But I Will Put My Whole Heart
The Moments I Live ForSeulgi had done her best in comforting Joy, and was able to actually calm the taller girl enough so that she could sleep. As Seulgi left the room she spotted Yeri watching from the couch, looking a bit worried.
“I wasn’t listening, but I obviously saw her crying. Is she okay?”
Seulgi smiled, finding Yeri’s attempt at defending her concern amusing. “She’ll be ok. You can go inside, she’s sleeping right now.”
Yeri nodded, then proceeded to enter her shared room. As soon as the youngest closed the door, Seulgi sighed and plopped herself down on the couch. Joy was very upset, and Seulgi couldn’t really figure out why. She figured it had something to do with Wendy, but she couldn’t narrow it down. Wendy was her best friend, and Seulgi couldn’t see her doing something insensitive towards Joy’s feelings.
Seulgi gasped suddenly. Did Wendy even know about Joy’s feelings? Seulgi thought back to her conversation with Joy, but realized that the younger girl never mentioned why she thought Wendy didn’t like her. Did she confess?
“Hey Seul.” Wendy said as she walked into the dorm, Irene following close behind.
“Hey guys! Where were you?”
Wendy seemed to think for a moment, but Irene answered first. “I didn’t want to go to the convenience store alone, so I took Wendy with me.”
Wasn’t Joy at the convenience store? Did she see Wendy and Irene together and get jealous? But Joy seemed pretty upset for something so simple...
“You okay Seul?” Wendy was suddenly on the couch with Seulgi, concern written on her features. “Is something on your mind?”
Seulgi wishes she could tell Wendy, because her best friend would surely know what to do, but she couldn’t betray Joy like that. Instead, she mustered up her best smile and brought her hand up to pat Wendy’s head. “I’m ok.”
Wendy didn’t look entirely convinced, but decided to drop the subject anyways. “Are the others back?”
Seulgi nodded, watching as Irene grabbed a snack from the kitchen. Did she have a bag from the convenience store? Seulgi is pretty sure she didn’t see one...
“Seulgi?” Irene had noticed her staring.
“A-ah sorry Unnie! You’re just so pretty tonight!” Seulgi said with a blush.
Irene smiled then turned to Wendy “Is she just being nice?”
“Of course not,” Wendy was quick to say “you’re always beautiful.”
Seulgi watched the interaction with confusion. Wendy flashed a greasy smile and Irene hid a smile behind her hand, it wasn’t completely out of the ordinary but... it felt different.
Were they flirting?
