-Jayde's POV-

Just then I heard another sound. My eyes snapped open. I jumped from the tree landing lightly on my feet, just to meet Kris and Lee. “Did you hear that?” Kris asked. Lee and I nodded.

“It sounded like an explosion. Maybe it was dwarves mining or something.” Lee said. “Dwarves? I don’t think so. The explosion was on the other side of where the mines are. It has to be the DM.” Kris insisted. “You guys are both right. Grab your weapons and let’s go. The 3 of us will just go.” I said.

We gathered up our weapons and got ready to leave when Romeo came stumbling out of his tent. “Wait for me.” He said slipping on a shoe, while hopping on one foot.

“Ugh…You’ll just slow us down.” Lee grumbled. Daehyun narrowed his eyes at him in offense to the vampire’s remark. “Besides, what about your Juliet?” Lee questioned. “Youngjae is fine. But I want to do something too. To help out.” Daehyun said.

"I don’t see the problem of him coming with us. He’s a pretty good fighter.” Kris said. “Fine but were not stopping. You’ll just have to keep up.” Lee smirked and with that he ran off at his vampiric speed. “What a jerk.” Kris murmured. I couldn’t help but chuckle a little.

“Come one, he doesn’t know where he’s going.” I said leading the way. “Shouldn’t we get him then?” Daehyun questioned. “Naw, he’ll figure out that he doesn’t know where he’s going, sooner or later. And he’ll find us.” I assured the human.

“Hurry, we’re killing time.” I said urging the two to follow.

We walked through the dark woods towards the explosion. When we got closer we put our face masks on over our mouths and noses to hide our identity. Lee joined us minutes later.

We ducked behind the bushes when a small pebble rock came bouncing our way. Kris turned into a shadow and jumped over it rolling into a ball and the small pebble exploded inside him. The shadow seeker rolled flat out on the ground and turned back to his normal form. “…That’s gonna hurt in the morning.” He said. At that moment the 3 of us jumped out of the bushes and charged.

Seconds later we met with our opponents…chunky dwarves and swordsmen, they were human. I slide tackled a line of dwarves whom all tumbled over like bowling pins. Lee followed and stabbed them each with blades. “Too easy.” I said. The swordsmen came next.

“Are you sure this is a fight? Or an all you can eat buffet?” Lee his lips. “Go…enjoy yourself there’s enough of them for all of us to face at least five.” He said. He pulled down his mask and bared his fangs jumping on his first victim.

Daehyun fought his group of swards men with ease. He was surrounded by 3 at one time. He ducked, dodging the swordsman’s weapon in front of him and stabbed his leg then tripped him. He blocked the second man’s attack with his sword. Then he kicked him hard in his sensitive spot and took the open chance to stab him in his stomach. The third man came up from behind him.

Daehyun jumped, stepping off the second man’s back for leverage and flipped back behind the 3^rd man, slicing his head in the motion.

I was pretty impressed. I looked over at Kris who easily dodged his opponent’s attacks and was able to counter their attack.

One man came charging towards him. Kris turned into a dark shadow and grew in size, forming the shape of a bird with wings spread open. The man ended up running into the shadow which engulfed him. The large bird shadow figure closed its wings for a few seconds then re-opened.

The man came out shaking and crying in fear. He looked terrible and scarred. He broke down on the ground crying out for his mother to come get him.

Lee looked irritated by the noise and hopped on top of the crying man. Kris turned back into his normal state. I just looked at him. “What?” he asked. “Nothing.” I said. I heard eerie laughing coming from the sky. When I looked up I saw goblins. Great. More goblins. “Ugh.” I sighed in disgust.

I flew up in the air and saw 2 goblins riding on incubi. “Even better.” I murmured. My irises turned a deep purple and my hands glowed the same color. I sent purple star bolts at the goblins knocking them off onto the ground. The others will take care of them. The two Incubi hissed at me and flew towards me at full speed. I flew away and they chased after me.

My irises then turned a deep red and my hands went in flames as I turned sending fire balls at them. They dodged them with ease. One thing that I actually liked about fighting Incubi was that they were a little bit more of a challenge. I flew up higher into the air and the two darted behind me.

Then I darted straight down at high speed and rammed right into one of them. We started falling down. He bared his sharp fangs at me. “How rude.” I said. I grabbed his arms clawing him. My own teeth extended. I continued to claw at him causing him to growl at me.

He wrapped his tail around my leg and swung me off of him. I pulled out a knife from the boot on my free leg and stabbed his tail hard. He screeched in pain releasing me. I put the knife in my mouth and quickly grabbed his leg.

I pulled myself up and wrapped my legs around his waist and pulled upwards. I took the knife from my mouth and stabbed him in right through his chest into his heart. He turned completely pale. His wings collapsed and his body stiffened. I jumped off him and flew up towards the next incubus. He charged straight towards me. I smirked a little, I dodged his attack and hopped on his back riding on the incubus.

He tried to fly back up but I forced him down, pushing against his wings. He was now flying down…fast. “What are you doing?! We’re gonna crash! Are you crazy?!” He snapped. I forced him further down preventing him from going back up. “Wh-Wh-What are you? Y-You’re…so s-strong.” He said trying to fight my strength but it was no use.

