, sorry, sorry. I got so tempted.” I replied with a laugh but in reality, I was mentally figuring out how to ask him about what happened earlier.

“Want me to pour this coffee on you?” he asked ‘angrily’ but his eyes were definitely telling me that he was hiding something.

I know that this is my opportunity to ask the question so I did.

“So… why are you here Chul?” I asked candidly.

“Why? I wanted to enjoy my coffee break with fresh air.” He scoffed.

“I saw you running away.” I pursued.

“No, I wasn’t.”

“Are you mad at me?”

“Why would I be?”

“Because of what Mr. Kang said?” I asked, testing the waters.

“What?! What did he say?” he then snapped at me but surprisingly continuing his rant and not letting me reply.

“About your engagement? Well, I don’t care that you didn’t tell me about it. And shouldn’t you be solving the problem instead of lurking here? Unless of course you decided that you can just get married to—”

“Wait! wait—stop. Calm down.” I instantly cut off Heechul from his rant to confirm my hunch.

“By any chance, are you jealous?” I asked with a smile that I can’t help but have.
