Typical day at SM building

Red Velvet members following their manager to Mr. Lee office. They don’t know what’s going on but their manager said it will be a good news for them

“Hm, I still wondering what gonna be the good news” Joy mumbling loud enough for her members to hear

“Could it be another comeback?” Wendy guessing randomly

“Ayy, I don’t think it will be our come back. You just done with your solo promotion and manager unnie said agency will give us rest for a while” Irene answering Wendy question

“What if that will be a Level up Project for Wendy unnie and three of us will join her?” Yeri chirped

Everyone's face is shining brightly “I agree with you. Unnie, which destination could you pick if you are given an option to choose?” Joy smiling wide while looking at Wendy

“Canada?”

“That will be fun too. We can visit your house” Irene said excitedly then high five with Joy

“Aigoo, it make me anticipate for the good news” Yeri eyes sparkle

They sit on the couch facing their big boss while their manager is in the armchair beside Wendy. He flashing fatherly smile to the girls and welcome them with warm greeting

“How was your day girls?”

“Our days go as usual. Filled with regular practice and schedule” said the leader

“Do you have enough rest?”

“Yes, lately our schedule is not really hectic so we have more time to spend at dorm”

“That’s good then. Use your free time to rest”

“Okay appa!” they answer playfully

Mr. Lee laughing together with them “So, today I call you all because I have good news for your group”

“What is it seonsaengnim?” Yeri asking impatiently

“We’d found a female bodyguard for you all” Mr. Lee stated

“Wow, daebak!”

“Where is she?” Irene asking

“She will arrive in a few minutes” Mr. Lee looking at his watch then someone knocks on the door “Come in!”

The door slowly opened, earning everyone attention. Behind that door, a female in black suit enters and her cool aura captivates the girl’s heart. She makes them fall in love at first sight. Who does not fall in love with the charismatic, cool and charming figure? Honey dripping from their eyes soon as they saw their female bodyguard

“So cool” Joy

“Can I call you mine?” Wendy

“Oppa~” Yeri

“I can see my future in your monolid eyes” Irene

The bodyguard smiles at them to make everyone feel giddy. They nudged each other and cackled. Mr. Lee voice bring them back from their fantasy

“Girls, this is your bodyguard, Kang Seulgi and Seulgi, they are Red Velvet members. You will work for them start from today”

“Nice to meet you, my name is Kang Seulgi” the bodyguard bow to them

“Nice to meet you too Seulgi-ssi”

After Seulgi sits beside him, Mr. Lee continues with his little briefing “Seulgi, this is their head manager, Mr. Yoo. Both of you will work together to attend this group. He will give you their group and solo schedule”

“Noted sir”

“Sir, she will stay at their dorm too, right?” Mr. Yoo asked. Hearing that, everyone can’t suppress their smile anymore. They excited to have Seulgi under the same roof with them

“Yes, Seulgi will stay with you all so she can monitor everyone 24/7. In case your managers are busy, she will bring you to the location. She also indirectly the assistant manager”

“Sonsaengnim, when she will move in?” Wendy ask

“She will move in today”

“Okay”

“Anything else you all want to ask? About Seulgi, you all can interview her later in your dorm. From your face, I can see everyone are excited” Mr. Lee teasing the members

“We don’t have question anymore” Joy said on behalf of her group

“Alright, you all can dismiss now”

They bow to Mr. Lee before leaving the office. Seulgi still stay inside because Mr. Lee want to talk to her

“Oppa, is she not going with us?” ask Irene

“She will go later with her own car” said Manager Yoo

“Oppa, you know a lot about her already. Why you don’t tell us?” the girls suddenly sulking

Manager Yoo laughing “I am not allowed to tell you all. I was informed about her arrival around a week ago. Your other managers also know about that. Manager Hwang and Manager Im used to meeting her during meetings. We just not telling you all”

“Oppa, you all so mean!” Manager Yoo run away before the girls attack him

Since they don’t have any schedule, Manager Yoo drives them back to their dorm “Don’t forget to clean your dorm. Don’t let your bodyguard faint seeing your dorm like a shipwreck and don’t let her do that work unless she volunteers. She is a bodyguard, not a maid, understand?” he looking at the girls through rear view mirror

“Yes oppa!”

“Oppa, stop at a mart near the dorm. We need to shop grocery” Irene stated

“Are you all hosting a welcoming party for Seulgi?”