I didn’t respond and cracked his skull. My hands lit on fire again, setting his entire body into flames. I jumped off of him and teleported myself back to the others.

“Did I miss anything?” I asked Kris. “Not much.” Kris said. Lee laid on the ground laughing, he was laughing hard. I looked at Kris again, for an explanation. “He was sprayed by one of those mystical ladies with the painted faces, long hair, and 10 sharp knives as fingers. Yeah, the sprayed a gas on him that causes him to laugh.” Kris answered plainly. Daehyun laid on the ground hard with green gas around him.

“She got him too.” Kris informed. “Where is she?” I questioned. “Oh, she couldn’t get me or catch me.” He said. I looked at him, that I didn’t answer my question. “Oh, yeah…I got rid of her…and I’m safe by the way.” He said. “Mm hm.” I said walking over to Daehyun. He didn’t look too good. His face was pale and his breathing was unsteady. I felt his pulse…it was weak.

“Daehyun…What’s the matter? What happened?” I asked. “When…When she sprayed me…I couldn’t breathe…it…it felt like something w-was taking over m-me.” His voice was barely above a whisper. I studied him. I know what happened. “I know what the spray did to you.” I breathed.

“Wh-Wh-What?” he gasped for air. “You’re not going to die. But…it’s not good.” I told him. “C-Can you t-take it a-away?” His eyes teared up, he was in so much pain. I looked away. “I can…but I have to let it happen.

If I were to take it away, then the results wouldn’t be good, the chances are that he may lose his life. And plus this has to happen. Things will turn out good in the end, but during it…it’ll be harder for Daehyun.

I stood up and studied the area. “There’s nothing here. It was just an accident. A minor test to destroy a town.” I said reading the place, envisioning everything that had happened. “But we destroyed the attackers. So we’re good. Let’s go.” I said.

Lee just rolled over on the floor laughing crazily. “Lee.” I said, but he still continued to laugh. “Lee!” I snapped my fingers and he stopped laughing. He sat up holding his chest out of breath.

“Awe~…My lungs hurt.” He groaned. “Lee carry Dae back to camp. We’re done here.” I said. Lee got up and flipped the prince onto his back. “Man. What happened to you? You’re so light.” He said. Daehyun couldn’t respond.

The 3 of us quickly traveled back to the camp. “Where do you want me to put him?” Lee asked once we arrived back to the campsite. “Place him by the camp fire.” Lee placed him down, resting Daehyun’s head gently against the log.

“Man I am stuffed, but my lungs hurt.” Lee stretched walking away. “Night you guys.” The vampire said climbing up his tree. I bent down besides Daehyun. I placed my hand over his chest and closed my eyes taking a deep breath, inhaling and exhaling slowly.

I opened my eyes. His pulse was much stronger and back to normal, his face was no longer pale. Daehyun gasped for air catching his breath. “Wh-What did you do?” he asked sitting up. I just shrugged. “I believe you’re supposed to say ‘I saved your life.’” Kris said in the background. I turned around shooting him a look.

“Y-You saved me?” Daehyun repeated. I sighed and turned back to Daehyun. “I wouldn’t say I saved you, you weren’t going to die.” I said. “Wow…Thank you. I-I don’t know what to say.” He said astonished. “You don’t have to say anything.” I spat.

Daehyun blinked, not understanding. “You’re still sick.” I said changing the subject. “I didn’t heal you completely, because I figured you’d want Youngjae to take care of you.” I said smiling softly. “But…he’s still…tiny.” He sighed. “He’s going to be back to normal very soon.” I promised. He looked up at me and smiled hugely. “Really?” He asked. I nodded. “Now get some sleep.” I said. “Thank you! Thank you Jayde so much!” he jumped giving me a hug, taking me completely by surprise.

“I knew you had a soul! You’re the best!” he squealed excitedly like a little child. He released me and slipped happily to his tent. I couldn’t help but smile a little.

I stood up back to my feet and dusted myself off. “Wasn’t Youngjae shrunken by a pixie?” Kris questioned. He’s still here? I turned to face him and nodded. “So when is that pixie coming?” Kris raised an eyebrow. “Not any time soon.” I said. He studied me. I sighed. “I’m going to change him back to normal.”

“Mm hm~…” he waited for more. This kid. “There’s a change of plans. Daehyun is going to need it, because what lies ahead of him is not good.” I said feeling some pity for the human. A smile came across the Shadow seeker’s face. “I know what you’re thinking.” I snapped.

“Jayde come on. You have to try. You’re already doing it.” He urged. “No! I won’t! What are you trying to do? It’s dangerous.” I snapped. “Jayde~, why won’t you listen to me?” He said.

“Because you don’t understand, and you never will, because you won’t ever have this much power!” I spat. My eyes burned. Am I…? Am I…? No! I quickly stormed off too somewhere, where I could be alone and clear my emotions…and where no one could get hurt.

A/N: Sorry for the two really short chapters. I put these chapters up earlier than I planned, since BAP's new MV came out today!! So one day early shouldn't hurt! But they did come out kind of short, this will be the shortest chapter I'll do and will try to make the other ones much longer, but I hope you enjoyed them! And BAP's new MV, which was amazing!
