Today Wendy has a show at MBC music festival while Irene MC-ing the event. Yeri is busy recording for her new web drama while Joy has scheduled with the cosmetic product that she endorsed. Seulgi escorts Wendy and Irene while the youngest members are escorted by Moonbyul and Chungha.

To kill her boredom, Seulgi decides to walk around. It has been 2 hours since the show started so Seulgi has nothing to do. The managers and other staff are busy attending Wendy and Irene so no one is there to talk to her. As she walked aimlessly, she saw someone hiding at the corner. She looks at the direction where that person is currently looked at. There is someone sitting at the bench look like not in a good mood

“Familiar,” she whispered. To solve the puzzle in her mind, she approach that guy and tapped his shoulder lightly “Suho-ssi” she whisper

Suho jolted up and turned around “Kang Seulgi-ssi, right?”

“Yes, I am” Seulgi smiles to the EXO leader “Stalking someone?” she ask

The guy looked nervous and rubbed his nape “Em…that…”

Seulgi chuckles then she takes a look again “Blackpink Jisoo…do you want to approach her?” she said after confirm the person that they stalk is Kim Jisoo

“As if I can” Suho slump his shoulder

“Why?”

“I’m worried if I scare her. I don’t want people to think wrongly too”

“By any chance, do you like her?” Seulgi asked randomly

Suho gulps down nervously “How…how do you know?”

“I do read articles about both of you. I thought it was just a rumor but judging from your body language, you do like her, right?”

“Y-yeah, I have feelings for her but you know it’s not easy to approach her. Just seeing her closely is good enough for me. She is always busy with her job so I don’t want to disturb her. Besides, I heard she is close with someone lately” Suho hopeless

Seulgi rubbing her chin, thinking of something “Hm, waits here for a while”

“Where are you going?”

“Become a cupid” Seulgi wiggle her eyebrows then leaving Suho alone

Before she approaches Jisoo, she goes to a vending machine nearby to buy drinks. It’s awkward if she approaches her just like that. She gets banana milk for Jisoo and a can of coffee for herself

Seulgi coolly hold out the milk in front of Jisoo making the girl surprise “Banana milk for you” she said with sweet smile

“Who are you?” Jisoo hesitantly. She still not accept the drink that Seulgi offer

“I’m not a bad person. I am Kang Seulgi, bodyguard of Red Velvet”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, you can ask them later to confirm it”

Hearing the convincing explanation, Jisoo finally lower her guard and receive the milk “Thank you”

After that, Seulgi sat beside Jisoo and they talked about something. Few meters away, Suho still waits for Seulgi to come back. He wonders what on earth is Seulgi currently talking about with Jisoo because the Blackpink older member is not as sad as she is earlier. Seulgi presence bring laughter to Jisoo

10 minutes later, Seulgi comes back while Jisoo also goes back to her waiting room in the opposite direction. Suho quickly come out from his hideout

“Yah, what do you talk about with her?” Suho ask impatiently

Seulgi take a piece of paper from her pocket than give to Suho “You can thank me later” she said then leave that guy alone

Suho unfolds the paper then his eyes open wide seeing Jisoo's phone number written on the paper. He can’t contain his happiness and jump like a stupid. Luckily there is no one else at the hallway or they will think he is crazy. He runs back to their waiting room with happiest smile

“Please Sejeong, I can’t go with you”

“Wendy-ah, just hangouts for a while”

“Sejeong-ssi, don’t force her. Please get out of here”

“Yah, stop controlling her. She has rights to go out with anyone”

Seulgi frowned when she heard the commotion inside the waiting room. That is Eunji, Wendy and Sejeong voice. Wendy and Irene share a waiting room with Apink for today's event. Before everything gets worse, Seulgi decides to enter. She opened the door harshly and earned attention from the people inside the room

“What happened here?” she ask with serious tone

“Seulgi-ssi, please drag her out of here. She is disturbing us” Eunji answered. Managers and other staff also begging with their eyes

“I’m not disturbing you. I just come here to talk to Wendy” Sejeong protest

Seulgi looked at both singers sternly then she turn to Wendy “Wendy-ssi” she ask for explanation

“She force me to go out with her even I reject her invitation” Wendy said

Seulgi sighs “Sejeong-ssi, please get out of here. Wendy-ssi said she don’t want to go out with you so please respect her decision”

Sejeong gritted her teeth and glared at the bodyguard “Yah, you don’t have to tell me what to do. You’re just a bodyguard here!”

