“I don’t care if he likes it or not. This is my life. He can’t control me!” Wendy said furiously to her best friend who drive calmly to their office

“Wen, he doesn't mean to control you. He just cares about you. Both of you have been friends since toddler so of course he doesn't want something bad to happen to you. He want the best for you” Irene said carefully as she deal with upset Wendy beside her

“No unnie, whatever it is I will do anything I want to do. He doesn't have rights on me. I will not cut my relationship with my boyfriend”

Irene shrugs “Okay, whatever” she don’t want to interrupt too much in someone else private life so she will just sit back and relax

Both of them just silent for the whole ride, Wendy leaned her head at the window while Irene driving while humming random songs that played at the radio

“Hi Seul, good morning!” Wendy greet her best friend happily and she join him for breakfast at the canteen in their company building

“Hi babe, morning. You looked cheerful today” Seulgi chuckled at the bubbly girl antic

“Aren’t I always this cheerful?”

Seulgi tapping his chin “Emmm, you’re cheerful as usual but today a bit weird”

“Really?” Wendy frown

“Yupp”

“I just feel good today” Wendy said happily with goofy grin

Seulgi shrugged his shoulders “You order food already?”

“Oh God, not yet” Wendy looked at her watch “Aigoo, I have a meeting after this. How can I forget?”

“Make your order quickly” Seulgi shops Wendy to make order at the counter and the girl run quickly

“I can’t believe that I befriend with this weirdo” Seulgi chuckled and shook his head

Seulgi enter their office and greeted by his friend who also senior staff in their office

“Morning Seulgi”

“Joohyun noona, good morning” Seulgi said before enter his office

Irene quickly follows him in “How is it today?” she asked

“What?”

“You and Wendy”

Seulgi showed a faint smile “As usual, nothing weird happened. You know she can hide it well”

Irene sighs “Hm, I also don’t know what to do, Seulgi. I advised her yesterday when we came back from outstation but it only made her upset. I thought she won’t see you today that’s why I asked”

“She acts like nothing happened, noona. She still bubbly as usual but she’s kind of happy today”

“Maybe it have something to do with that man”

“Maybe”

“Where is she?”

“She go direct to meeting room because she have meeting early this morning”

“I see” Irene nodded. “I’ll go out now. Don’t stress yourself because of this problem. Everything will be okay”

“Thanks noona. I appreciate your effort to help me to talk to Wendy even though we both know it’ll not working”

“No problem” Irene leave to her office after that

Seulgi sigh heavily “Everything will be okay” he said to himself

Seulgi saw Wendy walking at the hallway, he quickly run to her

“Hey babe” he wrapped his arm around Wendy’s shoulder but she instantly release herself from him

“Oh…hi Seul” Wendy said awkwardly. Suddenly she feel uncomfortable having skinship with Seulgi even though they used to do it to each other before

“We’re hanging out this weekend, are you in?” Seulgi said after remove his arm from Wendy shoulder

Wendy scratch her nape “I guess I can’t join this time, sorry”

Seulgi sighs “You can’t make it again?”

“Sorry Seulgi, I have something to do this weekend”

Seulgi nodded “It’s fine. We can go out next time time”

“Thanks for understand” Wendy said happily

“No problem, babe” Seulgi smiled. After a few seconds of silence, Seulgi talks again “Babe, why do you call me by my name now? Don’t you called me ‘babe’ before?”

Wendy pretends that she doesn't hear Seulgi question “Pardon?”

