Seoul International College (SIC)

It was typical morning for students and lecturers at SIC where everyone attend doing their activity as usual. Everyone is busy with their classes, group project, and training for whatever competitions as well as sports.

At the hallway at Sport Science Faculty building, a boy named Kang Seulgi as written on his student ID skipped happily to his class. His face looked cheerful as usual and happily greeting everyone with his charming smile. Almost all of the girls in his faculty have crush on him and some of them try to ask him out but always rejected by him.

Soon as he enter the class, his eyes searching for a girl who always make his heart thumping crazily and that girl is none other than Bae Joohyun or well known as Irene, one of the most athletic students in their college. Seulgi is her junior by 2 semesters but because of his academic and sport achievement really impressive, he was successfully finished 2 semesters early than the others and now he joined the senior student classes same as Irene’s.

Her relationship with Kang Seulgi starts from their project where their lecturer makes both of them as partner. They are getting close to each other until Seulgi showing interest at her and start courting her. After few months, Seulgi finally confess and Irene happily accepts him as her boyfriend. Seulgi insist to have silent relationship because he wants to protect Irene from his fangirls so that she won’t attack by unnecessary hurtful words. Irene also agrees with Seulgi and she’s comfortable dating him in that way. Only her roommate Wendy, Yeri and Joy know about their relationship and she asked them to keep it secret.

Wendy and Yeri major in music while Joy study business management so they only meet each other at their rent apartment nearby. Sometimes they meet at college event or during lunch when their schedule is not really pack. They meet with Seulgi few times when he join them lunch and they acknowledge Seulgi is friendly, kind and humble despite his popularity as one of the best basketball players in their college.

“Good morning my Joohyun” Seulgi take a sit in front of Irene as usual. Usually he will sit at the front side of Irene to avoid any suspicion from their classmate

“Good morning bear. You’re late today”

“I overslept today that’s why I’m late. Did you have breakfast today?”

“Yes, I have breakfast with Joy at the café earlier”

“Okay, do you have class until evening?”

“Yes, I have 2 classes”

Seulgi slump his shoulder “That’s mean no date today”

“Yeah so you spend time alone later”

“I will go to gym I guess. Maybe I will meet with Taeng hyung or Yul hyung”

“Okay, just meet anyone but girls” Irene give warning in playful tone

“Okay, I will behave” Seulgi wink his monolid eye

Irene arrive at home and plop herself on the couch beside Wendy

“You come home quite early today unnie” Wendy said after looking at the wall clock

Irene lie on the couch with her head on Wendy laps “I go home soon after my class finish”

“It’s rare that you not dating”

“Seulgi workout today so we not going out”

“Okay”

Irene sit up suddenly “Where is Yerim?”

“In her room maybe take bath”

Suddenly, Yeri show up and her hair wrapped neatly with towel signaling that she just finish take bath

“Hi Yerimie” Irene waving childishly

Yeri checked the time when she saw Irene around “Aigoo, what is time now?”

“5 PM” Wendy said

“It’s rare that you go home this early since you dating. Usually you come home after 7”

“Yah, I also used to go home early!” Irene whine

“After that you go out again with your boyfriend” Wendy smirk

“I will try to come home early after this” Irene said energetically

“Okay, we’ll see” Wendy and Yeri smirk teasingly

Door clicked open showing Joy with grumpy face

“Sooyoungie, welcome home” they chirped

“Unnie, what’s with that face?” Yeri asked curiously

“What happen to my face?” Joy sits on the floor facing her housemates

“Your face looked ugly” Wendy said innocently and they burst out laugh

“Yah!” Joy yells and throws toy stuff to Wendy

“You looked miserable” Irene said after recover from laughing

“Aishhh, I join debate competition again” Joy pouted

“Wow, that’s cool. Who is in your team?” Wendy asked

“As usual my top members Sunny unnie, Tiffany unnie, Sooyoung oppa and Donghae oppa”

“Wow, your team surely makes the other competitors give up in no time” said Yeri

Joy nods her head “I guess I’m lucky joining their team since they are top debaters from our college. I gain lot of knowledge and confidence since I assigned to join them in competition”

