6:45 AM at Kang residence

Kang Seulgi is sleeping soundly in his room. Alarm on his phone keeps ringing since 15 minutes ago but it failed to wake him up. Door opened slowly by his 7 years old sister, Kang Yerim. She climbs on his bed and bounce

“OPPA, WAKE UP. IT 7 IN THE MORNING” the younger Kang keep bouncing on her brother bed “BEAR OPPA, OPEN YOUR EYES”

Seulgi groan while opening his eyes. He turn off the noisy alarm then tossed his phone to bedside table “Yerim, it still 6:47 AM”

“Mommy told me now is 7 already” Yerim blink her eyes cutely as she sit on her brother laps

“She lied to you” Seulgi yawn “Where is my morning kiss?”

Yerim shifted and turn around. She circled her arms around Seulgi neck and kisses his cheeks “Good morning oppa”

“Good morning baby” Seulgi hugging his little sister

“KANG SEULGI, WAKE UP” Mrs. Kang roared from the kitchen

Their sweet time was disturbed by their mom voice; both of them jumped “I wake up already mommy!” Seulgi answered

“Oppa, you better shower now. Mommy will scold you again if you late”

“Alright, tell mommy that I will down in 15 minutes, okay?” Seulgi pats Yerim head

“Okay oppa!” Yerim run out of the room while Seulgi stretch his body. He tidy up his bed then grab his towel

20 minutes later, Seulgi run from his bedroom to dining table. His mother greet him with morning glare while Yerim smile sheepishly

“Morning mom” Seulgi smile innocently

“Morning lazy bear”

“Where is appa?”

“He off to office already”

“Why appa go so early? Did he have meeting? He doesn’t tell me” Seulgi grab a glass of milk on the table and drink it

“It’s not early, Kang. He left on time. It’s you who’re late”

Seulgi curse as he noticed that he is late “Mom, I will go now” he kiss her mother on cheek then kiss Yerim forehead “Bye!” he strode to front door

“Oppa!” Yerim appear at the door before Seulgi enter his car

“Yes?”

The little girl holds out a piece of sandwich to Seulgi “You should eat”

Seulgi crouch in front of his sister “Aigooo, thank you baby” he take the sandwich then pinch Yerim cheek “Oppa will buy you new story book soon, okay?”

“Okay oppa” Yerim said cheerfully

“Go inside. Oppa will leave now”

“Alright” Yerim return to their house and close the door

Seulgi glad that he not stuck on traffic jam and he arrived 10 minutes early than expected

“Fuhhh, I make it” he fixes his necktie before get out of his car

“Yo, boss!” Seulgi greeted by his cousin at the hallway. The blonde jog to Seulgi with big smile

“Son Seungwan, what with big smile today?” they continue walking

“I just in the mood today”

“Where is Sooyoung?”

“She texted me early this morning and said that she come early then go out again to hunt for food”

“My cousins will forever weirdoes”

Seungwan smack Seulgi head “You’re weirdo too!” he whine

“I’m not” Seulgi shrugged his shoulder

“Seul, your personal assistant that your appa said will arrive today, isn’t it?” Seungwan change topic

“Is it today? I totally forgot”

“Yep, she suppose to be here today”

Seulgi go to his dad’s office after he got a called from Mr. Kang secretary. He knew that his father will introduce him to his personal assistant. He is nervous since this is his first time have personal assistant. He thought he don’t need one but his father insist because according to him, this is request from his mother

He knocked the door after take deep breath “Come in” Mr. Kang answer from inside. He open the door slowly while peeking then grin soon as his eyes meet with his father’s

“Good morning appa”

“Good morning kid, sit down”

A beautiful girl sits on the couch across to him while his father sits on armchair. The girl is really pretty with jet black hair, red office suit, plump lips and beautiful big eyes. She is breathtakingly beautiful

“Seulgi” Mr. Kang speak

Seulgi flinch but still act cool “Yes appa”

“This is Ms. Bae. She is your personal assistant that your mom imported all the way from Daegu. From now on, she will work with you, clear?”

