The Way To Happiness
The Way To Happiness“Gui, are you sure about this?” George asked his voice full of concerns.
“Yes, George. I’m positive, I think it might be the best decision I’ve ever made,” she replied, gripping a small, red suitcase in her hand.
The two decided to take the first flight that morning. The flight will be taking off in about 10 minutes, so therefore, they have to enter the plane and take the seats.
“Alright, but you know, Aaro-“
“Let’s go in, we’re going to be late,” she curtly cut him off, heading toward the gate.
George sighed heavily as the worried feelings are still here and there in his stomach. “Wait!” he called.
“…I’ll just go buy us something first, just in case you get hungry and all,” he made up a quick excuse, not minding if it make sense or not, and rush off hurriedly.
Gui Gui watches him as he march off. She sighed and looks at her watch intensely.
George rushed into the bathroom, the door closed behind him loudly causing him to jump. An unsettling feeling wandering around his head as a frown unconsciously form on his flawless, handsome face.
Clumsily, he fish out his phone in his pocket, scrolling hastily down his contact list until his eyes landed on a particular name, his thump automatically stopped, without a second thought, he tap the person’s number and bring the phone close to his ear.
“This is your last chance, if you don’t pick up now, don’t blame me when it’s already too late,” he thought, waiting for the person from the other line to answer.
But unfortunately, he didn’t.

Aaron woke up with a slight head, dizziness washed over him as he slump back into bed. His eyes shut tight, irritated with the unexpected greeting from the bright sunlight.
“Argh!” he grunted rubbing his fingers with the sides of his head, hoping to ease the painful headache. “Where am I?” he thought looking around the unfamiliar room, lost.
His eyes then landed on the bright, hot pink sticky note that had been stick by someone on the lampshade on the nightstand table. Still laying lazily on the bed, his hand reach for the sticky note, his eyes squinted, trying to read out the writing.
Hey,
You probably don’t remember me since you were beyond drunk last night, but I thought I’d leave you note since you’re kinda cute. Brought you here last night cuz I don’t know where you live, hope you don’t mind though, right? Ha ha…anyhow, last night was amazing, thanks for the unforgettable night.
Love,

His eyes widens as he reached the end of the note. “Thanks for the amazing night? What does that supposed to mean?” he muttered.
Unwillingly, he forces himself up. Greeted with the unexpected coldness, his eyes traveled down himself, eyes dropped opens as he sees his bare and self. “What the h3ll happened???” he mentally screamed. Then, the words from the sticky note he read just now sink into him. “No way, I couldn’t possibly…”
Taking along cold shower, his mind finally works again. I glance at the clock hanging forlornly on the wall, it’s already ten o’clock. Running his hand through his hair, Aaron picks up his phone and look through the missed calls and messages.
Seeing so many missed calls from George, his friend-emy, he decided to check out whatever this guy has to say to him.” I mean, he couldn’t have a male-crush on me right?” Aaron muttered to himself, but ended up laughing by himself instead, totally amusing.
However, when the serious voice of George from the other line ring through his ears, his laughter died out and a serious face is now plastered on his face.
The sound of ‘beeps’ motioning that the unheard message had ended, feeling like someone had stabbed his heart, Aaron’s body stiffens, trying to process the information that had been informed to him. When it finally did, his phone unconsciously slide of his grip and his body collapsed to the hard, white, marbled floor.
“Aaron, it’s George’s here, I know I shouldn’t be doing this and Gui will probably never forgive me, but if I don’t tell you now, I’ll probably regret it for the rest of my life. I don’t know if you’re going to believe me or not, but here’s the deal. Even’s real identity is really Gui Gui, she only came back here to try and forget the past with you. I don’t know what happened the other night, but she seems to be acting rather strange after coming home. Even though she didn’t tell me what exactly happened, I know that it has something to do with you. But right now, I think you better rush here fast, we’re at the airport right now, 10 minutes until the flight, get here now!!!” and there was a pause.
“She wants to go back to Australia.”