“You’re right” Irene admit

“All of us lucky to be exact. I mean we join the same course with student like Victoria unnie and Hyoyeon oppa who’re really good at music. Taeyeon oppa, Tiffany unnie and Sooyoung oppa who good at business study, sports and debate while Sunny unnie and Yuri oppa also same as them. Then Joohyun’s unnie boyfriend also good at sports and study” said Joy

“They treat their junior kindly and not show off” said Irene

“I meet Taeyeon oppa during our Art club and he really good person. He’s talkative and playful also good at arts” Wendy said

“Wow, do you like him?” they teasing Wendy

Wendy glare at her roommates “That’s doesn’t mean I like him. He treats everyone fairly and no bias”

“I heard that he is single” Yeri said suddenly

“Most of them are single according to Tiffany unnie” Joy added

“So 3 of you have chance to be his girlfriend candidate. Go after him, guys!” Irene pump fist

“Yah, he’s famous playboy in town. You want us to share him at once?” Wendy widened her eyes

Yeri gasped “He really playboy?”

“Yes, he is playboy same as Sooyoung oppa and Yuri oppa. They are best friends since diapers so attitude also similar to each other”

“I guess his twin, Kim Hyoyeon also same with them” Joy guessing

“I will shock if he is not” they laughed

“Girls, we should stop gossiping. I’m hungry” Irene rubbed her tummy

“Today you cook for us unnie” the younger girls showing puppy eyes and Joy don’t have choice but say yes

Irene and Seulgi have date at the park in late evening while enjoying ice cream

“Bear”

“Em?”

“I want to ask something. I curious about this since before but I don’t found the right time to ask” Irene stop eating her ice cream

“Sure, you may ask anything. Don’t let it bothering your mind” Seulgi tossed their ice cream cup to the rubbish bin

“How many girls did you ever date before me?”

Seulgi taken aback by the question “2 only” he said “First girl is during elementary school and the second one is same high school”

“Do you flirt with other girls when you’re single?”

“No” Seulgi said

“I heard that your friends are big players in town” Irene ceases her eyebrows

“You mean Yul hyung, Taeng hyung, Hyoyeon hyung and Sooyoung?”

“Yup, they are your close friends, isn’t it?”

“Yeah, they are known as player and flirt with every girls whenever they have chance” Seulgi answered

“I don’t like it when you have that behavior” Irene stated

“I quit long time ago” Seulgi said. He sneaks his right arm around Irene waist and pulled her closer “Is there anyone around?” he whispered seductively

Irene looking around and found no one at the park since it’s dark already and they are at secluded part of the park “No one, we’re safe”

“I missed you these days” Seulgi run his finger on Irene jawline

“You missed me or you miss doing this with me?” Irene capture Seulgi lips

“You always know what I want” Seulgi smirk after broke the kiss

Irene chuckled “Your action speak louder than words”

“So…” Seulgi slowly sneak his hand inside Irene shirt “Can we?”

“Sadly we can’t. I’m period now” Irene grin

Seulgi pouting “Poor me”

Irene circle her arms around Seulgi neck and lean closer to his neck “You can have me other time when I’m in good state” she kissed his neck

“You make me want you more” Seulgi groan as Irene keep kissing him on his sensitive spot

“You can release later at home but not with other girls out there. I will chop your if you ever do that” Irene sternly said

“I only doing that with you”

Irene stop teasing her boyfriend and sit properly beside him “What if I pregnant with your child? What will you do?”

Seulgi practically gasp “Why you asked that question? Are you pregnant?”

Irene laughed at Seulgi reaction “No, of course not. I just want to know if I accidentally pregnant”

“You’re not going to pregnant. We’re using protection”

“Accident can happen even with protection”

Seulgi sighs “If you pregnant, we will get married. I not going to ditch you with my kid”

“Aigooo, such a loving boyfriend of mine” Irene hugging Seulgi torso

“I love you Joohyun” Seulgi kissed Joy forehead

“I love you too dear”

Irene and Seulgi walk at the hallway while joking around. They don’t realize that Taeyeon and Joy come from opposite direction until Taeyeon yell his name

“Yah, Kang Seulgi!”

