“Seungwan-ah, my shoulder hurt~”

Kang Seulgi bawling while squeezing her friend arm. Both of them are inside the ambulance on the way to hospital. Seulgi shoulder injured badly when they are playing soccer and it need to treat at the hospital

“Ayy Kang Seulgi, can you not cry like a kid? You’re too old to bawl like that” Wendy embarrassed. A female medical assistant quietly cackle seeing Seulgi childish antic that not match with her cool image

“If this pain can be transfer, I will give it to you so you know how it feels like” Seulgi hit Wendy arms

“You’re embarrassing” Wendy is rolling her eyes “Done crying! We’re arrived at hospital now”

Seulgi was rushed to emergency department while Wendy waiting for her outside. After few minutes, a female doctor comes to check Seulgi. She is very beautiful even Seulgi haven’t seen her face yet because she is wearing face mask. Hey big eyes is captivating. Seulgi already imagine how pretty she can be if she take off her mask

“Earth of Ms. Kang!” the nurse that wearing a nametag Kim Yerim waving her hand in front of Seulgi. The poor bear zoning out since god know when

“Yes…sorry miss, I’m zoning out” Seulgi blushing in embarrassment

“It okay” said the nurse “May I know what happen to you that your shoulder injured really bad?”

“I play soccer with me friends then accident happen and I end up injured my shoulder”

“Okay, Dr. Bae is still examining your injury” Seulgi give nods as respond

Dr. Bae comes to Seulgi “Ms. Kang?”

“Yes doctor” Seulgi suddenly polite

“I just checked your injury and it really bad. Ms. Kim will bring you to x-ray department then come back with the result” said Dr. Bae

“Okay doctor”

Nurse Kim Yerim and one of the attendants bring Seulgi to x-ray department. After done with examination and got the result, they return to Dr. Bae office

Dr. Bae is examining the result before she explains to Seulgi “Ms. Kang, you have joint dislocation in your shoulder. Do you ever experience the same pain before?”

“No”

The doctor nods her head “Nearby ligaments have been damaged due to dislocated joint so we need to perform surgery to repair the injuries ASAP. Now I will do initial treatment so let’s move to the bed”

“Okay doctor” Seulgi carefully sit on the bed

“Do you have any family member come here with you?”

“My friend is waiting outside. Her name in Wendy Son”

“Alright” Dr. Bae talked with her nurse then the younger girl exit the room while the doctor proceed with the treatment

After surgery, Seulgi was transferred to the ward. Dr. Bae checking Seulgi condition but distracted by sound of door opened. She turn around and saw Wendy come inside followed by a taller girl

“Good afternoon Dr. Bae”

“Good afternoon Ms. Son and …”

“Park Sooyoung or Joy”

“Okay Ms. Park” Dr. Bae smile to both girls “I am Dr. Bae Joohyun or you can call me Dr. Irene. I am in charge of your friend”

“How is she now Dr. Bae?” Joy asking

“Her condition is stable and will wake up in few hours”

“Doctor, how long her recovery will take?” Wendy questioning

“It will take 12 – 16 weeks to recover”

“Is that mean she also need to stay at hospital until she fully recover?”

“No, she can go home after a week”

“Okay”

Dr. Bae speaks again “Is she an athlete?”

“No, she is music producer. Soccer is just her hobby”

“I thought she is athlete. She has to take a break from sports for long time because the dislocation may recur again. Dislocated shoulder is one of the hardest injuries to recover so please prevent her from doing activities that can bring the injury back”

“Okay doctor, we will be stricter on her after this” Wendy said determinedly

“She is a bit stubborn and adventurous. It’s hard to control this kid because she is very active” Joy complain

Dr. Bae giggle as she take a glance at Seulgi “I understand, I will talk to her when she wake up later”

“Dr. Bae, if she is still stubborn please don’t hesitate to anaesthetize her until she recover. We give you privilege to immobilize her” Joy said

Irene laughing lightly “She will think I try to kill her or something”

Wendy and Joy sighs “She won’t think like that, believe us. She is 26 years old but her mind is still childish. It’s hard to take care of her. We hope you can tames her”

“I will try my best to slow talk with her”

“Thanks doctor”

“I have to go now to check other patients. If she wakes up, you can call Ms. Kim. She is nurse in-charge of Ms. Kang”

“Okay doctor” they exchange bow then Irene leave the room

Wendy and Joy sit on the chair “Dr. Bae is friendly. I thought she is kind of arrogant or something, you know she look cold” said Joy

“Yea, hope she could tames this hard-headed bear” Wendy said

Seulgi wake up after few hours. She blink few times before realize that she is inside the hospital. Few minutes later, she heard the door open and close. That is nurse Kim Yerim who coming to check Seulgi

“Ms. Kang, you’re awake?” Yerim asked softly

“Yes, I just wake up”

“Okay, do you feel hurt somewhere especially on your shoulder?”

