Filming the music video for Bad Boy was very interesting.  This was one of their most bold comebacks, so it obviously called for a bold music video.  The aesthetics were visually pleasing, and the filming was going smoothly until they hit a snag at a specific scene.

“Seulgi,” the director said in an exasperated tone “you have to look nonchalant.  In fact, it should almost be as if you’re daring her to get closer!  You can’t act all shy.”

Yeri cackled as Seulgi covered her face with her hands.  Joy sat across from her, patiently waiting for Seulgi to compose herself.  In the scene, Seulgi and Joy were supposed to both lean in, almost kissing before the camera cuts to a different scene.  The director surprised them with this scene, but nobody thought that it would be this troublesome to shoot.

“Ready?” The director asked, pointedly staring at Seulgi.

Seulgi nodded, composing herself and closing her eyes.

“Action!”

Seulgi opened her eyes and began the staring contest with Joy.  Although they were supposed to both lean in, the director seemed to be fine with Joy solely leaning in, after all, this is the furthest they have gotten.  Wendy was on the edge of her seat, wishing that her friend could maintain her composure, but as soon as Seulgi’s eyes flickered to Joy’s lips, it was over.

Seulgi shut her eyes, and her head began to retreat into her body.  Joy sighed, and backed away before the director yelled “cut.”

“5 minute break.”  He said defeatedly.  

Seulgi practically ran over to Wendy, her face beat red.  Wendy chuckled, wondering when her best friend got to be so cute.

“Oh my gosh Wendy, I can’t do this!  It’s too hard!”

“You’ve never had a problem before.  What’s making this so difficult?”

Seulgi suddenly got very shy and averted her eyes.  “I- I’m not sure...”

Wendy wasn’t convinced, but she decided to drop it.  “If you’re embarrassed, just imagine everyone is in their underwear.”

Wendy didn’t think is was possible, but Seulgi’s face got even more red.  “I can’t do that!  That makes it worse!”

Wendy laughed out loud, patting her friend on the back.  “It’s okay, you’ll get the hang of it.”

Seulgi opened to respond, but was cut off by the director.

“Alright!  We are going to see how this looks with Irene instead!”