Seulgi startled and looking at the voice owner “H-hyung” he greet nervously

“Wow, you joking with this pretty girl and don’t realize that I’m around” Taeyeon glare at Seulgi who practically pale

“I don’t mean that hyung. I’m sorry” Seulgi playfully squeeze Taeyeon biceps

“You always don’t notice me” Taeyeon hit Seulgi hand then he smile at Irene “Bae Irene, right?” Taeyeon offer handshake and Irene accept it

“Ah, yes” Irene giggle while her hand still on Taeyeon hold

“I am Kim Taeyeon” Taeyeon shamelessly introduce himself

“Nice to meet you” Irene suddenly blushing

“Yah, let’s go of her hand” Seulgi hitting Taeyeon hand

“Yah, is it wrong if I want to hold her hand? She is not your girlfriend anyway” Taeyeon retort while Joy behind him just chuckled at the antics since she know Seulgi is jealous

“You hold for too long already” Seulgi rolled his eyes in jealousy “You see your girlfriend is jealous already”

Joy and Taeyeon both startle “My girlfriend?”

“Yes, the one behind you” Seulgi point his mouth to Joy

Taeyeon turn around and saw Joy that he forgot since he talked with Seulgi “This is my course mate, Park Sooyoung also known as Joy. She is not my girlfriend”

Seulgi giggle as he successfully twist the situation “I thought both of you are dating”

“I still single, Irene-ssi” Taeyeon wink at Irene while the girl awkwardly scratch her nape

‘Here we go again’ Seulgi curse in his mind “Hyung, we have to go now. See you around”

“Alright”

They part way and continue to their destination. Seulgi looked over his shoulder to make sure Taeyeon is far away from them

“Such a flirt” Seulgi said

Irene laughing “Are you jealous over your friend?”

“Who on earth is not jealous if someone flirt with his girlfriend?”

“It’s not literally his fault because he don’t know about us”

“Yeah, I can’t blame him fully” Seulgi sighs

“Don’t worry, I won’t fall for him. I just fall for you”

“I know” Seulgi grin happily

Seulgi go to gym as usual for his daily workout routine. At the same time, Yuri and Sooyoung also exercise at the gym. Irene comes along with Wendy, Joy and Yeri since they are free from classes. They exercise quite far from Seulgi and his friends but still can hear what they talked about

“Hyung, where is Taeyeon hyung?” Seulgi join Yuri at the bench while wipe his sweat

“He goes to airport with Seohyun”

“Is he going somewhere?”

“I guess no. Maybe fetch their parents. I heard the Kim is abroad recently”

Sooyoung also join the after finish his exercise “We will visit the new club this weekend, are you coming?” he asked Seulgi

“I not sure, I will inform you if I coming” Seulgi said

“You rarely hangout with us lately, we thought you don’t want to friend with us anymore” said Yuri

Seulgi laughed lightly “I just feel like stay at home and my assignment quite load nowadays”

“Yeah, we understand” Yuri and Sooyoung giggle

On the other side, the girls also gossiping while exercise

“Me and Taeyeon oppa bump into Joohyun unnie and Seulgi oppa few days ago” Joy recall the incident that almost makes her laughed hard

“Really? Are you busted?” Wendy looking at Irene

“No, Seulgi good at handling situation” Irene answered

“Taeyeon oppa tell unnie that he is still single” Joy finally laughed her heart out

“Seriously unnie” Wendy and Yeri also join Joy laughing

“He promote himself to me”

“He don’t have idea that you date his best friend” said Yeri

Joy recovers from laughter “He even said to Seulgi oppa, Irene is not your girlfriend” she imitating Taeyeon

“Seulgi almost fainted because of him”

“Sooyoung, where are you going with Taeyeon oppa?” Wendy looking at Joy

“We go to lecturer office to meet Mdm. Choi” Joy reply

“Are you jealous?” Yeri teasing Wendy

“Yah, I also used to see you walk around with him” Joy smirk

Wendy eyes widened “We back from our club weekly meeting. We walk together because he also on the way to parking lot”

“Woah, both have progress” Yeri clap her hands playfully “Wendy unnie, be more competitive”

“You’re quite lonely these days” Irene said to Wendy

“Aishhh, I not join you all to compete for that playboy” Wendy glare at the girls

“It fun though”

“We’re not doing any competition here” said Wendy while Irene laughed at them

……….