“No for now”

“Okay then” after checking Seulgi condition, Yerim recording data on the file

“Ms. Kim?” Seulgi looking at her nurse

“Yes?”

“I am hungry. Can you get something for me to eat?” Seulgi showing her puppy eyes

Yerim chuckle “Sure thing, do you want rice?”

“Yeah, rice will be good. I haven’t eat something since breakfast”

“Alright, I will buy rice for you”

“Pay with your money first, when my friend come I will ask her to pay back to you”

“No need, it is my treat”

“Oh, thanks then” Seulgi grin

Few minutes after Yerim leaving, Wendy and Joy arrive. Both of them bring Seulgi necessities and their own stuff too because they will accompany Seulgi at hospital

“Hello guys” Seulgi waving with her right hand

“Hey, don’t move a lot” said Wendy

“This hand is not injured so nothing to worry about”

Joy join them and sit on the chair beside Wendy “So…how our charming bumbblebear feel right now?”

Seulgi smirk “Well…bumbblebear is broken now”

“Look like bumbblebear will taking long break” Wendy and Joy laughing

“What to do” Seulgi pouting

“Bumbblebear will stay at the garage for a while because her left shoulder fall down” both girl having fun mocking Seulgi

“I fight a lot that’s why I injured badly”

“At least you’re treated by pretty doctor, isn’t it?” Joy pinch Seulgi knee

Seulgi smile goofily “You’re right, Dr. Bae is breathtakingly beautiful. Just looking at her can erase my pain”

“Is it love at first sight?” asked Wendy

“I don’t know but I like her already” Seulgi said shyly “Do you think she like me too?”

“Why would we know?” both girls shrug their shoulders

“But it possible if she fall for my charm” Seulgi wiggle her eyebrows

“Are you trying to add her to your fangirls collection?” asked Joy

“You have bunch of secret admires. I don’t think adding this innocent doctor is a good idea” Wendy speak while rubbing her chin

“I never respond to any of my fangirls but if doctor showing that she like me, I will not hesitate to return the favor”

“Wow, shall we see how it will go?”

“Yes, count on me” Seulgi said proudly

After their banter, Wendy and Joy excuse themselves to go out to buy food at the canteen. Instead of Yerim, the one who come with Seulgi food is Dr. Bae. Seulgi heart start thumping harder than usual when she saw Irene enter. Both of them exchange smile

“Ms. Kang, this is your food” said Irene

“Thank you doctor” Seulgi start to feel awkward “Where is Ms. Kim? Why my food is with you now?”

“Something suddenly come up and she is needed to be there so she ask me to bring you food since I on my way to check you”

“Okay”

Seulgi keep staring at Irene when the doctor is checking her. She practically checking out her doctor

“Doctor, can I eat now? I am hungry” Seulgi said frankly

“Yeah sure, you can eat”

Seulgi using one hand struggling to open the plastic bag and it’s a bit hard for her since she can’t move too much

“Ms. Kang, let me help you” Irene take the plastic bag then take out the food pack. She also open the food pack for Seulgi

“Thank you doctor”

Now Seulgi having hard time to scoop her food. She feel frustrated already and unconsciously groaning

“Arghh”

“Ms. Kang, what’s wrong?” Irene noticed Seulgi face look upset

“I can’t scoop my food well with one hand, aishhh” Seulgi complain

Irene chuckle then she walk to Seulgi again “Let me feed you”

“No-no need Dr. Bae. I will wait for my friends to come back to feed me. They won’t take long” Seulgi face turn slightly red

“I insist” Irene grab the food pack and start feeding Seulgi

After empty, Seulgi talk again “I said the food tastes good”

“So you must finish this food”

“Okay” said the injured bear “Doctor, can you remove the veggies?”

“Why?”

“I don’t like it” Seulgi grinning

“You must eat lot of veggies to help you recover faster. It is good for your health”

Seulgi pouting “Okay”

“Come on…eat again”

“OMO!” Joy voice startling Seulgi and Irene. Both of them looking at the door and greeted by shock expression from Joy and Wendy. Their jaws practically dropping to the floor, eyes turn O

“What’s wrong with both of you?” Seulgi asking

The girls quickly walk inside and close the door “We’re not seeing things, right?” Seungwan asking

“What do you see?” Seulgi asking, she and Irene getting confuse

“Dr. Bae feeding you. We’re not dreaming, isn’t it?”