“I ask, why do you call me by my name now? Usually we call each other with pet name”

Wendy shrugged “I just feel like calling you with your name” suddenly her phone ringing “Sorry Seulgi, I have to take this call” she said and leave to her cubicle

“You never behave like this, Wannie” Seulgi watching his best friend walk away

“Hyung, Wendy noona is not coming today?” Jisoo asking when he noticed Wendy is not coming with Seulgi

“She said she have something to do today” Seulgi said lazily

“I thought you don’t tell her about our gathering” said Irene

“I told her a few days ago but she said she is busy today. I not forcing her to come”

Jennie interrupts the conversation “Few days ago, I saw Wen unnie walk with a man at the mall. They looked so closed like a couple”

“That is her boyfriend” Irene said

“Wendy has a boyfriend now? Seriously?” Solar shocked “I thought she have something with Seulgi”

“We’re just close friend” said Seulgi

“It’s friendzone, to be exact” Jisoo joking then Jennie glare at him for cracking joke at wrong time

“Seulgi oppa doesn't like him, right?” Yeri said and everyone looked at her

“Yes, I don’t like him. I know him well that’s why I not agree with their relationship” Seulgi admit

“Wendy noona knows about this?” Joy asked

“She knows but she doesn't care. Joohyun noona also gave her advice but she don’t listen”

Moonbyul who was just silent from the beginning, joined their talk “Is he that bad?”

Seulgi tells them everything he knows about Wendy’s boyfriend and the reason why he really doesn't like that guy. Everyone nodded as they understand what make Seulgi and Irene against Wendy’s relationship

“I guess we start to dislike him already” Moonbyul said and their friends agree with him

One morning, Seulgi arrived at their office building. When he entered the lobby, his phone vibrated and he stopped for a while to check the text. When he turned around he saw a scene that he never wished to see. Wendy come from her boyfriend’s car then he kissed her forehead

“” Seulgi cursed silently and curled his hand. His heart shattered as he witness the scene then he quickly go to the elevator to avoid seeing more unpleasant scene

Seulgi sit at his office with sad feeling when Wendy enter his room

“Morning Seulgi” she join Seulgi on the couch

“Morning” Seulgi answer nonchalantly

Wendy is aware of Seulgi's current mood “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine”

“But you looked problematic” Wendy hand on Seulgi arm

“Let me alone, Seungwan” Seulgi remove Wendy’s hand from his arm

Wendy sighs “Okay” then she leave the office

“You really are not aware” Seulgi sadly said. Then he text someone on his phone

Few minutes later, Irene come in and she sit beside Seulgi on the couch

Seeing his friend come, Seulgi quickly hugging her and Irene just patting Seulgi back to comfort him

“If you feel like crying, let it out. My shoulder is open for you to cry on” Irene said softly

“I saw both of them this morning” Seulgi mumbled while still resting his head on Irene’s shoulder. He knows Irene is having a hard time due to her petite figure but he needs comfort right now. He promised to make it up to her. He will gladly lend his shoulder for her when she need him

“I know, I saw them too when I’m on my way from the parking lot. Is that why your mood dropped today?”

“Yes”

“Can I ask you something?”

“Sure”

“Do you like her romantically?” Irene looking at Seulgi face

It take long for Seulgi to answer the question “Yes, I do”

“Since when?”

“Since high school, to be honest she’s my first love but I never have chance to confess my feeling because she always said that I’m a brother to her”

“Do you ever try to tell her that you have feelings for her?”

“I tried once but she rejected me. She said we’re practically siblings. That's why she was mad when I said I don’t like that guy. She thought I against their relationship because of my feeling to her”

“Poor thing” Irene feel sorry to Seulgi

“Thanks for always listening to my complaint” Seulgi looked at Irene and smile

“No problem. You’re my friend so it’s my responsibility to lend my ear for you but there’s something I want to tell you”

“What is it?”

“If she’s not for you, stop chasing her. Maybe someone who made for you is right in front of you without you realize” Irene pat Seulgi shoulder

“Thanks for advice” Seulgi said

“Alright, I’ll leave to my office. If you need something, just call me or go to my office”

“Okay noona” Seulgi watching Irene leave his room “Why Wendy can’t be a little caring like you did, noona?”