“We just haven’t shopping grocery this week and we need more food stock since there will be 5 people in the house”

“Okay then”

The girls sit in the living room, impatiently waiting for their bodyguard. They just finished preparing fresh fruit and some snacks to welcome her. Earlier at the mart, they shop more than usual. Manager Choi only shakes his head seeing their antics. They keep asking her about what Seulgi 's favorite food or drink is. They really thought their manager know that stuff

Someone rings the bell shocking the girls. They quickly jump to check the monitor. Seulgi is there waiting for their response

“Anybody home?” Seulgi voice rang through the speaker

“We’re here! Come in, we will open the gate” Irene answer then she press then unlock button to open the gate

A white Volkswagen T-roc enters through their dorm gate and parks at the car porch. Everyone hurriedly run out to greet Seulgi

“Omo, her car is the latest in the market!” Wendy squeal

“She must be rich” Irene added

“I read from internet, bodyguard income is really high especially when they work with important people” Joy share her knowledge to her members

“Aigoo, she must be really cool when driving” Yeri said dreamily

Seulgi gets out of her car, still wearing black suit. She wears sunglasses that give her cool vibe stronger. First thing she do is giving charming smile to Red Velvet members making them almost hard to breath

“Hi girls”

“Hi, welcome to our dorm”

“Thank you” Seulgi proceed to take out her suitcase and backpack from car trunk

“Seulgi-ssi, let us help you” Irene offer then she grab the suitcase

Wendy, Joy and Yeri follow suit taking another suitcase, box and backpack. Seulgi can’t believe that she got high class treatment from the goddess. She never imagined this would happen. She know members of Red Velvet are kind but she not expect it to this extent

“Am I their VIP?” she asked herself then walk into the house

“Seulgi-ssi, this is your room” Irene beckon Seulgi to come to the room near the kitchen

“We cleaned this room already. This room is not that big, we hope you sleep comfortably” Joy chirped

Seulgi looks around her room and nods her head “I like this room for sure. I don’t like big space though. It’s hard to maintain” she reasoning and bring the laughter from the girls

“Glad that you like it. You should change your clothes first then join us in the living room. We prepared snack for you” said Wendy

“Alright, I will join you all soon”

The girls go back to the living room while Seulgi changes her clothes in her room. 10 minutes later, Seulgi comes out wearing a casual outfit. She took a sit beside Irene since the couch occupied by Wendy and Yeri while Joy on the armchair with her puppy, Haetnim

Irene is smiling like an idiot when Seulgi plops herself beside her. She never likes this when she meets people for the first time. Seulgi has her own charm that makes Irene melt on her first sight. Irene can smell the fragrance of Seulgi perfume. The bodyguard smell so good that make her want to sit closer and stick with her

“Seulgi-ssi, we prepared fruits and snacks for you. We will get it from the fridge” said Wendy

“Okay”

Everyone skipped to the kitchen to get food and drinks for them. Since they don’t know what Seulgi want to drink, they choose Coca-Cola. Seulgi eyes enlarged when the girls come with various kind of snacks

“Yah, you all don’t need to prepare a lot” Seulgi said awkwardly

“No worry, we plan to hold a snack party to welcome you. We don’t know which one you want so we pick randomly from the store” Yeri said

“Thank you very much. I actually not really picky”

As they start eating, the interrogation season officially starts. Irene is the first one to ask the question

“Seulgi-ssi, how old are you?”

“I am 27 years old”

Gasped echoed the whole room “She is same age as Wendy unnie” Yeri pointed at Wendy

“Maybe we’re meant-to-be” Wendy said innocently

Seulgi coughs after hearing Wendy respond, then Irene gives a glass of water to her “Are you okay?”

“Yes, I’m okay”

“Seulgi-ssi, I’m sorry” Wendy apology

“Don’t apologize. I just not chew the fruit properly that’s why I’m choking”

“Okay then”

Seulgi said after calm down “I know you're all gonna ask many questions but I can’t answer personal questions like my background because it is to protect my privacy. I hope you all understand”

“We understand” everyone answer in unison

“By the way, when we’re at home, we don't need to speak formally. We only speak formally when working. Let’s be comfortable around each other, alright?” Seulgi stare at the girls one by one

“Yes!” they chirped

“Good girl”

Joy proceeded with another question “Seulgi unnie, what is your favorite food and drink?”