Seulgi beckon her friends to come closer then she slap their cheeks “Not dreaming, right?”

“Yah!” Wendy yell while rubbing her cheek

“Doctor, please anaesthetize her now” Joy said to Irene

Irene just laughing at them “Ms. Kang, don’t harsh to your friends” she said softly

“Sorry doctor but sometimes harshness is really needed to make them wake up from their dream” Seulgi said innocently

“Let’s continue eating again so you can rest”

“Okay”

Joy saw Irene feeding Seulgi with a piece of broccoli. Usually Seulgi will avoid that vegetable by taking it out from her food

“Unnie, do you really eating broccoli? Usually you will give it to us” Joy teasing the bear

“Bumbblebear eating veggies now” Wendy cackle

“I want to recover quickly. Dr. Bae said I will get well soon if I eat vegetables, right doctor?”

“True” Irene smile to her patient

“Thank God, now Kang Seulgi know the value of vegetable” Wendy said

Finally, Seulgi finish her foods. No veggies left, only chicken bone that still in the pack. Irene throw the rubbish then help Seulgi to clean up. She give wet tissue to her to clean up then give a bottle of water

“Thank you doctor” Seulgi said happily

“You’re welcome” Irene smile back “Now take a rest. I will come again to check you later”

“Okay doctor” Seulgi nods her head

Seulgi smiling brightly whenever Irene checking her. She not hesitate to start casual talk with the doctor. Sometimes both of them joking with each other when no one around. Seulgi also decide to ask for Irene phone number. She hope Irene will give her

“Emm…Dr. Bae”

“I told you just call me Irene” said the doctor

“Okay Irene” Seulgi giggle

“What do you want?”

“Can I get your number?” Seulgi confidently asking

“Why?”

“I want to text you but if you don’t want, it’s okay”

Irene chuckle “Give me your phone” Seulgi quickly giving her phone to Irene. She type her number and save it to contact “Here…text me anytime but I will reply late if I am busy”

“Anything else you need before I go?”

“Are you busy this evening?”

“Not sure, why?”

“I want to go out to the garden. If you are not busy, I hope you can accompany me”

“Okay, I will check my schedule then I will inform you”

“Alright”

“I got to go now” said Irene

“Okay” Seulgi waving happily then she watch Irene leaving her room with big smile

“Yes!” the injured bear pump her fist happily

Irene told Seulgi that she is free when Seulgi text her. Seulgi can’t help but feel giddy as she will spend her time with her crush. She admit that she have big crush on Irene

“Hi Seulgi” Irene open the door happily. She is not wearing doctor coat as usual and she look pretty in simple outfit

“Hi Rene” Seulgi face painted with wide smile “You look prettier without your white coat” she praising Irene immediately

Irene blushing “Thanks” she chuckle “Shall we go now?”

“Sure” Seulgi carefully hop down from the bed with Irene holding her right arm

“Do you need wheelchair?”

“I dislocate shoulder not dislocate knee so walking is no problem” Seulgi jokingly said “Let’s go doctor”

“Alright”

“I change my mind. Can you show me the way to rooftop?” Seulgi ask while they walk out of the room

“I thought you want to go to the garden” Irene frown

“No, I decide to go to rooftop. We can watch sunset” Seulgi wiggle her eyebrows

“Let’s go to the stair”

“Okay”

Both of them settle on the bench at the rooftop. Seulgi taking a deep breathe when she finally breathing fresh air after few days admitted. Hospital feel like hell if Irene not exist. Thankfully she treated by pretty doctor so she enjoy staying there

“Thank you for accompany me even you’re busy” said Seulgi

“You’re lucky that today is not hectic and I have time for you”

“I’m still thankful”

“You’re welcome” Irene flashing sweet smile to the patient beside her “are you boring in there?’

“Yes, I have nothing to do and boredom killing me. I can’t stay without doing anything”

“I know…your friends told me. You’re very active” Irene giggle

“Wow, they walk a lot about me, huh? I bet it more into badmouthing me”

“No, they just want me to keep my eyes on you because you’re hyperactive” said Irene

Seulgi laughing lightly “I know they love me even we dissing each other a lot”

“Are they your only friend? I never saw anyone else come here besides both of them”

“They are my best friend and very close to me. Both of them understand and know me the most. That’s why they complain a lot about my attitude but they used to it”

“Oh I see” Irene nods her head

“I always the most active among us. They have to take care of me even I am older than both of them”

Irene look slightly shock “I thought Joy is older”

Seulgi cackle “She is younger by 2 years while Wendy just few days younger than me”

“I really active since young age. I love to explore the world. This is not first time I injured due to doing adventures activities that’s why both of them worry about me”