Everyone shock hearing Sejeong retaliate but Seulgi still maintain her calmness “Sejeong-ssi, please leave while I’m still nice”

“Why? You want to drag me out? Try me” Sejeong provoke

Seulgi smirked and then she walked closer to Sejeong. She leans forward and whispers to her ear. Sejeong's reaction changed from tense to scared after Seulgi whispered something to her. Seulgi take few step back and smile

“Let me walk you to the door”

Without protest, Sejeong turns around and Seulgi follows her. She nicely open the door for Sejeong then close it again after she leave

“Thanks Seulgi-ssi” said Eunji

“Not a big deal. It is my job after all”

“Seulgi-ssi, what do you whisper to her just now?” Apink leader asking curiously

“I told her, if you want to see another year, please stop disturbing Wendy and Eunji” Seulgi innocently said

“Yah!” everyone yell then Seulgi laughing

“Kang Seulgi, you’re kidding, right?” Irene pinch Seulgi elbow

“Yah, yah, yah…I'm just kidding” Seulgi removed Irene's hand from her elbow. Irene's figure is small but her touch is no joke “I told her something that I can’t tell you all. It is secret between me and her”

Wendy rolled her eyes “We better not ask her anymore. She will not telling us”

“Alright, do you all finish your schedule already?”

“Yes~”

“Seulgi, I will go home with Eunji tonight. I don’t have schedule for few days” said Wendy

“Noted”

Red Velvet manager approaching them “Seulgi-ssi, Yeri and her team will come back tomorrow morning because weather is bad in their place”

“Okay Manager Im. I will pick her up at agency tomorrow”

“I will inform you their arrival time tomorrow”

Seulgi and Irene go home with Seulgi’s car from their agency. These days, Seulgi will drive the girls with her car to the agency so that the manager doesn’t need to go to their dorm and drive them back after schedule unless Seulgi is on duty so the manager will do their routine. Seulgi's presence makes the manager's job become easier. They are really thankful to her for helping them a lot in attending the girls. She is very reliable person

“Unnie, are you tired?” Seulgi take a glance at Irene before look back to the road

“A little bit. I’m tired from standing with heels for too long”

“You can use my foot massage later”

“Since you’re tired, I will pack food for us then we eat at home”

Seulgi grin “I want to eat ramen at convenient store but you have to rest so I change my plan”

“Seulgi-ah, let’s eat ramyeon. I’m craving for it” Irene said cutely

“Aren’t you tired?”

“I can rest later. Let’s eat ramyeon, okay? Your treat” Irene grin evilly

“Yaaa, I thought you will treat us. You receive big amount of allowance already” Seulgi joking

“Stingy” Seulgi receives a smack from Irene then the older girl sulking “I'm just kidding. Don’t sulk” she poking Irene cheek

“I’m sorry Baechu unnie” Seulgi pinch Irene cheek

They arrived at the usual convenient store. Seulgi successfully brainwashed Irene to consume the snacks that she loved. They often go out at night or occasionally stop at the store to eat ramyeon. Other members don’t know about their routine. They never tell them

Before they go out, Seulgi get something from the back seat “Unnie, take off your heels and wear this” she give her favorite Converse sandal to Irene

“Is this your sandal?”

“Yes, now wear this so you will not hurt your feet more”

“Okay” the sandal size is big for Irene feet

“Wear that giant sandal. It will make your comfortable for sure”

“Let’s go!” both of them get out of the car and happily walk to the store

“Do you have plans for new year eve?”

Irene shakes her head “No, I only have schedule until 30 December then will free until 4 January”

“Okay” Seulgi give small nods then continue eating her food

“If all of you are free then I will be free too. Emm…maybe spend time at my apartment as usual”

“Then you can go to Daegu with me” Irene suggest and she hope Seulgi will agree

“Can I?”