Somewhere at Seoul city, Taeyeon along with his younger sister, Kim Seohyun have a talk with their cousin who just arrive from LA

“It’s been a while since I breathe Korea air”

“The air missed you so much” Seohyun said

“Do you miss me too?”

Seohyun nodded quickly “Yes, I miss you so much. I can’t wait to spend time with you”

“Did oppa treat you well?”

“They bullying me a lot”

“Yah, stop spreading rumors” Taeyeon pinch Seohyun cheek

“They also bullying me back then”

“See, Soojung also admit that you and Hyo oppa are our family biggest bully” Seohyun said happily as her cousin on her side

“Soojung-ah, you and Seohyun are family spoiled brat” Taeyeon whine. Their cousin name is Krystal Jung Soojung. She is from their mother side and close to them the most among the other relatives

“We’re the youngest one on family tree” Krystal high five with Seohyun

“Are you staying here for good?” Taeyeon change their topic

“I not sure yet oppa because I need to take care of lot of things here and at LA so I can’t decide yet”

“Are you pursue you study after this?”

“No, I will take a break. I want to work first then I will continue it. I have to think about him too. I leave him alone here too long already so I guess I want to spend more time with him for now” Krystal chuckled as she think about someone dear to her

“He must be happy seeing you” Seohyun said

“It’s like almost a year since I meet him so I want to make it up now”

“My cousin still suffer love sick even after so many years” Taeyeon joking around

Irene just finished packing her stuff when Seulgi approach her. The other student already leave the class after dismiss few minutes ago. It was their last class for that day so everyone excited to go home

“Hi baby girl” Seulgi hug Irene sideway

“Miss me?” Irene peck Seulgi lips

“Miss you badly”

Irene turns around to face her boyfriend and letting Seulgi pulling her closer “Do you have any schedule today?”

“No, I’m free this evening”

“What about basketball training?”

“Coach Seo have meeting today so he postpone it to tomorrow”

“Alright”

“Now I want to have you” Seulgi smirk naughtily

“Not here Mr. Kang, I don’t want anyone walk in”

“Alright, as usual at my apartment”

“Okay”

Seulgi slowly lean forward to capture Irene lips until they heard the door slammed open. Both of them turn to look at the door and Seulgi face immediately pale and he can’t breathe properly. He immediately let go of Irene from his embrace and sweating a lot even the room is cold

Meanwhile, Irene looking at the fuming girl at the front door and she swear she never see that figure in their college. Behind that girl is Kim Seohyun that Irene know as Taeyeon younger sister

Krystal plan to surprise Seulgi at his college so she not informed Seulgi that she comes back to Korea. It turn out she got a not-so-called surprise from Seulgi. She never expect Seulgi will cheating on her after all sweet words and promise that they made since they start dating 7 years ago. All she wanted to do right now is punch Seulgi until he can’t move his body anymore. She clenched her fist hardly and pushed the door harshly

“Soo… Soojung” Seulgi stutter after compose himself

“After so many years now I found what kind of person you are. I never expect this from you and I never imagine you will give me this big surprise on our 7th anniversary!” Krystal said furiously

Irene still stands on her ground as she still tries to register what actually happen. She really confuse and speechless. It feels like a dream yet it is reality

“Let me explain it Soojung” Seulgi slowly move forward to Krystal whose face flush in anger

“There’s nothing to explain anymore. What else you want to say? You want to tell me that it is just some of misunderstanding and you blame her seducing you? You think I’m that idiot to trust you when I see what you do with that with my own eyes!” Krystal rage is uncontrollable anymore

