Chapter 43
· Wounded Hearts ·Chapter 43:
Ever since their dance, and since they left the school Jimin held onto Minhee's hand and wouldn't let it go. Minhee didn't mind though, she missed him. She quickly leaned in and planted a kiss on his cheek.
'Wow, what was that for?" he chuckled while looking at her.
"I just...missed you" she replied shyly.
"Huh? What did you say?" he said trying to lean closer to her.
"I- I said I missed you" she reiterated in a slighty louder tone.
"Sorry, could you repeat that one more time?" he said
"I REALLY MISSED YOU PARK JIMIN" she said much louder. "Could you hear me that time?" she chuckled.
"Loud and clear baby" he smiled and winked as he picked her up and placed her on his back. "You must be tired from dancing all night. Let me be of service to you" he continued. She didn't realize how strong Jimin was, I mean he literally just picked her up and placed her on his back.
"Jimin, you don't have to carry me. You must be tired too" she said trying to get down. But he insisted and kept her on his back, he was just so happy that he could be with Minhee. "For you I'd walk a thousand miles with you on my back" They both chuckle as they continue walking. She couldn't help but feel her heart skip a beat at his cheesiness. In he past, she actually used to despise when he would say such things to her. But now that she see's him in a totally different light, everything he says to her only makes her love him more and more each day.
"Is where we're going far? You don't have to carry me the whole way if it is" she said.
"Nope, not far at all. We are actually here!" he smiles as he let's Minhee down. "Welcome to my humble home" he says as he grabs her hand and leads her inside. As they walk in, the warm air soon engulfs their bodies after being out in the cold for a little. Minhee loved the place, she loved the coziness that she could feel.
"Sorry it's a little small, but I hope you feel okay" Jimin says shyly.
"What? No the size is great! I love it! It also smells amazing in here" she said as her nose was infiltrated by the delicious smells.
"I hope you're hungry because I made us some food" he smiled as he grabbed her hand and lead her to the kitchen. She was greeted by a full spread, with a beautiful bouquet of real flowers that sat in the middle of the table as the center piece. She was touched by the amount of effort he had put into such a delicious meal, and even the fact that he came to prom. "Jimin" Minhee said as literal tears started to well up in her eyes, she was speechless.
"Hey hey, are you crying?" he asked as he came up to her and cupped her face gently. "I didn't mean to make you cry, I'm sorry" he said as his thumbs gently wiped away the tears that fell.
"Jimin, h-how can I ever repay you back for everything that you always do for me? I don't deserve such treatment" she managed to say as she pulled away from him to wipe her face and blow her nose with a tissue she had pulled out of her purse.
"Hey don't say that. You deserve everything, and so much more. You've given me something that is priceless" he said as he grabbed her and wrapped his arms around her. His heart began to beat rapidly. "You've pulled me out of the dark, out of a place I couldn't have gotten out by myself. You've helped me to kick out the old me, and made me realize that I can actually be better. That I can change, and become who I always wanted to be, but never knew where to start. You are the push I needed down my road to recovery" He said as he gently grabbed the girls chin and lifted it up to look at him as he leaned in closer "You did that...Lee Minhee" he whispered as he was centimeters away from her lips. His breath sent shivers down her spine, at this point Jimin too was in tears. He just loved Minhee so much, that he didn't know how to handle his emotions. How could he love someone this much? What are you doing to me Minhee? He then placed a warm kiss on her lips. They both smiled, as they finally sat down to enjoy the delicious dinner that Jimin had made.
"So, where are we headed off to?" Jungmee asks as they walk down the snow covered sidewalks hand in hand.
"It's a surprise" he smiles
"That's what you said at the dance" she chuckles "Can't I have like a small clue?" she continues.
"Well it's not going to be anything spectacular, but it's a place that means the world to me. I've never brought anyone to this place, because I wanted to save it for someone I love" he says as he looks over at Jungmee and smiles. As she looks back at him, she can her heart pounding. She looks down at the sidewalk to hide her red cheeks, and calm her down. "Someone I love" those words kept repeating in her mind, it wasn't as if it was words she hadn't heard before, because Taehyung was pretty straight up with his feelings for her, but for some reason being here,
"Well, I feel honored" she replies as she tries to calm her heart down.
"Are you cold though? It's a little chilly out tonight" he says as he goes behind her and rubs both her arms.
"I'm totally fine. The cold never really bothered me. What about you?" she replied
"No worries, I love being in the cold. But if you do get cold, please tell me and I'll give you my jacket" he replies as he takes her hand once more. "We're here" he continues. They walk down a beautiful path covered in thick vines with frost perfectly decorated on top. It beautifully glistened under the moon's delicate light. Jungmee was in awe at the beauty, and it was somewhere she had definitely never been before. S
