Kang Seulgi is working as executive secretary who is also known as executive assistant for Creative Director of IRENE, Irene Bae. She is very smart and competent, which makes her and Irene have a great teamwork. Seulgi can easily deal with their clients and customers on behalf of her boss. Irene is very proud of Seulgi’s achievement since they started working together. She will never trade Seulgi with anything else

It was typical Friday at IRENE HQ, Seulgi and her boss having discussion in Irene’s office

"Seulgi, do I have an appointment after this and this weekend?" Irene asking while looking at her PC

Seulgi checks her Ipad before answering Irene "Em, you're free this weekend. Today you only have one meeting on 3 PM with marketing department"

"Okay" both of them focused back on their task

Seulgi got ready to hang out with her friends since it was Saturday and she didn't have anything to do. Since it was still early to go, she lounge at living room watching weekend drama

Her phone rang on the coffee table and she hurriedly took the device because the ringtone is assigned for one person. The caller is her boss, Irene Bae

"Hello boss" – Seulgi

"Hello, what are you doing now?" – Irene

"I get ready to meet my friends. Do we need to go somewhere, boss?" – Seulgi

"No, I just stay at home now" – Irene

"So, is there anything I can do for you?" – Seulgi

"Em, I plan of have coffee with you but seem like you're meeting your friends now so nevermind" – Irene

"Boss, why don't you join us? I mean if you don’t mind" – Seulgi

"Can I?" – Irene

"Of course, more is merrier" – Seulgi

"Alright, pick me up. My car is on service now" – Irene

"Noted, I'll arrive in 30 minutes" – Seulgi

"Okay, see you later" – Irene

The call ended then Seulgi skipped to her car and drive to Irene house

Seulgi arrived at Irene's house and she honked the car. Few seconds later, she saw her boss come out with a casual outfit. She jogged outside and opened the door for Irene

"Good afternoon, boss" Seulgi greet with her eye smile

"Good afternoon" Irene said and she enter the car

Seulgi drive them to the place where she will gather with her friends

"Where are we going?" Irene asked

"We'll go to eat first" Seulgi smiled and they just silent along the way to destination

After 20 minutes, they arrived at the meeting place "Here we are" Seulgi said as she pulled off in front of a stir-fried pork restaurant. Irene leans forward to look at the place

"Is this the place?" she asked and felt slightly uneasy. Well, she never go to that kind of restaurant so it a little bit strange for her

"Yes, is there anything wrong?"

"N-no"

"Boss, don't worry. The foods are delicious and hygienic too. Trust me, you'll love it here" Seulgi cheerfully said

"Okay" Irene sighs. She suddenly regret joining her secretary go out

"Boss, let go" Seulgi unbuckle her seatbelt

"Seulgi, can you not be so formal with me? Just call me Irene"

"Sure, let go" they go out of the car and walk to the restaurant

Seulgi pushes the door but it does not open "EH?" She confused then she realize something "Wrong door" she giggle at her own clumsiness and open the other door for them

The place is filled with people who have their lunch and the customers are eating their meal happily. Irene still not used to the crowd and she's getting more regret her decision

Seulgi tip-toeing to look for her friends and she spot them on their usual table at the corner

"There they are" she said "Irene, let’s go" both of them approach Seulgi’s friends

"Girls!" she squealed and run to them

"Seul, what took you so long?" a blonde woman asking

"Sorry Wannie, I pick up someone"

"You come with a friend?" asked Moonbyul

"Yes unnie" Seulgi turned around and pulled Irene on her arm "Here, this is my boss. Ms. Irene Bae" she happily introduce Irene to her friends

"Your boss?" everyone eyes widened in shock

"Yes, why?" Irene and Seulgi both puzzled by the girls reaction

Suddenly all of them stand up and bowed "Hello Ms. Bae"

"Hey, hey, what are you all doing?" Irene asked awkwardly

"Bowed to you of course" one of the girls said

"It's okay, don't need to be formal. We're not at office"

"But..."