“Crystal” Seulgi said

“Good, Chorong will give briefing to both of you about her work. Everything that listed is made by your mom so no objection. I can’t against it either and so does you two. Just do as she told so everything will going well”

“Okay appa”

“Ms. Bae, you understand too, right?” Mr. Kang smile to the girl

“Yes sir”

“Good, now Seulgi will bring you to his office. Park Chorong will meet you there”

Seulgi turn around “Ms. Bae, right?”

“Yes I am”

“My name is Kang Seulgi. I bet you know who I am to this company so I don’t want to talk about it anymore. I hope we can work well together” he hold out his hand then they shake hand

“My name is Bae Joohyun. I also look forward to work with you, sir”

“Shall I call you Joohyun?”

“Why?” Joohyun frown

“We don’t need honorific when just us” Seulgi explain

“Alright, suit yourself Mr. Kang” Joohyun give in

“Just call me Seulgi. Make yourself comfortable”

“Okay then”

“Let’s go now. Maybe Chorong noona is waiting already” Seulgi lead them to his office

Seulgi and Joohyun bump into Seungwan at the hallway. Seungwan on his way to meeting room together with Park Sooyoung

“Where are you from?” Sooyoung asked

“I’m from appa office. He introduced me to my personal assistant”

“Ohh, this is her?” Sooyoung and Seungwan smile to Joohyun

“Yes” Seulgi turn to Joohyun “Ms. Bae, this is my cousins Son Seungwan and Park Sooyoung. Guys, this is my personal assistant, Ms. Bae”

“Nice to meet you Mr. Son and Ms. Park” Joohyun bow politely

“Nice to meet you too Ms. Bae” Seungwan and Sooyoung said

“Where are you two going?” asked Seulgi

“We have meeting at 3rd floor so we got to go now” Sooyoung answered

“Okay then”

“See you around Ms. Bae” Seungwan beamed and wink

Seulgi and Joohyun proceed to Seulgi office then few minutes later, Chorong come to give them briefing

“Ms. Bae, you get to know Mr. Kang already, right?” Chorong asking Joohyun

“Yes Ms. Park”

“Good and you Kang Seulgi, you don’t have any objection regarding your assistant…nope…correction, you can’t against it” Chorong teasing

Seulgi scratch his forehead “Do you know why mom wants me to have personal assistant and she’s importing Ms. Bae from Daegu? Don’t we have lot of staffs here that can be my assistant?”

“Of course lot of people qualified but not as personal assistant. Your mother made various kind of test before she chose Ms. Bae, you know? She is the last standing among the candidates that shortlisted to be your P.A”

“I’m still wondering…”

“Yeah, I know she don’t tell you. She want you to have PA because she want to make sure your life is more organized” said Chorong

“Do I look miserable all this while?” Seulgi puzzled

Chorong cackle “Nope but she want you to be better with help from Ms. Bae. You’re good already but you still need someone to attend you. I, your secretary not involve in your personal space but Ms. Bae will do. She will be with you when you start your day until end”

“WHAT?” Seulgi jaw dropped and Joohyun also show the same reaction

“Ms. Park, do you mean whole day as in everything about him?” Joohyun asked

“Yes Ms. Bae, you’re right. This is what Mrs. Kang want so we have to obey”

“Mommy is really something” Seulgi and Joohyun looking at each other

“So Ms. Bae, here is your daily task start from today” Chorong open the file “Every morning you must make sure Kang Seulgi have his breakfast and lunch in the afternoon. If he work overtime, you must stay until he go home but make sure he stop before 10 PM because his curfew is 11”

Joohyun looking at Seulgi amusingly “You still have curfew Ms. Kang?” she hold her laugh

Seulgi blushing “It’s…not what…you think” he stutter mess

“Seulgi is spoiled brat Ms. Bae. He is mommy boy” Chorong said

“Yah, just continue” Seulgi glare at his secretary

“Sorry” Chorong stop laughing “Whenever Mrs. Kang and Mr. Kang is out of town, you must go to their house to cook for Seulgi, do laundry for him and iron his clothes. As her personal assistant, whenever Seulgi need you, you must always available for him. If he travels, you also must go together. Everything will under company so you don’t worry about money, clear?”