“Of course, go with me…please” Irene showing her puppy eyes

Seulgi ruffle the leader hair “Okay, I will go with you”

“Yay!” Irene squeals then she hugging Seulgi side

“If I say no, what will you do?”

“I will cry entire night until you agree to go home with me” Irene puffed her cheek

“Such a kid” Seulgi giggled “How many members in your family?”

“Only 4 members, me, umma, uncle Yul and grandma”

“Appa?”

Irene sighs “Appa and umma separate since I was too young. I barely know what an appa looks like but according to Uncle Yul, appa is not Korean. He is American man. His family is against his relationship with umma. That is why I never see him. I only have his old picture in my room”

“I’m sorry to hear that” Seulgi give sympathy look to Irene

“It’s okay. I’m fine with that. Besides, I have Uncle Yul who treats me like his own daughter. He told me a lot about appa instead of umma. He said whoever want to marry me must ask for his blessing first”

“You have English name…does it have something to do with your dad?”

Irene chuckled “You can smell it, huh?”

“I guess it's right?”

“Yes, you are the only person who guesses it right after my family. No one else knows the truth. I have English name because I also have American blood run in my body”

“But your face 100% Korean”

“I take after my mom's face. I don’t know what I inherit from appa because all of my behavior and habit are similar with umma”

“I think so,” Irene agrees with Seulgi, “I will tell umma that I will bring you to our house. They will be excited”

“Alright” Seulgi's smile seeing Irene looked cheerful. She never knows that calm and bubbly face hiding an empty spot deep inside her heart. She thankful that Irene surrounds by people that love her so much and make her feel that she is not lacking anything

There are only both of them at the dorm because Joy goes back to her parents house tonight; Wendy is at Eunji apartment while Yeri will come back tomorrow. While Irene is laughing alone watching the sitcom on TV, Seulgi comes with 2 mugs of hot chocolate for them. She put the mugs on the table then sit beside Irene on the couch

“Hot chocolate?” Irene ask

“Yes” Seulgi continue after few second paused “Yeri and her team schedule to arrive on 10 AM tomorrow”

“You will pick her up?”

“Of course”

“I want to go with you” Irene whine

“Unnie, I will go early tomorrow. I want to send Tiffany Jr. to wash up. After that I will go to agency”

Irene furrowed her eyebrows and squinted her eyes “Tiffany Jr.? Who is it?”

Seulgi leans backward as Irene gets closer “My car, her name is Tiffany Jr.”

Irene pinch Seulgi tummy before back to her position “Early or not, I will go with you. I need to make sure you will not see the human Tiffany!” she grunt

The bodyguard scoot closer to Irene until she just a few cm away from the leader face “Possessive much?”

“Of…course” Irene stutter when she feel Seulgi breath hitting her cheek

“Unnie”

“Em” Irene still looks straight to the front

“Look at me”

“No”

“Why?”

“You’re too close”

“Look at me unnie” Irene still not turn her face “Leader-nim” no respond from Irene “Irene-ssi” Seulgi smirk “My future girlfriend”

“Yah!” Irene punch Seulgi shoulder

Without warning, Seulgi kisses Irene cheek. Irene's shock is deadly and her face turns red. She is really embarrass even no one else see Seulgi kissing her

“Yes unnie? Want more?”

“Don’t tease me~”

“I’m not teasing you. I just kiss you”

“You make me shy”

“Your cheek is squishy. I want to kiss it often”

Irene getting shy at Seulgi confession “You steal the kiss”

“You looked cute when jealous. I forgot to tell you” Seulgi cackle “Now; I want to kiss another cheek. Look at me”

Irene slowly turns her face to Seulgi then the bodyguard quickly kisses her right cheek “Okay, done! Unnie don't be shy. You can kiss mine if you want” Seulgi showing her cheek to Irene

“Seulgi~” Irene whine as Seulgi keep teasing her

“Alright, I will stop teasing you” Seulgi sit properly

“I want to sleep” Irene yawn after finish her drink

“Go to sleep. It’s quite late already”

“Seulgi-ah”

“Yes unnie?”