"Gi, shut up" Seulgi glare at her friend

"Okay"

"Irene, they are my best friends. This is Jung Giselle, Wendy Son, Kim Yerim, Moon Byulyi, Jennie Kim, Solar Kim, Joy Park and Roseanne Park" Seulgi said and Irene bowed her head

"Nice to meet you all" the boss said

"Nice to meet you too, Ms. Bae" they said and everyone took their seat

"Do you all order our food already?" Seulgi asked

"No, we wait for you" Solar said

"Since you’re the last one to come, you'll pay for our foods, unnie" Rose and Yeri giggle

They love it when Seulgi treats them food because they can order any food they want without limit. Among them, Seulgi is the richest because she works at IRENE, one of the most popular fashion brands in Asia and she is Irene’s right-hand woman which makes her receive high payment among the staff at The IRENE Group. According to everyone who used to work with IRENE, Seulgi is the shadow of Irene. Every words that come from Seulgi’s lips is originally from her boss and it’s valid

"Ayy, this kid" Seulgi punch Rose shoulder

"That is punishment for coming late unnie, as usual" Joy added and Seulgi shot her a glare

"Pay or get stingy title" Moonbyul wiggle her eyebrows

"You all so mean" Seulgi rolled her eyes

"I'll pay for our foods" Irene said suddenly

"It's okay Irene, I'll pay it" Seulgi said

"No, take it as thanks for letting me join all of you. You know this is my first time hanging out with you without business reason. You all may order whatever food and drinks you want. It’s on me” Irene say sincerely

"Okay then" Seulgi give in because she know her boss not accept rejection

Giselle calls the waitress and places their order. After a few minutes, their food was served and everyone enjoyed their meal. Even though it is her first time coming to that restaurant, Irene loves the food so much. The food is very tasty. She’s having fun eating with the girls

"Where do we go after this?" Jennie asked after everyone finished their food

"Let's go to the arcade center. It been a while since we go there" Solar suggest

"Then we go to noraebang" Yerim added with excitement

"Not bad" everyone agree with Solar and Moonbyul suggestion

"Let go now" Wendy said and everyone leave after Irene settle the payment

They return home after having dinner at the food court. Everything is so new to Irene because she never goes to some places that they visit today. Her family will eat at fancy restaurants and also go to luxury places unlike the place that she explores with the girls today. She feels so much fun and relaxed. The girls also invite her to join them whenever they hangouts next time

"Irene, are you having fun today?" Seulgi asked while driving

"Yes, thanks for today" Irene smiled

"No problem"

"Do you all always go to those places when you hang out?"

"Not really. Sometimes we go to other places or hangouts at each other's house and spend the night together. Someday we go to nightclub or bar"

"Your life is so fun"

"You also should have fun like us. Don't just stuck at home as usual"

"Em, I'll join you if I'm not busy"

"But we can't make it at an expensive place. You know, we can't afford it"

"It's okay, I don't mind"

Suddenly they saw cars line up in front of them "Oh gosh, what happened there?" Seulgi said

"Could it be an accident?" Irene look forward, trying to see what happen that make the traffic jam

They saw a policeman come around and Seulgi lowered the window "Sir, what happened there?"

"A big tree falls down and crash into a car so the road disconnected for a while"

"When will it settle?"

"I’m not sure, ma’am. It might take a long time because the workers struggle to cut the tree and bring out the victim. You may take other route or you'll need to wait for hours"

"Okay thanks, sir" say Seulgi then the officer leave

"Is there another route to your house?" Seulgi looking at her boss

"Yes but it was so far and not safe for drive at night"

"If you don’t mind, you will sleep at my house tonight. If we wait for the work to be done, we might sleep in the car tonight"

"Okay, we go to your house" said Irene

"Welcome to my house" Seulgi said as she led them to the living room. Irene just tailing behind

"I'll go upstairs first, you wait here" Seulgi serve a glass of orange juice for her guest before she go to bedroom

"Okay" Irene said

15 minutes later, Seulgi comes back with a pair of pajamas and gives it to Irene. Her face looked fresh signaling she just done shower