“Yes Ms. Park”

“Good, I will continue” said Chorong “When Seulgi stay at his penthouse, you must check on him early in the morning to wake him up and make sure he have something to eat before go to sleep. There are quite a lot of things to do since he is not with his mom so you should prepare to do extra work like make his breakfast, doing laundry, cooking, pick his outfit and make sure the penthouse is not messy. Make sure he always look good before he go out”

“Noted” Joohyun nods

“Sometimes Mrs. Bae also want you at their house so she will summon you anytime. Make sure you don’t turn off your phone”

“What she will do there?” Seulgi wondering

Chorong shrugged “I don’t know. Your mom don’t tell me anything”

“Hmm”

“Where is his penthouse?” asked Joohyun

“Same block with your new apartment. You stayed at hotel last night, isn’t it?”

“Yes”

“Seulgi will show you your place later in the evening” Joohyun nods her head

“Why me?” Seulgi pointed at himself

“Because she is your assistant so you should assist her first. Ms. Bae knows her room number. You just drive her there and help to carry her stuff”

Seulgi massaged his temple “I feel like mommy set me for arrange marriage already”

“Not bad” Chorong teased

“Not funny too” Seulgi glare at Chorong but the girl ignore him

“Ms. Bae, your desk is outside, beside me. For task at our office, I will give you briefing later”

“Alright Ms. Park”

“That’s all for now. If Mrs. Kang gives additional task, I will inform you again”

“Okay”

Chorong left the office. Joohyun still there while Seulgi slump his body on the couch

“Are you okay?” Joohyun asked

“I’m fine”

“Is my task bothering you? If it is too much, I will talk to your mother to lessen it a bit. I found it too meddle in your personal space too. We can discuss if you not comfortable” Joohyun speak tenderly

Seulgi sit properly on the couch then he smile “It okay, those tasks was assigned for you and it personally arranged by my mother. I know she work hard for that and doing her best to find a descent woman to assist me so I don’t want to disappoint her. As much as I want to against her decision, I have to appreciate her work too. She want the best for me that’s why you’re here. As for you, I don’t want her to think that you avoiding your tasks. It’s hard for my mom to trust someone so you must be the best among everyone that’s why she chose you. I told you, she is hard to please that’s why I believe you must have something special that make you standout in her eyes. Chorong also chose by my mom to be my secretary and she did a great job since last 3 year we’re working together. I hope we can work well together and go for long time, okay?” he stretch out his hand

Joohyun accept it with big smile “Let’s go for long time”

“Thank you for exist and make my mom happy”

“My pleasure” said Joohyun, suddenly touched by Seulgi words

Out of the blue, she scoot closer to Seulgi and hold out her hands “What-what are you doing?” Seulgi startled

“Your necktie…I want to fix it. It loosened already” Joohyun also nervous

“Okay” Seulgi lean closer while his breath suddenly heavy. His heart racing and feel like almost burst out of his chest

Joohyun reach out for his necktie and fix it diligently “Done”

“Thank you” Seulgi clear his throat and sit back on his previous spot

“Do you need anything before I go out?”

“Emm…” Seulgi scratching his head but at the same time his stomach growling

“Hungry?” Joohyun chuckle

“Yeah…I missed breakfast today because I wake up late. I just eat sandwich that my baby sister gave me”

“Do you want hot chocolate?”

“Can you make coffee for me?”

“I not recommend coffee when your stomach is empty. Hot chocolate or milk tea”

“Milk tea is fine”

“Alright, what about food?”

