Chapter 26
· Wounded Hearts ·Chapter 26:
"It's pretty cold huh?" Taehyung smiled as he gazed up at the dark night sky. Jungmee nodded her head. He inhaled deeply and turned his attention to the quiet girl. He sometimes wishes she was more open and didn't hide her affections; most importantly her feelings. They arrive at Jungmee's home.
"Thank you." She took a pause and smiled at him "For showing me your hangout."
"You're welcome." He responded back. "See you later Taehyung." She turned away but he grabbed her wrist gently. He can feel the pulse of his heart against his chest. It felt as if it were tabout to explode.
Jungmee turned her attention to him. She got lost in his brown eyes. She never noticed the small sparkles inside them. The more she stared at him, the more she caught little features. Like his eyes being single eyelids, his squared shaped smile, and long eyelashes she envied. She smiled back at him. "Is something wrong Taehyung?"
Taehyung loved how she murmured his name against her lips. It sounds so soothing and relaxing to him. He suddenly has the courage to push her hair away from her face. He studied her face and noticed the small freckles on her cheekbones and nose. That's her best feature in his opinion. Suddenly he has the courage to pull her close to his body. He wrapped his long arms around her shoulders. "I just want you close to me. Please don't push me away. I can't stop thinking about you. Please don't be so distant from me."
Taehyung lets go of the hug. He stared into her eyes and then planted a soft tender kiss against her forhead. He closed his eyes and hopes she wouldn't push him away. Jungmee liked how his soft plump lips brush against her forhead. "Thank you." Taehyung whispered "For not pushing me away."
Suddenly Seokjin came into her mind. "I have to go Taehyung." She took two steps back and hit the gate.
"I guess I will see you at school." He smiled softly
"Yeah yeah." She answered nervously. She turned around and punched the passcode to get in. "Bye Taehyung." She turned and sees him watching her.
"See you Jungmee." He smiled and then turned away disappearing into the cold winter air.
Jungmee ran to the front door. She unlocked it and stood in the entrance hall.
"YOU'RE FINALLY HERE!" Hoseok's voice roared in concern. Jungmee jumps a little.
"Hoseok!" She rolled her eyes "You scared me."
"WHERE WERE YOU ALL DAY?" Hoseok's voiced out in anger.
"I wasn't at school." She answered
"I know that. I got a call from the teachers. And they said you didn't show up to any classes." Hoseok said annoyed.
"That is true." Jungmee slipped in some slippers and walked to the kitchen.
"Tell me, where you with Seokjin?" Hoseok asked. Jungmee reached into the refrigerator and pulled out a bottled water. "Why would I be hanging out with him?" She asked"Wasn't he with you guys all day?"
"He was but then he left." Hoseok answered "Did he pull you out of class?"
"No he didnt." Jungmee stuttered
"Then what happened?" Hoseok asks concerned.
Jungmee gazes up at the ceiling for a second and then looks at Hoseok's black hair. "I ditched school for today because I wanted to try it just once at least."
"What? You have never ditched school?" Hoseok raisesd an eyebrow
"Nope. So I wanted to try it and I promise you I will never do it again!" Jungmee smiled softly at Hoseok. She took a sip of her cold water.
He put the phone down. "Fine. I won't be calling mom and dad about this." Jungmee ran over to Hoseok and hugged him.
"Ouch." Hoseok flinched "Something wrong?"
She breaks the hug. "No" He shakes his head. "I am perfectly fine." Jungmee smiled and bolted up the stairs.
He carefully listened until she slammed the door of her room. He pulled up his sleeves and stared at the deep cuts on his arms. "I am perfectly fine."
"Hoseok told me you ditched school is it true?" Seokjin asked bringing Jungmee back from her thoughts.
"Yeah." She chuckled "He got all mad."
"Really?" Seokjin looked at the road "I remember him being careless back in high school. The seven of us would constantly ditch school."
"Seven of you?" Jungmee raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah. It was fun. We had a hangout where we would hi