“Carry me”

“Carry you?” Irene nods cutely “You’re not heavy?”

“Yah!” Irene sulking

Seulgi laughing again then she stand up “Okay, let’s go your highness” she carefully lift Irene up and carry the leader to her bedroom

“Am I heavy?”

“Not at all” Seulgi stare at Irene eyes softly

Irene tighten her arms around Seulgi neck when the bodyguard want to stand up after put her on the bed “Don’t go”

“Why?” Seulgi ask innocently

“Don’t leave me”

“I’m not leaving you. I just sleep in my own room”

“Sleep here with me” Irene smile as she have eye contact with her favorite monolid eyes

“Are you sure?”

“Yes”

“What if you wake up without clothes tomorrow?”

“Then you must marry me as soon as possible because you took my first time”

Seulgi cackled, “I will not do that stuff. Before I sleep with you, you have to bribe me first”

“With what?”

“Kiss” Seulgi puckered her lips

“On lips?”

“Anywhere you want. Come on, I’m waiting”

Irene heaves a soft sigh then she slowly leans in. Her eyes still glue on Seulgi's face while waiting for her lips to land anywhere. In the end, Irene pressed their lips together. Both of them kiss each other for the first time. It just soft and sweet kisses without lust

“Your lips is addicting” Seulgi commented after their first kiss

“I verified that you are my property with lifetime validity”

“Okay boss” Seulgi peck Irene lips again then she join the leader on the bed

Irene scoot closer to Seulgi then uses Seulgi arm as her pillow. She rest her head on Seulgi chest while the bodyguard give her warm hug

Seulgi reply with kiss on Irene forehead “Goodnight unnie”

Irene and Seulgi arrived at Bae residence safely. They depart late from Seoul because Seulgi pampered Tiffany Jr. first. Traffic also jammed badly because everyone busy with their last minute shopping for New Year eve

“Aigoo, cramp” Seulgi stretching after she get out of the car then she pat her

“What’s wrong with your ?” Irene leisurely walk to Seulgi side

“Cramp, can you pat it for me?” Seulgi grin goofily while turn around so Irene facing her

“Stupid. Let’s get our stuff and go inside. It cold here” Irene fixing her scarf

“Okay ma’am!” Seulgi salute then she opens the car trunk to take out their stuff “Tiffany Jr. pleases rest properly, okay? Don’t catch cold” she caresses her car before following Irene

Irene hollered from the foyer after takeoff her shoes then she get 2 pairs of slippers for both of them to keep their foot warm

“Grandma!”

“Hyunnie, I’m at living room” the elder answer back

“Come on” Irene led them to the living room. She excitedly skipped to the living room to meet her family “Grandma!”

“Omo, my baby Hyunnie” Grandma Bae welcoming Irene with warm hug

“Grandma, I miss you” Irene said with aegyo. Seulgi suddenly feel like throw up because of the leader aegyo

“I miss you too my baby” Grandma Bae noticed someone standing behind Irene “Hyun, you not introducing your friend to me?”

Irene palm her own forehead as she forgot Seulgi “Grandma, this is my friend, Kang Seulgi”

Seulgi bow politely “Nice to meet you grandma”

“Nice to meet you too sweetie. Have a sit” Grandma Bae pats Seulgi head softly “Are you a member of Red Velvet too?”

Irene and Seulgi suddenly laughing “No grandma, I just one of their staff” said Seulgi

“Oh, I thought you were also an idol like Joohyun. You have idol aura” Grandma Bae cackle

“I’m not as beautiful as Irene unnie to be an idol” Seulgi said innocently

Grandma Bae furrowed her eyebrows “Is everyone needs to be beautiful to become an idol?”