“Don’t call her , she have name!” Seulgi yell unconsciously

“Wow, you shout at me because of her now Kang Seulgi? You never did it once in 7 ing years and now because of her, you’re not yourself!” Krystal eyes teary

“I’m sorry Soojung” Seulgi apologize after realize his outburst

Krystal unable to think straight anymore and she punch Seulgi right on his face. Seohyun and Irene both shock by Krystal action

“Yah!” Irene panic when she saw Seulgi fall on the floor and he groan in pain while receiving kicks and punches from Krystal. She almost run to Seulgi to help him until Krystal shouted at her

“You don’t ever step your foot here or I will punch you too” Krystal warned firmly while Seulgi waving his hand signaling Irene to step back “Seohyun, call oppa to come here”

“Okay” Seohyun quickly dialed her brother’s number and ask them to come

The twin comes in no time and both panting due to running as fast as they can. Luckily they are nearby so they can come quickly. If they are far from the faculty building, Seulgi might die from Krystal thrash

“Yah, what happen?” Hyoyeon asking his sister and Seohyun just can pointed at the figures inside the room

“Aigooo Soojung, don’t do this” Taeyeon quickly pulled Krystal as she try to slap Seulgi face again

“He is too much oppa. He cheating on me with that ” Krystal pointed at Irene who watching them emotionlessly

“Irene?” the twin looking at the said girl with disbelieve and Irene looked down to her feet

Hyoyeon pulling Seulgi up and sit him on the chair while Taeyeon holding Krystal just in case she make a move again

“Why no one tell me?! Why all of you hide this from me?!” Krystal finally crying in Taeyeon embrace

“Soojungie, we really don’t know that he’s cheating. We not hide anything from you. If we know this beforehand, we won’t wait until you come to thrash him” Hyoyeon glare murderously at Seulgi and he’s well-known with his short temper

“We never thought that he will do this to you” Taeyeon said disappointedly

“Do you want us to hit him for you?” Hyoyeon question make Seulgi eyes widened and he ready to go to the hell

“It’s okay oppa. Don’t tiring yourself because of him. I guess I give him enough lessons already. One thing I make sure now is…” Krystal looking direct to Seulgi eyes “I call off our engagement. I cross my heart” Seulgi lowered his head while the Kim sibling shocked by sudden announcement. Irene also surprise by the information that she just got

“Don’t make decision when you’re angry, Soojungie” Seohyun said

“Do you want your cousin to marry a cheater? I can’t accept it Hyunnie” Krystal sighs

“You should take a rest at home” Taeyeon said to Krystal

“I also plan to go home. The longer I stay here, my hate towards him getting high” Krystal said “I’m leaving” she said and leaved the class

“Oppa, what to do now?” Seohyun asked her brothers

“You sit down first. Don’t think too much about this negative vibe, okay? Let oppa handle it” Hyoyeon talk softly to his sister and cupped her face. Even he’s short-temper, he never shouts at his sister ever since the younger Kim born. Both he and Taeyeon try their best to protect Seohyun from something negative so that their one and only sister will influence with good things only.

“Okay oppa” Seohyun said

“Seul, I really disappointed right now. You screw up big time since we know you” Taeyeon speak

“I’m sorry for hiding it from all of you” Seulgi talk embarrassedly until he can’t make eye contact with the Kim

“You cheating behind our cousin and worse is that person is someone we don’t expect”

“No wonder you spend less time with us lately. This is what you hide from us” Hyoyeon chuckled disappointedly “If I’m alone come here earlier, you’re really die in my hand. Luckily Taeyeon and Seohyun are here so I calm myself. You know what will happen if someone mess with my family” Seulgi not answering Hyoyeon

Taeyeon suddenly stand up and move to Irene place “Irene, are you okay?” he asked tenderly

“I’m okay oppa. Just shocked by what happen just now” Irene answered weakly

“I will call Joy to come here and fetch you to go home, okay? You need rest”

“Okay oppa”