"This is your pajama. It is the new set that I received last month so I haven’t worn it yet. Our size is not much different, I think it’ll fit on you”

Seulgi gave brand new pajamas from the IRENE brand to her boss. Seulgi's loyalty to the company to the point that most of her outfits are from IRENE’s brand. 90% of her formal and daily outfits are IRENE’s. Aside from the design suits her taste, which Seulgi is one of the masterminds in every project, IRENE’s brand occupies her closet because those products are given for free to her. Besides Irene herself, Seulgi is the only staff who receives a free product from IRENE whenever the brand releases a new product. That makes Seulgi rarely buy clothes. Who will reject free stuff, right? Not to mention it is from expensive brand

“Go wash up. I already prepared a toothbrush and soap for you. Guest room is on the right"

"Thanks" Irene goes to bathroom upstairs

Later, they lounge at living room watching movie

"Irene, I want to make a drink. What do you want?"

"Alright" Seulgi went to the kitchen to make drinks for them. Few minutes later, she comes back with two mugs of hot chocolate and some snacks for them

"Thanks" Irene sipped her drinks "Seulgi, do you stay alone?"

"Where is your family?"

"My family is at California"

After the movie ends, they go to the kitchen to wash their mug. Irene sleep at guest room while Seulgi return to her room

Next morning, Seulgi woke up early as usual. She makes black coffee and sandwiches for breakfast. She casually read the magazine at the dining table. Her boss has not woken up yet and Seulgi doesn't want to disturb her sleep. Her phone vibrate on the table distracting her

"Unnie, Sooyoung unnie said there is a food fair held at town square and she wants to go later. The others joined, will you come along?" – Giselle

"It sound fun and count me in" – Seulgi

"Alright, what are you doing right now, unnie?" – Giselle

"Breakfast while waiting for my boss wake up" – Seulgi

"Your boss sleep with you last night?!" – Giselle

"Of course not, there is something happening on the way to her house so we can't reach her place. She sleepover at my place" – Seulgi

"I see. I thought you had something with your boss. She look so clingy and possessive yesterday *Giselle giggle*" – Giselle

"Hey, don't talk nonsense. I'll cut your tongue later" – Seulgi

"Such a scary older sister" – Giselle

"You deserve it. Got to go now, text me what time we'll meet" – Seulgi

"Okay unnie, don't forget to tag along your boss" – Giselle

"Sure, bye Giselle" – Seulgi

Seulgi put her phone on the table and rubbed her temple "Aigoo, such a nonsense best friend" she mumble

"Ehem" someone clear throat behind Seulgi and that no other than Irene

"Good morning, have a seat" Seulgi said

"Good morning. Why do you wake up so early?" Irene asked

"It's not early. I woke up at 7 as usual. You're late I think" they chuckled

"I think so"

"What do you want to drink? Tea, coffee or milk?"

"Milk sound good"

"Alright" Seulgi goes to the kitchen to make a drink for Irene. Few minutes later, she comes back with a glass of milk

"Irene, we'll go to a food fair at the city square today. Want to join us?"

"Day or night?"

"I'm not sure. Giselle only said we'll go today but not telling the time yet. She will text me if they already plan when we go"

Irene silent for a while "Okay, I'll go but you need to drive me home. I need to change my clothes"

After Seulgi washes up, they go to Irene's house. Irene invites Seulgi to enter since she will take a while to shower

"Irene, do you also stay alone?" Seulgi asked when she noticed no one inside the house

"Yup, my family at New York but my sister will come here next month"

"I see. How did you manage to stay without going out since you're alone? I'll go crazy if I don't have anything to do"

"I used to it, maybe" Irene give Seulgi a can of soda and they sipped their drink

"You should go out more after this"

"With condition, you must be my private secretary not only a secretary at office" Irene smiling bright while looking at Seulgi "You know what I mean, right"

Seulgi shrugs "Sure, not a big deal. Just tell me where you want to go, I’ll bring you even if you want to go to the other side of the world, I’ll make it true. If my friends call me to hangouts, you must come along"

"Sure thing" they make pinky promise

"Good morning, boss" Seulgi greet happily when she saw her boss come

"Morning, come to my office"

"Alright" she follows her boss to enter

"My sister will arrive at the airport at 5 PM today. Can you pick her up on my behalf? I have meeting this evening"

"Don't I need to go with you for the meeting?"