Everyone excitedly looked at their bodyguard. “I like meat, Pringles and ramyeon. My favorite drink is cola. Since I need to keep myself awake during work, I also consume coffee. My regular drink for breakfast is black coffee” without Seulgi knowing, Leader Bae taking mental note about her food preference

“Favorite food for breakfast?” Irene continue again

“Since I stay alone, usually I will eat cereal if I’m not working. I only eat heavy meals when I am on duty. So for breakfast, I like kimchi fried rice, tuna sandwich or bread with strawberry jam if I'm too lazy to cook. I also consume 1 hard-boiled egg per day”

“Noted”

“Do you have a schedule for a healthy diet?” Wendy curious

“No, I just eat randomly. I don’t care too much about diet because after I consume high-calorie food, I will get rid of it. I actively exercise”

“Do you go to gym daily?” Yeri ask

Seulgi nods “Sometimes I exercise at home too”

“Which gym do you often go to?” Joy asking

“Iron man gym”

“Yah, I used to go to that gym too. Why I never see you?” Irene looking at Seulgi with her big eyes

Seulgi chuckled “Maybe I’m out of town for work or I’m in basement space. My friends have private space in the basement so we do not exercise together with other visitors. Our workouts are intense so we can’t exercise together with the others. We will exercise upstairs once in a while”

“Oh, I see”

They continue interviewing their bodyguard. Not only her charisma and cool vibe, they also find out the funny and innocent side of Seulgi. Yeri is the happiest person when she knows that Seulgi is a pro gamer. Meanwhile, Joy has a new competitor when eating. Irene can’t help but secretly adore Seulgi. She likes everything about the bodyguard, especially her kissable lips. From the other side, Wendy smirks while staring at Irene who is busy looking at Seulgi. She know something is going on in their leader mind

“Unnie” Wendy speaks while her hand is busy peeling hard-boiled eggs. They add hard-boiled egg to their breakfast menu list since Seulgi start stay with them

“Yep?” Irene still focus on kimchi fried rice

“What do you think about Seulgi?”

Irene slowly turns around and stares at Wendy back “What about that question? Do you lose interest in Eunji?”

Wendy giggled “No, I just asked for your thoughts about her. You know unnie…I caught you staring at few many times”

Irene's face turned red in embarrassment. Wendy is still back facing Irene but she knows Irene is blushing “Yah…that…”

“Unnie, I have a girlfriend so I know how it feels when you have a crush on someone. I used to be there too. I can tell from your body language”

Irene heaved a soft sigh “Am I that obvious?” she whispers but Wendy hears it clearly since there is no one around. Yeri, Joy and Yeri still sleeping in their room

“Unnie, you like her, don’t you?” Irene don’t know when Wendy stand beside her but the main vocalist right now is smiling like stupid while prop her arm on the countertop “Just admit it unnie, don’t shy”

“Just…awkward” Irene mumble

“I feel you. Let her know that you like her”

“Ayy, I don’t want to confess first” Irene whine

“That is not your style, I know. You can court her. Make her see that you have feelings towards her but you must be aware that you may or may not have a competitor too. She is still a woman and a lot of guys may be after her. Same as you, many idols are watching her with heart in their eyes. I noticed it when we’re at a music show since Seulgi joined us. Don’t let someone overtake you. You’re one step ahead of them but we don’t know people move” Wendy give love advice to her unnie

Irene played with her shirt and asked, “What should I do?”

“Tell her that you like her” Wendy stated

“Yaa~, I’m shy. I never do that”

“Hey, overcome that shyness. I’m shy too when I tell Eunji that I like her but after that load in my mind lessens because I already tell her what I feel. Same with your situation, even if you don’t know how she will react, at least she know what you feel” Wendy hold Irene shoulder

“Don’t you think it’s too early for that? We just worked with her for about 3 weeks and we didn't know much about each other. I’m worry if I make her uncomfortable” Irene pouted her lips

Wendy silent for a few seconds “Hm, you can wait for a while but you must be alert with the situation. If you see danger is coming then you must quickly take action. I am always available for free consultation, don’t worry. I’m behind you”

“Okay, I will be extra sharp from now on”

“Good” Wendy pats Irene head “Hey, is that person still courting you?”

Irene face turn frown “Yes, he not give up even I ignore him”

“Then tell him that you like someone. Don’t reply to his text anymore. Don’t meet him secretly. Don’t give him hope”

“Okay”

“That’s my unnie” Wendy playfully squish Irene cheeks

“Aigoo, go wake them up. I will serve our breakfast”

“Okay ma’am!” Wendy salute then she skip out of them kitchen to the members and Seulgi room

Irene continued her work with a wide smile. At least, there is someone who understands and supports her. Wendy always understands her the best. She know how to choose words to comfort someone based in their situation

Seulgi laze on the couch while waiting for Red Velvet members to finish practice for their upcoming show. She plays games on her phone to kill her boredom. Sometimes, she talked with staff and managers. Since she is friendly and outgoing, she easily make friends with everyone

After 3 hours practice, it’s time for their lunch break. Seulgi unpack foods for them then they eat together

“Seulgi unnie” Yeri speak

“Yes”

“If we have a separate schedule, which one will you follow?”