Taeyeon pulled out his phone and call Joy to come to the class. 15 minutes later, Joy arrived with Wendy and Yeri. Soon as they enter, all of them shocked seeing everyone face looked tense and Wendy spotted blood stain on Seulgi shirt while he holding his jaw

“Oppa, what happen here?” Yeri quickly asking

“Long story short, Seulgi is busted cheating with your best friend. The person who caught them is no other than his fiancé” Hyoyeon said boldly

“Oh my God” the girls jaw dropping

“I want all of you to bring Irene back now and she needs rest. We will handle Seulgi. The rest we will talk later” Taeyeon said

“Okay oppa”

“Seohyun will drive you all to your place”

“It’s okay oppa, our place just nearby” Wendy resist

“I will drive you all, I insist” Seohyun said

“Okay unnie” they give in

Hyoyeon slapped Seulgi shoulder hard and he don’t care if it hurt “You, we will take you to hospital. I don’t want infirmary or this college with spreading rumor about us. I don’t want to scratch my image”

“You’re lucky that no one witness the scene” Taeyeon added

“You all may leave now. Take care baby Kim” Hyoyeon ruffled Seohyun hair

“See you at home oppa”

“Alright” the girls follow Seohyun to the parking lot

Few minutes after the girls depart; the twin and Seulgi also leave the class

…………….

In their apartment, Irene isolated herself and she’s not leaving her room except to bathroom and toilet. She also skipped her meal that make her housemate worried about her

“It has been 24 hours since unnie stay in her bedroom and not eating single food. I really worry” Wendy said

“Maybe she still shock by what happen. I guess that case really serious that the Kim tried hard to hide it from anyone in the college” Joy said

“You’re right”

“It bring huge effect to her emotions and I guess she need our support and comfort” Yeri sighs

“You’re right, shall we go to her room?” Joy asked

“Sure, let’s go”

Wendy knocked the door and got permission to enter. Irene lean weakly on the bed post and her eyes puffy

“Unnie, are you okay?” Yeri caressed Irene hand softly

“I don’t know girls” Irene sobbing again

“You’re not hungry? You haven’t eat anything” Wendy asked

Irene shook her head “I don’t want to eat anything”

“We really worried seeing you in this state. Even we don’t know what actually happen but this thing bring huge impact to you. We don’t want you to fall sick” Joy said softly

“I’m sorry because I make all of you worry but that incident hurting me a lot. I never imagine that Seulgi deceive me all this while”

“It’s okay if you don’t want to tell us about that. Don’t think too much about that” Wendy said

“You all have to know it. I also need to share my burden with someone so all of you are the right person”

“If you say so, we lend our ear” said Joy

Irene telling the girls about the entire incident without leaving single information while the older girls feel sorry at her

“If Seohyun is not around, I guess Seulgi will paralyze because of her” said Wendy

“Thanks God she not touching you” Yeri added

“I not blame her for burst out rage. She has every right to act like that. If I’m on her place, I also do the same. This is entirely Seulgi fault for being greedy” Irene know she not suppose to blame Krystal for behave like that and she won’t angry if Krystal hit her too because she deserve it

“No wonder he really wanted to hide the relationship from his friends” they agree with Joy statement

“Krystal so disappointed at Taeyeon oppa and Hyoyeon oppa because she thinks they hide it from her but Hyoyeon oppa denied it”

“They also don’t know about it”

“What will you do after this?” Wendy asked

Irene sighs heavily “I think I will surrender. I don’t have right to fight for someone’s fiancé”

“But you said earlier that Krystal call off their engagement” said Yeri

“It’s true but she says it when she’s still mad”

“We support whatever you decide. You know what the best is for you. We always hold your back” Wendy gives courage to the older girl

“Thanks girls” Irene invites them to group hug

“You should fill your stomach, unnie. Don’t starve yourself because of him” Joy pats Irene’s tummy after pull back from the hug

“Okay, I will eat later”

“Good girl”

Wendy, Joy and Yeri have drinks at cafeteria after finish their activity. Suddenly, Seulgi approach them