"It's okay, I'll go with Eunbi. You go to airport to pick her up and make sure don't make her wait or she'll complaint"

"Noted boss" Seulgi leaves the office and continues doing her work

That evening, Seulgi goes to the airport to pick up Irene's sister and she's dragging Giselle along with her. They waiting around 50 minutes since they come early as Irene command

"Ayy, what took the flight so long?" Giselle whine as she getting bored on her seat

"They will touch down on 10 minutes more based on the schedule" Seulgi said while looking at landing schedule on screen

"Why do we come so early?" Giselle pout

"Because the younger Bae is a bit more complicated than her sister. She's quite unfriendly with strangers so just sit silently and behave well later, understand until here?"

"Yes" Giselle answer lazily

15 minutes later, the passenger of the flight from New York starts to come out of the arriving hall. Seulgi quickly approach the younger Bae when she noticed the girl pushing her cart out

"Karina!" she waving her hand and Karina push her cart towards her

"Hello unnie, it's been a while" Karina hugged Seulgi

"Hello, you haven't visit us for long time"

"I'm quite busy with work unnie that why I can't come often"

"It's okay"

"How was my sister?"

"She's fine. She on meeting right now so she sends me to pick you up"

"I see" Karina nods. Suddenly she noticed someone behind Seulgi "Unnie, whose kid is with you?"

Seulgi turned around and she flinched as she saw Giselle shoot a glare at her "Karina, this is not a kid. She is short and has a baby face. That's why she looks like a kid. She's the same age as you. Her name is Jung Giselle" Seulgi rest her arm on Giselle shoulder

"Oh hi, I'm Katarina Bae" Karina smile

Giselle does not respond and Seulgi nudges her side "Gi!"

Giselle sighs "I'm Jung Giselle" the short girl said. She's sulking when Karina said that she's kid and Seulgi said she's short

"Sorry Karina, she just is not good with someone who she knew recently" Seulgi pats Giselle's head and the sulking girl puffs her cheek. Karina chuckled at Giselle cuteness

"It's okay, unnie. I don't mind"

"Let go" Seulgi said. They walk to her car. Karina pushed her cart while Seulgi dragging Giselle along the way to the car park

It takes 1 hour to drive to Irene house from the airport. Giselle sleeping at the back while Seulgi and Karina talking with each other

"Unnie, did she always sulk if she was ignored?" Karina looked at Giselle over her shoulder

"Ayy, she's sensitive when people call her short or say she's a kid even though she’s the youngest”

"Aigoo, my bad for saying she's kid"

"Don't mind her, she'll be okay when she wakes up later. Giselle only need to shut down for a while to make her mood better" Seulgi shook her head

"We're arrive" Seulgi announces and they get out of the car. Irene also just arrive at her house at the same time

"Unnie!" Karina runs to her sister and they hugged tightly

"My baby sister grown up now" Irene ruffled Karina hair and kissed her cheek

"Well, beautiful and ier than you" Karina said arrogantly

Seulgi comes with Karina suitcases "Oh unnie, sorry for troubling you" Karina apologize when she saw Seulgi dragging three big suitcases

"It's okay, Karina"

"Eh, where is Giselle?" Karina asked as she noticed the sulking girl not around

"Omo!" Seulgi gasped and covered . She quickly go to her car and open the back door

"Giselle also came with her?" Irene asked

"Yes unnie" Karina said and they join Seulgi who is struggling waking Giselle

"Gi, wake up" Seulgi patted Giselle cheek

"5 minutes, mommy" Giselle mumble

"Hey, I'm not your mom!" Seulgi groans. She hate waking the younger girl because Giselle have so much annoying antics