“Ask Chorong if we still have frozen kimbap at fridge. If still available, bring 1 roll for me. We have oven at pantry so you can heat it”

“Alright, I will go get your breakfast now”

“Alright” Seulgi smiling from ear to ear while watching his PA walked out of his office “Not bad” he whisper

“Joohyun, let’s go back” Seulgi said soon as he step out of his office

“You don’t have something to do anymore?”

“Yes, my work is done. We can go back early today”

“Okay” Joohyun grab her handbag then they go to elevator

Seulgi speak again when they reach the lobby “Do you come here by car?”

“No, by taxi. I don’t have car”

“Really?”

“Yup”

“What about driving license?”

“I have license but car” Joohyun giggle

“So we will ride my car. Let’s go”

“Okay” they walk to Seulgi car at VIP parking

“You know your apartment already, isn’t it?” Seulgi drive his car leaving the building

“Yeah, Ms. Park send me address yesterday and I have the key now”

“My penthouse is on top floor of your apartment so it easy for you to visit me when I stay there”

“Do you stay there often?”

“When I need time for myself, I will sleep there. It’s not too often like once or twice a week. I can’t stay away from home too long because my mom not let me and my baby sister will miss me too”

“How old is your sister?”

“7 years old”

Sweet smile painted at Joohyun face “Wow, I thought she is 2 or 3 years younger than you”

“Nope, she is still too young. She is very cute and adorable also bossy like my mom”

“You must be very close to her”

“Yeah, she is so clingy and will sulking if I ignore her”

“Very cute” said Joohyun

“Do you have somewhere to go before we reach your apartment?”

“Go to hotel first. I have to get my stuff and check out”

“Okay” Seulgi drive to hotel where Joohyun stayed

When they arrive, Joohyun told him to wait at the car since she not taking too long. Around 15 minutes waiting, she come with bag and suitcase. They continue journey to the apartment. Much to Joohyun surprise, her apartment was located at luxury complex. The security was tight and safe according to Seulgi. Seulgi pulled off at basement parking at their building and he help Joohyun with her stuff. Joohyun unit is at 28th floor

“Here is your place” said Seulgi

“This one” Seulgi stop in front of the door then Joohyun insert the key

When they enter, Joohyun can’t help but mouth open wide when she saw the interior is very luxury. The apartment was fully furnished and she doesn’t need to buy anything. Everything literally in the house

“Why do you look so surprise?” Seulgi questioned confusedly

“I-I don’t know it will be this great”

“You don’t know this residence is one of luxury residence in city? If your search in internet, it was available with detail. This one is top 3 residences”

“I don’t know. I don’t even search in internet. I thought they will just give me regular place. Seriously I not expect my apartment will be fancy”

Seulgi sit on the couch while Joohyun roaming around, taking picture of her apartment. She still can’t believe that the company is very generous to her

“This apartment has gym at 1st floor. Convenience store is just few minutes away from our building. Besides that, laundry and park are also available around here. Don’t worry about safety; the guards are from elite team”

Joohyun plop herself on the couch beside Seulgi “Thank you very much for giving me this. This is too meaningful for me”

Seulgi lips curved upwards “I told you that you really special for my mom that’s why she prepare this for you. By doing this, she must be expecting the high class service from you. You’re the first ever person that get this treatment from her”

“I will do my best in my task. I won’t disappoint her”

“Glad to hear that” Seulgi said “Do you want to see my penthouse?”

“Sure thing”

“Let’s go upstairs”

Joohyun follow behind Seulgi to his penthouse. It was located on 30th floor which is the highest level of the building. Joohyun amazed by the design of the top floor. It is more luxury than other floor. There is only one room and it is Seulgi penthouse.

“Welcome to Kang Seulgi territory” Seulgi open his arms as he welcoming Joohyun when they exit the elevator

“This one is very luxury” Joohyun amazed

“I renovate this place soon after I bought it so this is exclusive design for this floor”

“You can?”