“Of course, look at unnie. Isn’t she beautiful?” Seulgi turns her face to Irene then the leader pushes her face to look at the other side again. Irene already blushing madly because Seulgi keep praising her beauty

“You’re right, my granddaughter was born pretty. She is the second most beautiful girl in Daegu”

Seulgi opens her eyes wide, can’t believe that Irene got second place “Who is the prettiest? That person must be very pretty”

“Her mother and when I was young, I used to be number 1 too” Grandma Bae said proudly. Irene getting embarrassed because her grandmother praising herself without hesitation

“I admit that you’re really pretty. You shall stay in the first place”

“I give chance for my daughter and granddaughter” said Grandma Bae

Seulgi and Grandma Bae are into their conversation that they forget about Irene's presence. Irene can’t believe that Seulgi is close to her grandma that quickly but when she thinks again, Seulgi is very friendly and extroverted so she doesn't have problems when meeting new people. She has her own charms that make people like her in no time. Same as now, Seulgi cracks jokes that make her grandma laughing. They are also gossiping about random topics from the political stuff, entertainment, and world issues, pandemic until what happens in their house this morning. Both of them blend well with each other. She know Seulgi will close with her mother and her uncle too

“Hyun” grandma Bae voice make Irene back from her own thought

“Yes grandma”

“Is Seulgi sharing a room with you or is she sleeping in the guest room?”

Irene looked at Seulgi before answering. Surprisingly, the bodyguard showing puppy eyes as if she give signal to Irene “She will share room with me”

“Okay, you two go upstairs and rest. I will call you again when your mom and uncle arrive”

“Okay grandma” both of them go upstairs with their stuff

Now they are in the purple color room which is Irene's favorite color. Her room is a bit bigger than her room at the dorm. She has a king size bed, study table at the corner of the room, walk-in closet, attached bedroom, a cabinet display where she put their album collection and some trophies and she also has a TV set right in front of her bed. Her room also have big balcony that equipped by simple outdoor furniture

“I thought you will let me sleep in guest room” said Seulgi while sitting on the bed edge

“No way will I let you sleep there. Your duty now is to hug me every night so you not allow sleeping in other room” Irene stated firmly

“Okay boss”

“Do you want to wash up or just change your clothes? If you wash up, I will prepare warm water for you”

Seulgi smirk “Are you doing wife duty now?”

Irene practically jumps in shock “W-what?”

“Nothing, I will wash up” said Seulgi

“Okay, bring your cloth to the closet. I have extra space for you” Irene said before she goes to bathroom

Seulgi gathered with the Bae family after Irene's mother and uncle arrived. Same as Grandma Bae, the mother and uncle get close with Seulgi in no time. They are chit-chatting happily like they used to meet each other for years. Her uncle is the happiest because Seulgi is interested in men's topics like football, fishing and car. Both of them also find out that they have something in common which is that both of them are coffee addicts. Seulgi said coffee that Irene made is the best and her uncle complain because Irene never make coffee for him

“Seulgi-ah, if I’m not mistaken, I used to see you with Red Velvet members on TV. What is your profession actually? You’re not just a staff member, don’t you?” Uncle Yul asking Seulgi

“I am their bodyguard”

“Oh, no wonder you have strong body” Irene mother said

“You must be workout a lot” said Uncle Yul

“Yes uncle, I need to maintain my fitness”

“That’s good then. Don’t be lazy like them” Uncle Yul signals his eyes to his sister, niece and his mother

“We’re not lazy Yul. We just busy with chores” said Irene’s mother

“Umma is right. We busy make food for you” Irene added

“I also active in sport when I was young” Grandma Bae show off again

“Let them win, Seulgi. Don’t ever argue when they already join force” Seulgi just laughing at Uncle Yul statement

“Uncle, do you have plans for our New Year eve?” Irene asking their family event masterminds. Her uncle is very creative in making plans for their family. He always comes with fun idea

“This year I only plan to have a barbecue party since we have guests. I already bought premium beef that you like and fresh seafood. We will have bulgogi as special dish~” Uncle Yul cheerfully said

Mrs. Bae added “Your grandma also baked carrot cupcake”

Irene's face lightened “Is it true grandma?”

