The Way To Happiness
The Way To Happiness
I play with the sleeves of my shirt with my head hung low. George had taken me out to talk and he somehow got the pass for both of us to excused from the afternoon classes.
"Gui," he call.
"Yes...," I replied, eyes still glued onto the floor not daring to look into his eyes.
He sighed. "Gui, look at me...please," he pleaded.
My eyes still remain onto the floor refusing to look at him because I know, if I do, I'll tell him everything.
"Ying Jie," he call me in a gentle voice. I can feel the rough skin of his fingers as he lift my chin up, forcing me to look at him.
"George...," I whimpered.
"Please?"
I slowly lift my head up and look at him, thought I still try to avoid any eye contact. "Just look at his ears GuiGui, just look at his ears," I told myself.
"Gui, please...tell me what's going on," he look at me with his pleading eyes.
I keep quiet.
"Ying Jie, please tell me what's going on. We'll get things right again together," he told me. "Please?"
I bit down my bottom lip trying to keep in the tears that's dangerously hanging at the tip of my lower eyelid.
"George, it's nothing really. I-I- don't think I'm ready to tell you this yet. Can you please...wait a little longer?" I whispered.
He look at my longingly with those deep, gentle eyes once again, thought I swore I can see a hint of disappointment. I force myself to look away and stood up.
"I'll be going now," I told him and turn away.
"Wait!" he call gripping onto my wrist.
"George...please?" I begged. "I promise I'll tell you when I'm ready..."
He slowly let out of my arm. I hurriedly walk away as he do so.
"I'm sorry George, it's just...not the right time...not just yet...."

"Where did you disappeared yesterday?" Aaron look up from the book he had been reading.
I settled down on one of the chairs in the library and look at him. "Places," I replied. Better to tell him lies then the truth, he's going to freak out again if he know I spent the whole afternoon skipping classes with George.
"Which places?" he close the book giving me his full attention by now.
"Just...places," I shrugged, getting up ready to go look for a book for my history class research project.
"Even Wu," Aaron called causing me to stop in my track.
"Meet me in front gate after school," he announced, "...we need to talk..." he got up and exit the library without glancing back.
Great!
Just freaking great! After I'm done with George, now it's Aaron. GuiGui Wu Ying Jie, what have you gotten yourself into?

I'm just running out of ideas and I pretty much wrote down whatever came into my head... Is it...depressing enough? O.o I don't actually know how to write depressing stuff since I'm just a happy and really hyper girl. ;___; I know that has nothing to do with writing something depressing, but that's my excused alright??? Leave me alone!! x___xll
