Jiwoo was inside her studio in Kyungsoo’s flat, keeping herself entertained by mixing together random sounds that she had recorded on her way to and from work earlier during the day. Layering different effects on top, Jiwoo hit play and then proceeded to freestyle an accompaniment on the piano keyboard, letting her mood guide the tune and vibe of the melody.

Feeling thirsty, Jiwoo reached for her glass only to find it empty. She unwillingly stood up and dragged her feet into kitchen only to find Sehun sitting on the floor by the coffee table, scribbling away on piles of paper.

“What are you doing here?”

“Avoiding Heejin as she packs her stuff,” Sehun mumbled, looking up from the papers he was working on.

Pouring herself a glass of water, Jiwoo shuffled towards the sofa and sat down, lifting her legs up and tucking them under her in the process.

“How did she take it?”

“Not well. Thought that she was going to bite my head off. She did look like she was ready to dig a hole and hide in it once she saw Kyungsoo enter.”

“She better be scared,” Jiwoo snarled as she leaned over the armrest.

Stretching her arms out and curling her back, Sehun was reminded very much of a cat and he had to fight back the urge to extend his hand and ruffle her hair. Clearing his throat, Sehun slapped his cheeks softly to regain concentration.

“She seems to have a lot against you.”

“Who Heejin?” Turning to look at Sehun, Jiwoo scrunched her nose cutely. “She needed someone to blame for all the things going wrong in her life at the time and I happened to be a convenient target.”

“She seriously underestimated you then,” Sehun observed.

“She was convinced that what she had with Yeol was far more superior than the brother-sister bond we had.”

“You must have really wanted to dash over and give her a piece of your mind then after finding out that she was my flatmate.”

“Nah, not worth the trouble,” Jiwoo hummed. “Plus she’s lost enough as it is.”

“You’re being pretty zen about all this.

“Don’t take me wrong,” Jiwoo snorted. “Mind you I still want nothing to do with her. The psycho tried to threaten me with a knife.”

“She what?” Sehun yelped, feeling like his heart was about to jump
