Irene looked at her own reflection at the mirror of her dressing table. To be exact, she has been staring at the gold ring that hangs on her necklace since 3 years back then. It is a wedding ring that Seulgi returns to her on his last days as her husband. Today marked the 3rd years of her divorce with Seulgi. Last time she saw him was at the court for their trial. After that, they never meet again or even cross paths. Seulgi is still in Korea but magically they never see each other. She know Seulgi still contact with Yeri but her sister don’t say a lot about him

In these 3 years, she tried to date but it never ended well. First time she dated was after a few months of her divorce but their relationship only lasted for 5 months because she didn't have feelings for him. Second time she dated a man who was only crazy for her money. After finding out his evil plan, she breaks up with him. Currently she is dating her boyfriend who is a jerk. He only treats her nicely when he wants something from her. That guy is also abusive when he is drunk. He used to hit her a few times but stupidly she forgave him when he begged her. Yeri and Solar don’t like that guy for her but she’s not listen to them

She startled when a pair of arms sneaked around her waist. She can smell a familiar masculine cologne scent that she like for past few months

“Baby”

“Done shower?” Irene caressed her boyfriend cheek

“Yes” he kissed her neck and leaving hickey on her collarbone “Now I want you” he turned her around then carry her to the bed

If anyone asks her whether she loves her boyfriend or not, Irene will say no. They dated for a few months now but she never developed romantic feelings for him. To her, he just filled her loneliness. That guy also seems like doesn’t care about feelings. He only enjoys her body. They never talked about relationships. For some reason, Irene is still thinking about her ex-husband. Sometimes she missed his presence. She used to deny it but Seulgi kept lingering in her mind. She don’t want to admit it but her heart say otherwise

“Rene, I saw the Minho silhouette in your Instagram story yesterday. Is he sleepover at your place?” Solar initiates their conversation. Now they sit at executive lounge after have meeting

“Yes, he is at my house yesterday”

“Oh, it’s rare that he sleeps at your place. Usually he just visit for a while”

“He just arrived from overseas so he wants to spend time. He missed me, he said. I just let him do what he want since I have nothing to do” Irene shrugs

Solar chuckled while looking at Irene “Something happened last night?” she press something that hidden by Irene collar

“Is it obvious?” Irene fixed her shirt collar, hiding the hickey

“If you see closely, it’s very clear” said Solar “How many times you do that with him? Are you two doing it every time you meet?” she squint her eyes while lean closer to Irene

Irene flick Solar forehead and glare at her “Yah, I’m not a addict. We only do it 2 times”

“That’s good then”

“But he is machine. He never gets tired” Irene pulls Solar closer to her “You know, yesterday he kept me in the room the entire day. Thankfully I can walk today”

Solar looking at Irene lazily “I thought you’re period that’s why you walk weirdly. You should not forget to consume birth control pills, right?”

“Of course, I don’t want to have child with him” Irene rolled her eyes “I also not allow him to shoot inside”

“That’s good. I don’t want you to marry that abusive Choi Minho. He does not suit you at all. I don’t know why you accept him. There are a lot of men who are better than him and sincerely want you. If you ask me, I will never bless your relationship with him” Solar groaning

Irene laughing hearing her friend grunt “I don’t love him though. I know he seeing someone else”

“Really?” Solar gasped

“Yes, that woman called when we in the middle of and we stopped after that. I am not in the mood to continue. I force him to be honest. He said he meet that woman recently”

“What about you and him?”

“We ended it last night. I don’t want to share even though I don’t love him. He don’t have choice but agree to break up”

“Thank god” Solar released a soft breath “Rene, can I ask something?”

“What is it?”

“Do you still think about Seulgi?”

Irene pressed her lips together then nods softly “I do. Seriously, I can’t get rid of him from my mind”

“Hmm, it’s okay. Maybe it's because you used to be his wife. In term of move on, I don’t know if I can call it fail to move on because you never love him”

“I also don’t understand myself. I accept it when someone wants to date me but then I feel like I’m cheating. What’s wrong with me actually? Shall I meet a psychiatrist?” Irene pouting

“Yah, you’re not a psycho. It’s normal”

“Seulgi make me feeling like a psycho”

“This is my suggestion. For meantime, please don’t date anyone. Make sure you are really serious for another relationship before dating. If you date someone but still think of Seulgi, you will just hurt your boyfriend. Learn from past mistakes. We’re not getting young, Rene. There is no time to play around like high school students who keep changing partners every now and then. Both of us are in our 30s now so please think maturely. Don’t hurt another heart and your heart too”

Irene absorbed what Solar just said to her. Indirectly Solar opens her mind and makes her realize her mistake. She doesn't want to rush anymore this time. She will be careful before open her heart again

“Thank you for your advice. You never tired giving me support even I’m often stubborn” Irene smiling warmly

“You’re my best friend. I want the best for you. I am still disappointed from the last failed marriage of yours but I never hoped for karma to hit you back. You know…I also hope that you and Seulgi will be back again as married couple”

“Ayy, I don’t think Seulgi wants to live with me again. I still remember his words on the last day he stepped foot into my house. Besides, I think he already have someone who deserve him”

“How do you know?”

“My hunch say so”

Solar squeeze Irene shoulder “No matter how long it takes, if you two are meant together…you will be back to each other's arms. It might be hard…it might be impossible but believe me, you will find a way to be with a man that made for you”

Irene silent while staring at her friend “Okay”

“Let’s go back to the office. It almost time to go home”

“Yeah, right”

“Hey, let’s eat dinner together. Byul is travelling today so I’m alone. Why don’t we eat before we go home?”

“Good idea. I also not in mood to cook”

“Let’s go!” Solar said energetically

Irene, Yeri and Solar hangouts on weekends. They go shopping at the mall. Three of them carried shopping bags on their hands. After walking around the mall and bought everything they wanted, someone stomach growling and that is no other than Irene

“I’m hungry” she whine

“Let’s get some food. I’m hungry too. I just eat sandwich for breakfast earlier” Solar chirped

“No wonder we’re hungry, it almost lunch time” said Yeri after checking her phone

“Where is a good place to eat?”

“Is there any western food restaurant around here?”

Yeri snapped her fingers “I know the best western food place around here!”

“Where?” the older girls looking at Yeri excitedly

“BnN Bistro near this mall. They served the best European and Asian cuisine”

“Wow, it sounds exciting. Let’s go” Irene said

They leave the mall then walk to the bistro after leaving their shopping bags in the car. The bistro just right beside the mall so they decide to walk

“European vibe are all around here” Solar said soon as they step inside the bistro