“Money makes it possible” Seulgi wink

“No wonder it very different from other floor”

“I want to have something different from the other. It will be boring if the look are similar” Seulgi unlock the door “Oh yeah, if you come here the pin code is 0210”

“You gave me access pin?” Joohyun shocked

“Yup, why?”

“I mean we just met and you shouldn’t give that kind of things to stranger”

Seulgi pats Joohyun head “If my mom trusts you, why don’t me, right?” he giggle “Come in”

“Wow” once again Joohyun awe by the design of the penthouse. The interior was decorated with modern design and furniture. She acknowledged Seulgi taste in furniture. He really good at choosing that stuff

“Joohyun” Seulgi snapped his fingers to bring Joohyun back from her own world

“Sorry” Joohyun embarrassed

“You okay?”

“Have a sit” Seulgi led them to the couch “If you’re boring, you can go to rooftop garden. It is really beautiful up there”

“I would like to check it out sometimes”

“Yes, you should do. I always spend time there when I come here”

“Shall we have dinner together? I think you don’t have anything yet at home”

Joohyun checking her watch “I worry if you go home late”

“Don’t worry about my mom, I will sleep here if I can’t make it before curfew. She know that I’m with you”

“Okay then”

“Let’s order something. What do you want to eat?” Seulgi take out his phone

“Just order anything except chicken”

Seulgi speechless as this is first time he hear someone resist chicken in their meal “You not a fans of chicken?”

“I can’t eat chicken. I used to get really sick before so I stop eating it now”

“Okay then. I will other food without chicken”

“It’s okay if you want to eat it. Just order for yourself”

“Never mind, I don’t feel like eating chicken tonight. Let’s order pork, is it okay?”

Joohyun nods happily “It sound good too”

“Okay!” Seulgi exclaimed

“Good morning too, you’re so early that I thought. Are you always leaving your house early?” they walk to dining table

“I’m late most of the time but today I excited to go to office”

“Why?” Joohyun pour a cup of tea for Seulgi

“Well, I have my personal assistant and I’m her driver now so I can’t let her arrive late at office. What will other staff say if she make mistake in her second day, right?”

Joohyun giggle and shake her head “Thank you for consideration. Breakfast?”

“Nope” Seulgi resist

“Why? You eat already?”

“I will have breakfast at office”

“Chorong told me that you just eat snack as your breakfast. You should eat proper meal. Don’t tell me your mom not nagging about you eating that kind of food every day”

“She did and it was her routine since before but I can’t get myself up early to eat breakfast so I always eat at office”

Joohyun glare at the bear “I will make sure you eat something before start your day. If you don’t have time for breakfast at home, just call me so I can pack food for you”

“It’s fine, you don’t have too” Seulgi said awkwardly

“It is part of my duty Mr. Kang”

“Thank you then” Seulgi show puppy eyes

“Don’t show that eyes to me. You’re not cute. Now let eat breakfast together before we go”

“Okay”

Before they left her apartment, Joohyun check her makeup and dress to make sure she look good. When she satisfied, she go to living room where Seulgi waiting for her

“Done, Ms. Bae?”

“Yep, we can go now”

“Alright” Seulgi get up from the couch

“Wait!”

“What else?” Seulgi confused

Joohyun put her handbag on the couch then reach for Seulgi necktie “Your necktie always loose. Do you always look like this?”

“I will fix it when I arrive. It suffocating me sometimes” Seulgi eyes watching his PA who busy with his necktie

“It will irritating if you not tie it properly” said Joohyun then she noticed Seulgi stare at her “Staring is creepy”

“How can I not stare at you? You’re so beautiful” Seulgi said unconsciously

Joohyun blushing, luckily she done with his necktie and fix his jacket “Let’s go”

“I have something to do on behalf of Ms. Park so I stay here”

“Do you…want to go out with me later? For lunch” Seungwan very nervous right now

In 12 PM sharp, Seungwan skip to Joohyun desk while humming random song. Joohyun just finish tidy up document when Seungwan show up
