Irene Bae, also known as Secretary Bae, is a secretary for Vice Chairman of The Kang Group, Kang Seulgi. She worked with him for seven years now and she literally knows him more than his family does. She arranged everything for him including his outfit that he wears to the office every day. Besides, she is also used to his mood change and she handles his mood swings with patience. Mr. Kang always reminds her that she shouldn't fall for him because their relationship is all about business and profession. Since she works with Kang Seulgi, she never has time for herself and never dating. All she does is work for the vice chairman and come running whenever he calls her.

"Mr. Kang, today you have a meeting with General Manager Kim Jisoo and President Kang Aeri at 9 AM. Then you have lunch with Ms. Park Jihyo to discuss your investment at Twice Entertainment" Irene read the daily schedule for Seulgi as usual. Seulgi listen attentively

"That's all for today?" he asked

Irene scrolling her tablet "Yes sir, if there is new appointment or meeting, I'll inform you again"

"Okay" Seulgi sigh "Such a hectic day"

"Do you need me to reschedule the meeting? If you're tired, I can postpone your lunch with Ms. Park"

"It's okay, I will go to that lunch but cancel my entire schedule for tomorrow until Friday except the meeting in this building"

"Noted sir" Irene nods her head

"Good"

"I'll go to my table if there are no more things you need"

"Okay, you may go" Irene leaved the office and go to her table that located in front of vice chairman office

Seulgi and his younger brother, Kang Aeri, have dinner at their parent’s house on weekends. Their elder just returned from a two month business trip. They have dinner while talking about random topics. Suddenly Mrs. Kang bring up the topic about her son's personal life

"Boys, eomma waiting for this since forever but when will both of you introduce your girlfriend to me and appa?" Mrs. Kang asked with wide smile while looking at her sons

Seulgi and his younger brother looking at each other, Aeri shrug his shoulder as response

"Aigoo, don't tell me both of you don't have girlfriend" Mr. Kang said

"No appa, I have a girlfriend already but..." Aeri turn his head to his brother "Hyung don't have"

"Really?"

"Yes" both boys said

"Who is that lucky girl, Aeri?" Mrs. Kang asked excitedly

"She is Karina Yoo. Daughter of Kwangya Corporation’s owner" Aeri said proudly

"Aigoooo, she must be pretty"

"Yes eomma" Aeri said shyly

"Hm, I know her father. I met him few times at certain functions" said Mr. Kang

"She also told me that her father know both of you" say Aeri

"She works at their company?" ask Mrs. Kang

"Yes, she is manager of one of the departments"

"Okay" Mr. Kang and his wife nodded

"Seul, how about you?" Mrs. Kang looking at her older son

"Eomma, I still single" Seulgi grin innocently

"Why?" Mrs. Kang pout

"You know my schedule is hectic everyday so there is no time for a couple. We can let Aeri marry first eomma"

Aeri nudged Seulgi’s elbow "Hyung, you should settle down before me. Karina want to pursue her study so I don’t want to rush her"

"She can study after get married" said Seulgi

"No, I don't want to burden her with wife responsibility before she achieve her dream"

"Seul, you should meet someone by now. You're almost 30 but single. Spare time for your personal life and happiness. At least you have someone to take care of you" said Mr. Kang

Mrs. Kang agrees with her husband "Your appa is right, I want you to have someone who can take care of your daily needs. You do not stay with us anymore, that makes me worry about you every day."

Seulgi sighs as he hear what his parents said "I'll think about it"

Their parents smile "Okay, I look forward to hear good news from you" Mrs. Kang said

"Okay eomma"

Seulgi and Aeri sit beside the pool since it still early to go to bed

"What do you think about appa and eomma requests?" Seulgi ask his brother

"About the marriage topic?" Aeri look at Seulgi

"Yup"

"I think you need to find someone soon. Not rushing but choose the right person for you who can handle your antics" they giggle since both have weird antics that not everyone can deal with

"It's not easy to find a woman for someone like me. A man who has limited time at home, busy working, business trips often and much more. Do you think my future wife can bear it for a long time?" Seulgi kicking the water with his feet

Aeri think for a while "In that case you should find someone who never complain with that matter"

"Do you think that woman exists?"

"Yes, she is" Aeri nod

Seulgi rolled his eyes "Nonsense" he punch Aeri shoulder lightly

"You want me to say her name?" Aeri smirk

"Go ahead"

"Secretary Bae" Aeri said confidently

"Why my secretary?" Seulgi confused

His brother burst out laughing "Because she's the only one who can deal with your time and also needs your antics. You said she never complains when you ask her to go with you to events, meetings, trips or be your representative. She is always there for you whenever you need her. You also said that she check you up every day to make sure everything go smoothly for you from head to toe and from morning until night" Aeri stated his reason

Seulgi think about what Aeri just said "Hmm, overall is true but our relationship is all about work. We can't go more than that""

"Who said that?"

"Me" I told her on the first day she worked with me. Mine and her relationship only about business”

"It doesn't matter. You can change it anytime. Even promises mean to be broken. Not to mention the nonsense rule that you made. Trust me, she's perfect for you. In my opinion, no one capable to do what she can do for you" Aeri smile widely

Seulgi rubbing her temple "It's not easy. What if she doesn't like me?"