“Yes sweetie, I made a lot for you and Seulgi”

“Yay!” both of them cheer up

“Umma will cook rice cake soup, kimchi dumpling and galbi jjim” said Mrs. Bae

“Wow, you all prepare lot of food” Seulgi said excitedly

“Yeah, we prepare something special for our guests. This is first time Joohyun bring her friend to our house to celebrate New Year together so we are very excited” said Mrs. Bae

“Aigoo, thank you very much umma, grandma and uncle” Seulgi happily bow her head

“You all don’t worry about having leftovers. Seulgi will finish it all. She is human vacuum cleaner” Irene pat Seulgi head then they laughing

“You two should rest while we prepare our dishes” said grandma

“We want to help you all”

“No, just rest in your room. We will call you two when everything is finish”

“Okay grandma”

“Go now before grandma change her mind” said Uncle Yul

“Alright uncle”

Seulgi and Irene laze on the bed, cuddling while watching a music show. Irene is so clingy since they enter her room. Soon as the door close, she boldly jump to Seulgi embrace and the bodyguard carrying her to the bed

“Yes”

“What if someone sees us like this? What will you say to them?”

“I will tell them that you’re mine and we getting married” Irene smile ear-to-ear

“Really? That fast?”

“Yes, I told you that you’re my property so that’s mean you’re mine”

“Alright” Seulgi kiss Irene lips then playfully bit her lips

“Yah!” Irene push Seulgi away

“Why?” Seulgi cackle

“Don’t bite!” Irene rubbing her lips

“Aigoo, I’m sorry. Let me make you feel better” Seulgi cupped Irene's face and kissed her again but softly this time “Feel better now?”

“Yes” Irene said quietly

“That’s good then” Seulgi peck Irene lips before back to their position

“Seulgi~”

“Yes”

Irene tightened her embrace on Seulgi torso “Are you leaving me one day?”

“What do you mean?”

“You’re working under contract, don’t you?” Seulgi nods slowly “If your contract ends, are you leaving me too?”

“Of course not, contract end doesn’t mean we will end too…we don’t have contract”

“Promise?”

“Yes, I’m promise” their pinky finger link with each other to seal their promise

“Now let sleep, umma will wake us up later”

“Do we have another guest tonight?”

“No, just us”

“Alright, let sleep” Seulgi kissing Irene forehead before both of them sleeping

“HAPPY NEW YEAR” everyone clink their wine glass when the clock show 12 o’clock indicating the start of New Year

“Aigoo, this wine taste good” Uncle Yul commented after drink his wine

“This is my favorite. It is fresh from winery at California” Seulgi explained about her wine “Uncle, this wine is for you” Seulgi give a bottle of wine to Uncle Yul

“Omo, thank you sweetie” Uncle Yul receive the wine with bright expression

“You’re welcome, uncle” then Seulgi take another bottle of wine “This one is for umma and grandma”

“Thank you Seulgi-ah” Mrs. Bae said happily while Grandma Bae caressing Seulgi hair

“This one is my mom's favorite wine and it’s good for women. I also consume this wine. It brought from France”

“Wow, I and umma are not into alcohol drink but we will enjoy this wine since it is gift from you” Mrs. Bae said

“I can buy for you again next time if you all want it”

“No problem” said Uncle Yul

“We’re sorry Seulgi-ah because we don’t prepare any gift for you” Grandma Bae said sadly

“Don’t feel bad grandma. Having these delicious foods is the best gift for me. I’m very happy because I’m given a chance to celebrate New Year with your family”

Seulgi smile then she looks at Irene “If unnie invite me again, I will come for sure”

“Hyun, don’t forget to bring Seulgi to visit us when you are free” said Mrs. Bae

“Umma, she is full of surprise. Don’t shock when suddenly she shows up at the door with or without me. She love to give surprise” Irene said to her mother

The elder giggled “Is it true, Seulgi?”

“Usually I will go anywhere my foot brings me. Maybe unnie is right, I could appear anytime at Daegu. I never plan my journey. I just go when I want to”

“Get ready for more surprise visit from Seulgi” Irene added

“We will welcome you anytime” said Uncle Yul

“Let’s continue eating so we could rest quickly” the grandma said then they continue eating

The leader is sleeping soundly on her comfy bed under her warm blanket while her beloved bodyguard is still wide awake. Seulgi is doing a countdown for an event. She staring at her phone clock