“Oh, I’m curious about that too” said Wendy

“I will go to the risky situation like if you need to go through a crowd. For example, if you have fan meeting while Irene unnie have photoshoot, I will go with you because yours need extra protection”

“Ohh” everyone understand

“However, if everyone have to travel to different place or attend event, there will be my fellow agent will go with you”

Irene confused “Do you mean we have another female bodyguard?”

“Yes”

“We thought you’re our only female bodyguard”

Seulgi giggled “I am the main female bodyguard of your group but when necessary, the standby bodyguard will join me. So you all have 4 female bodyguards in total. Each of you have one”

“Why they not stay with us like you?” ask Joy

“If we stay there, your dorm will be crowded” Seulgi jokes “They are in our hideout right now. They monitor CCTV around your dorm. Your dorm is the safest place because of tight security”

“What if you travel with one of us, who will be guarding us at home?”

“One of them will come to replace me until I come back”

“Okay”

“Why you not introduce them to us so that we know our bodyguard?” Wendy asking

“Is it okay if I invite them to the dorm?” Seulgi looking at Irene then the leader smile sweetly

“Of course, we want to know them too so we will not feel awkward with each other” said the leader

“Okay, I will invite them when you all are free”

“Alright”

Irene and Seulgi walk to their car that is parked in the basement parking. Today Irene has a meeting with the agency for her new photoshoot project. Seulgi will drive Irene back to their dorm because their manager have to attend Joy for her OST recording

“Seulgi” Irene tugged Seulgi arm then the bodyguard stop walking

“Yes unnie”

“Emm, I want to meet with someone. Can we stay here for a while?”

“You mean your friend will come here?”

“Yes, he will come. I will talk to him in the car”

“Okay, no problem but don’t take too long”

“Alright”

Irene sat on the backseat while Seulgi guarding outside of the car. From a distance, Seulgi saw someone dressed in all black come towards them. That is obviously a man figure. He stopped in front of Seulgi. The bodyguard make intense eye-contact with that person

“Is Irene inside?” he asked coldly

“Wait, who are you?” Seulgi is on standby mode. She hold that man on his shoulder to make distance with him

“V”

“V? Violate? Villain? Vagabond? Vulgar? Vertebra? V-…?”

That V person grunt “Kim Taehyung!” he yell

“Eh? Kim Taehyung? Which one? I never hear your name” Seulgi scratching her chin

“Yah! Don’t block my way!” Taehyung gets angry and he tries to push Seulgi away but she is stronger than him. She grab his collar and pull him on his shirt until his leg barely touch the ground

“Ahjussi, don’t pick a fight with me. I’m not sure if your bone will fixable if I fight back” Seulgi said casually

Taehyung tried to release himself from Seulgi's grip then she let him go harshly until he fell on the cement floor “Yah! You really don’t know me?” Taehyun remove his face mask

“Do I look like I'm joking to you? In this building, I only know Kim Kibum, Kim Minseok, Kim Junmyeon, Kim Hyoyeon, Kim Taeyeon, Kim Jongdae, Kim Minjung, Kim Heechul, Kim Ryeowook, Kim Yerim, Kim Doyoung and Kim Yesung. I never hear Kim Taehyung” Seulgi shrugs her shoulder

“Stupid, I am Kim Taehyung of BTS. How could you don’t know?” that guy gritted his teeth

“I don’t care about other groups outside of SM. By the way, I need to confirm that you really Kim Taehyung”

“Is my face not enough to confirm that I am Kim Taehyung? Call Irene to come out so she can tell you who I am!” Taehyung retort

“Irene is not allowed to come out of the car because the situation is dangerous to her. I don’t want her to hurt by drunk ahjussi”

“Are you mocking me?”

“No” Seulgi showing innocent face “I don’t mention your name, don’t I?”

“Stupid”

“Give me your ID” Taehyung takes out his ID then shoves it to Seulgi “Alright, you really Kim Taehyung. I will keep this card until you get out. If you hurt Irene, I can use this as evidence” she quickly put the card inside her pocket then open the door “Ahjussi Kim, 10 minutes”

“Yah, you can’t limit my time”

“10 minutes or never”

Taehyung groan annoyingly “Okay!” then he enter while Seulgi waiting outside

10 minutes later…

“Times up!” Seulgi monologue then she knocks the window continuously “Ahjussi Kim, time up! Come on! Get out!” she open the door happily

“I'm still talking with her!” Taehyun protest

“10 minutes already”

“Yah!”