Aeri shakes his head "Then you should make her like you and love you. I also fought a lot for my girlfriend and finally she fell for me. Every journey have its own challenge and love is no exception”

"I don't know what to do. You know I never dating"

"Use your boldness and confidence. I also never have girlfriend before and Karina is my first love but I try my best to get her"

"Aigoo" Seulgi sighs

Aeri wrapped his arm around Seulgi’s shoulder "I know you can. Date her before you lose her. We promised to make appa and eomma happy in every aspect so this is part of it. Eomma must badly want to have a daughter-in-law because she doesn't have a daughter, so by introducing our girlfriend to her will make her the happiest mother. I can see how excited she is earlier when I told her that I have a girlfriend. I can’t wait to introduce Karina to her. She will be happier when she have two daughter-in-law”

Seulgi looked at his brother and smile "Sometimes I think that I'm younger than you"

"Why?"

"Because you always give me advice whenever I need moral support. I think you should be my advisor than a president" they laugh at Seulgi statement

"No, I don't want to give you advice about work unless I'm needed to do it. You're better than me at working. I always look up at you in my career. I can be lean my ears and my shoulder for you”

"I'm proud of you too" both of them bump fist and continue talking about life more to Aeri talk about his relationship with his girlfriend while Seulgi listen to him happily

In his office, Seulgi keeps thinking about his brother's suggestion about taking his secretary as his wife. Irene is perfect in every way. She is really capable of doing every task that is given to her but he never fell for her because he just saw Irene as his secretary. Seulgi spacing out since God know when and he didn't realize his secretary enter his office

"Mr. Kang" Irene waving her hand in front of frozen Seulgi

Seulgi startled "Y-yes Secretary Bae"

"Are you okay?"

"I'm good"

"You're spacing out for a while now. Tell me if something is wrong"

"Don't worry, I'm okay" Seulgi assure his secretary with short smile

Irene taking a seat in front of Seulgi "I'm sure there is something bothering your mind. I know you never act weird if you don't have a problem. You can’t lie to me"

Seulgi sighs "Shall I tell you?"

Irene shrugged her shoulders "It's up to you. I’ll listen if you want to talk”

"My mom ask me to get married" Seulgi said while staring at Irene

However Irene laughing at what she just heard "So, that is the reason you looked weird today?" Seulgi nodded his head "Aigoo, why is it bothering you?" she laugh again

"Yahoo, don't laugh!" Seulgi glare at Irene

"Alright sir, I'll stop. Now voice out what inside your mind"

"She wants me to find a wife. I'm in the age that supposed to have my own family already"

"So? Have you found her already?"

"That is the problem. My brother suggest someone for me but I...can't date her"

"Why can't you date her? She's taken?"

"I don't know"

"Aigoooo, so sad of you. By the way, do you agree with President Kang's suggestion?" Irene amused by Seulgi antics but she suppress her laughter

Seulgi massage his temple "I still think about it"

"Okay" Irene nods her head "As someone who never dating, I advised you to make a move or else you'll lost her"

Seulgi silent for few seconds "Okay, I'll try"

"Good luck vice chairman. I hope you'll get married quickly" Irene said cheerfully

"Are you tired taking care of me already?" Seulgi joking

"No, I never tired because that is my job but your future wife maybe can do better than me" Irene grin innocently

"Alright, we're out of working topics already" Seulgi said as he took the file that Irene brought earlier

"True" Irene cackle

After finish talk about work, Irene leave Seulgi office while the vice chairman heaves heavy sigh

"Aigoo Ms. Bae, why do you suggest I make a quick move? I think you'll faint if you know that’s you that we talked about" Seulgi rubbing his temple

Irene watches TV in the living room while having a snack. Suddenly her phone vibrated. She check the text, it was from her boss

From: Vice Chairman Kang

Ms. Bae, I'm in front of your house

Irene quickly went to the window and she saw Seulgi leaning at his car in front of her house. She goes out to meet Seulgi. She wondered why her boss suddenly came to her house. She remember there is no unfinished business before she leave him earlier

"Hi" Seulgi greet with wide smile plastered on his face

Irene bowed to her boss "Hi, what brought you here, sir?"

"I have something to talk to you"

"Why don't we talk tomorrow at the office? Is it urgent? Do we need to travel early in the morning for important meetings?"

Seulgi shake his head "This is not about work"

Irene suddenly curious "What is it about?"

Seulgi shoved his hands into his jeans pocket "Do you remember that I talked about my mom's request and you asked me to move quickly?"

Irene was relieved and chuckled, "Yeah, do you need more advice from me?"

"No but I want to tell that girl now"

"Then go to her, why come here? You want me to do that on your behalf? I’ll find proper words to propose her for you"

Seulgi rolled his eyes. Irene is really into her job as his secretary that she think every topic they talk about will related to work "Because she's here" he said nervously

"Here? In my neighborhood? We can go now. Let me change my clothes first. It not nice if we go to your future wife with me wearing pajama" Irene eyes widened and excited at the same time

Seulgi move one step closer to Irene and looking into her eyes "That girl is you” he paused for few seconds “Let's get married" he said bluntly

"M-me?" Irene pointed at herself. She is speechless

"Yes, you" Seulgi wiggle his eyebrows
