Chapter 42: 

After the slow dance, the DJ changes up the music to a upbeat 80s dance song. Minhee quietly sits on a chair while taking a sip of her punch as she waits for Jungkook to come back from the restroom. She watches as Bobby attempts to impress his date with a silly dance move. 

Her mind wanders off to Jimin. She wishes he was here with her. She wants the last dance to be with him. She likes Jungkook and doesnt mind sharing the last dance with him. But she would rather dance it with the love of her life. According to Jungkook at the end of every dance they play a romantic song from older generations. It has always been a tradition like that at this school. Minhee asked Hoeseok earlier that day, instead of him answering he laughed remembering how Seokjin, Namjoon and Yoongi would sit down during the last dance. Minhee giggled at the thought of it to which Yoongi butted into the conversation and informed her that slow dancing wasn't his thing. Namjoon stated that he was too tired by the end of prom to slow dance and that Seokjin just didn't feel like any girl was special at that time. She found herself chuckling again as she took a sip of her drink. Her gaze immediately falls to Ivy the moment she steps into the gym.

 She watches as the girl examines her surrounding. She has her long pale arm linked with a muscular football player. She watches as the girl fixes her hair and whispers something into the boy's ear. He laughs and they walk into the sea of dancing students. Minhee makes a face, there is something about Ivy that she doesn't like at all. She can't tell what it is but she has a bad feeling about the girl. 

"Hey." Jungkook taps her shoulder. "You ready to dance?" The song changes to a upbeat early 200s song. Minhee stands up from her seat and grabs a hold of Jungkook's hand. It sends shivers up his neck. He tries to stop himself from blushing infront of her. "Come on lets dance." 

"Do you think this snow is edible?" Taehyung asks as he analysis the glittery snow props. They had just finished taking the couple winter dance picture and were heading towards the table food. 

"I don't think so." Jungmee shrugs as she watches Taehyung poke the white snow flake above his head. 

"It's kind of romantic." Taehyung informs. "I really like it." He turns to towards Jungmee and gazes at her once more. He loves how the royal blue dress looks on her. He was so thrilled to find out that his tie matched the exact same color of her dress too.

"It kind of is." Jungmee responds. She thinks about the last dance at the prom. Although they went as a group she really hopes that she ends her prom night slow dance with Taehyung. After the whole kiss incident she hasn't been able to get Taehyung out of her head. She constantly imagines herself kissing him again. "We should go and join Minhee and Jungkook." She breaks away from her thought. 

Taehyung nods and quickly hands Jungmee a cup filled with fruit punch. They drink it quietly and watch students rush to the dance floor when a popular song starts playing. 

As Jungkook and Minhee are dancing, she notices Ivy getting closer to them. She pulls her date towards herself and dances in a very seductive way. It kind of annoys Minhee and she tries to focus her thoughts on something else. As they keep dancing she notices Ivy getting closer until she bumps on her with so much force she lands in Jungkook's arms. 

Jungkook sends glares at Ivy. Within a few seconds Bobby, Bohyun, Taehyung and Jungmee come running to Minhee's side. 

"What the hell?" Taehyung yealls. "Cam you be ing careful?" 

Ivy tries to act all innocent and pulls her date towards her. 

"I am so sorry." Ivy pretends to apologize in her nasally voice. 

Minhee just stares at the girl with an annoyed face. She rolls her eyes and grabs Jungkook's hand and walks off. She hits Ivy on shoulder as she walks off. Bobby sends death glares at Ivy before walking off with his date. 

"We won't buy that stupid sorry Ivy." Taehyung informs. "Just watch where you are going, you might break the whole world by one of your stupid mistakes." 

Ivy's date giggles slightly at the comment which causes a gasp to come out from Ivy. Jungmee glares at Ivy and she and Taehyung walk off. For the rest of the dance Ivy keeps her distance from the group of friends because of how over protective they can be of eachother. She wishes she had those types of friends which creates more hatrd towards Minhee for that. 

As the prom comes to an end, Minhee sits quietly at one of the seats with her sister by her side. 

"That Ivy chick is a ." Jungmee states. "The other day she was talking about how her essay was going to be on a stupid first world problem."

Minhee chuckles. "I know. It was really stupid." 

"Did she try to trip you or something?" Jungmee asks.  

"It seems like it." Minhee shrugs. "I don't know." 

"Well I know is that ever since Jimin and you have been kind of like boyfriend-girlfriend, she has had this stare when she sees you." Jungmee begins. "Everytime you too are sitting at lunch together or walking together in the halls, she always seems to be there just watching."
