Wendy couldn’t sleep.  She knew it was all an act and that is was to increase views, but she couldn’t help herself from getting irked at watching Irene and Bogum be all lovey-dovey.  The group had watched the music bank together before heading to bed; they all knew that Irene would be home late. 

Irene still wasn’t home yet and Wendy couldn’t get Irene and Bogum’s ship name out of her head,  so here she was, sitting on the dorm’s balcony with her guitar.  She was playing a couple of tunes while her mind kept drifting to Irene.

Oh, her eyes, her eyes make the stars look like they’re not shinin’

Wendy began to sing to the tune of an old Bruno Mars song she used to listen to all the time.  

Her hair, her hair falls perfectly without her trying

Wendy closed her eyes and pictured Irene in front of her, listening to the lyrics coming from Wendy’s mouth.

Wendy didn’t finish the lyric, choosing to sigh heavily instead.  Little did she know, she had an audience.

“I love when you sing in English.”

Wendy flinched, not expecting to hear a voice behind her.  “Unnie!  You scared me!  When did you get back?”

Irene shrugged “Just a little while ago.  Can I sit?”

Wendy nodded, scooting over to give Irene some more space.  Despite this, Irene sat as close to Wendy as possible.  She was not complaining.

“Why are you here Seungwan?”

The last time the younger girl tried to hide something from her Unnie, she failed miserably, so she decided to tell some version of the truth this time.

“I was worried about you, so I couldn’t sleep.”

Seungwan’s answer seemed to pass Joohyun’s test, as the older girl hummed and nodded as a response.  “Can you keep singing?”

Seungwan gulped as an idea popped into her head.  She wanted to skip to the chorus and direct the lyrics towards Joohyun.  She wasn’t changing the lyrics or anything, so she didn’t expect the older girl to know that she was directing it towards her, but if Seungwan sang with enough passion maybe her message would get through.

When I see your face

Seungwan started strongly, strumming her guitar while occasionally making eye contact with Joohyun.