Without Seulgi or Irene knowing, someone watched their interaction through the door gap because Irene did not close the door properly earlier. That person left after seeing the scene and don’t want to see what happen next

Wendy goes to the rooftop after she accidentally sees Seulgi and Irene hugging each other in Seulgi’s office. She suddenly felt weird after seeing them together. She never felt something like this before. She knows Seulgi loves her more than friends but she can’t accept Seulgi as her boyfriend. She doesn't have a special feeling for Seulgi. It has been a few months since she dated her boyfriend but Seulgi still can’t accept their relationship. She doesn't understand why Seulgi is against their relationship. Seulgi also used to tell her that her boyfriend is not a good person but she doesn’t care because she never sees something wrong with her boyfriend.

When Wendy in her deep thinking, her phone ringing and it was call from Moonbyul

“Hello” – Wendy

“Hi Seungwan, how are you?” – Moonbyul

“I’m fine, oppa. How about you?” – Wendy

“I’m good” – Moonbyul

“You call me at time like this, I guess you have something urgent to say” – Wendy

“Yeah, I have something to tell you” – Moonbyul

“Okay, what is it?” – Wendy

“This weekend our friends will be gathering at my house since it’s been a while since we gathered. I hope you come. I invite you personally because if I ask Seulgi to pass the message, you won’t come. You know you haven’t hangout with us these day” – Moonbyul

“Sure, I’ll come” – Wendy

“Alright, see you this weekend” - Moonbyul

“Okay oppa, bye” – Wendy

After talking to Moonbyul, Wendy goes back to the office since she needs to attend the meeting. Deep inside she still feel hurt as the scene still played in her mind

When she go back to their department, Wendy see Irene and Seulgi talked happily at discussion corner then they noticed her presence

“Hey Seungwan, where are you from?” Irene asking Wendy

“I just return from meeting with Mr. Lee in their department”

“I see, it such a long meeting”

“True, there are so many things to talk about”

“Wen, did Moonbyul hyung invite you to his house this weekend?” Seulgi asked

“Yes, she called me earlier and I’ll come”

“Great, it’s been a while since we hangouts together” Irene chirped

Seulgi checked his watch “It’s lunch time already, let’s eat together” he said

“Sure” Irene agree

Wendy scratched her nape “Sorry guys, I can’t join both of you” she awkwardly smile

Seulgi and Irene looking at each other “It’s okay, we’ll go now” Seulgi disappointed

“Okay” Wendy goes to her cubicle while Irene and Seulgi go to the elevator

When they have their lunch, Irene notices that Seulgi is just silent and barely eating his food. “Are you okay?”

Seulgi startled “Yes?”

Irene sighs “I asked, are you okay?”

“I’m good, why?”

“You seem like not interested in your food. Is it because of her?”

Seulgi wiped his lips with tissue “I don’t know, noona. Sometimes I think I’m fine with her treatment but I guess I’m wrong. I never get rejected and abandoned since I became her friend. It feels so weird when it happens. It’s hurt, noona” Seulgi frowned

‘It’s hurt me too seeing you like this Seulgi’ Irene softly sighed

“Why don't you just forget her and move on? I mean start new life like you used to do before you meet her” Irene suggest

“It’s hard, noona. I can’t forget her easily”

“Aigoooo” Irene rubbed her temple “I don’t know what to do anymore. Let’s eat before I upset”

“Sorry” Seulgi pout

“It’s okay. Quit pouting, I don’t like that face of yours” Irene joking then they continue

Everyone goes to Moonbyul’s house and of course Wendy also comes along. Seulgi is a little but clingy with Irene and Wendy practically doesn't like seeing that scene. It is the first time Seulgi distances himself from her when they go out. Usually Seulgi will tailing behind her most of the time

“Both of you, why don't we just date? You two will look good together” Joy said when she noticed that Irene and Seulgi treat each other like dating couple

“Don’t talk nonsense, we’re just friend” Seulgi said

“But you two looked romantic. You even wipe Irene unnie lips when sauce smudges there, right guys?”

“Yes!” their friends cheer except Wendy

“I’m not his ideal type so don’t ask him to date me” Irene said

“Who care about ideal type if you two can make a great visual couple” Solar commented

“Let God do his work. If we’re made for each other, we’ll together” Irene said

Then they change topics and enjoy the food that Moonbyul and Solar made for them
