They followed Ravi and April through the forest, running at super fast speed, with Kourtney on Baekhyun's back again, before stopping when they reached an entrance to a large cave. Baekhyun set Kourtney down and they all entered the cave. After walking through it for about ten minutes, the came to an area with a large hole in the center. Kourtney peered over to find that she couldn't see the bottom. 

"We're going down there?" Her voice trembled.

Hana nodded. "One of us can carry you when we jump down. It'll be fine."

"Or if you want," Kai proposed. "I could take you down there with my power."

Kourtney took one more look down the edge before nodding at Kai. "I think I'd like you to take me."

April laughed. "Sounds good! See you guys down there!" 

April and Ravi jumped down the hole, followed quickly by the others, leaving only Kourtney and Kai. She took his hand and closed her eyes. After a few seconds she opened them again and saw the others walking down a long path in front of her. The tow hurried to catch up and after a few minutes, Kourtney could see an opening at the end of the path. A thick curtain of vines hung at the opening and when Kourtney moved some aside to step through, her eyes widened. 

The area was large and encircled in massive cave walls, with a large opening at the top, shining down bright sunlight. The ground was filled with green grass, some large trees, boulders, and small pond. At the center was a long, two story brick mansion.

"You're kidding me." Kourtney glanced over at Ravi and April. "You guys live in a mansion?"

April giggled. "Yup! We have our leader to thank for that! And his mate!"

Kourtney couldn't help but gaze in awe as they approached the mansion, causing Baekhyun and Hana to laugh. When they entered the mansion, stepping into the grand foyer entrance, Kourtney's eyes widened. 

"Holy cow!"

The interior was breathtaking, the walls painted a pure white and a giant silver crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling. There was beautiful decor throughout the room, including a few paintings of landscapes. A grand staircase, also white, ran up from the right side, leading to the second floor. Towards the end of the room was a set of large double doors. 

"We're back!" April called. "Come say hi!"

As if on cue, the double doors opened, revealing four tall boys. While three of them walked over, one ran. He had light brown hair with his bangs cut across his face. He ran over to April, knocking her over in a jump-hug.

"April! I missed you!"

April giggled, playfully bopping him on the head. "Idiot, I haven't been gone that long." 

He sat cross legged on the floor, pouting. "It's boring without you! The others aren't any fun!"

"Hey!" One of the other boys, who had dark bown hair, shouted. "I tried to play with you but all you did was complain about April not being here!"

"Like I said, it's boring without her! Gosh! Listen for once, Hyuk!"

The other two boys joined them, one with thick brown hair and dimples and the other with shoulder length black hair, which he had tied back in a half ponytail. The boy with dark brown hair, Hyuk, rolled his eyes. 

"Sometimes I forget that you're older than me, Ken."

Ken shrugged, still sitting on the floor. The boy with the thick brown hair noticed Kourtney and stepped over to her. 

"You're Kourtney right?" He asked, smiling. 

Wow! He has a nice smile! Kourtney thought. She nodded. "Yeah, that's me." She rubbed the back of her neck. "I guess everyone here knows about me."

"Of course we do, silly!" April jumped up from the floor, that big grin on her face again. "Kris told our leader who told all of us!"

"And that's when i decided to call Kris to have you come visit." Came a female voice.

Kourtney looked up to see a girl and a boy walked down the staircase, the two holding hands. The girl had long, wavy maroon hair and the boy had bright red hair, as well as really tan skin. 

"Kala!" April called, running to the bottom of the staircase, giving the girl a big hug. Kala laughed, ruffling her hair before she and the red haired boy moved over to Kourtney.

"It's nice to meet you Kourtney. My name's Kala."

Kourtney nodded. "Nice to meet you, too."

The red haired boy let go Kala's hand and held it out for her to shake. "I'm N, the leader of the pack."

Kourtney shook it, relieved to find it wasn't cold either. 

N introduced the others. "I assume you've already met April and Ravi. The one sitting on the floor is Ken, the one next to him is Hyuk, the one with the brown hair is Hongbin, and next to him is Leo."

Kourtney ran the names through her head, making sure to remember them all.

"It's nice to meet you all." She glance around the foyer. "You guys have a really nice place."

Kala smiled. "Thank you. I designed it myself."

Kourtney's eyes widened. "Really?"

Kala nodded. "N gave me the freedom to do whatever I please. All he had to do was pay for it."

"Technically father paid for it." N stated, kissing Kala's temple. 

"So you two are mates?" Kourtney asked.

Kala nodded. "Have been for a year, though we were together before that. We mated just after I turned eighteen."

Ken stood, or more like bounced up. "I can't wait until I turn eighteen!"

"What's so special about eighteen?" Kourtney asked.

"It's the...well...legal age for us to start mating." Hana answered. "Some won't mate at that age, but most do."

Kourtney looked around at the clan members. "So, how old are you guys?"

"Kala and I are both nineteen, Leo's eighteen, Ken, Ravi, and April are seventeen, and Hongbin and Hyuk are sixteen." N replied.

Kourtney haden't expected them all to be so young.

"Well, we'll be having lunch at noon. I'd be more than happy if you could join us." Kala stated.

Kourtney glanced back at Hana and the others. "Can we?"

"Of course!" Hana placed an arm around her. "We'd love to stay for lunch."

Kala smiled. "Perfect. Then it's settled."

"Would you like a tour of our home?" N asked Kourtney.

"Sure! I mean, if it's not too much trouble."

Ken bounded over. "Can I give her the tour? Pretty please?"

N laughed. "Sure. Just don't annoy her to death."

"If anyone would annoy her it'd be you, N!" April teased, giggling.

N sighed. "Excuse me for a moment."

April screeched as N started chasing her down the hall, laughing like a mad man, or in this case mad woman.

Everyone laughed as the chase went on for a few minutes, April taunting N, shouting things like "You're so slow!" and "You'll never catch me alive!"

Finally, N tackled her down, pinning her to the floor. April kept laughing and Kourtney couldn't help but feel that this happens frequently, like Kai's wrestle matches with Sehun or Jonghyun and Key's exchanges. She looked around at the other clan mmebers, who were smiling, minus Leo who had a stoic face. 

They're a family, too. These guys are nothing like those creeps who attacked me that night.

N gave a playful chop to April's neck before helping her up. She scampered over to Chen.

"Come on, Chen! Let's go play!"

Chen smiled as he let her drag him away. "Sure."

Kourtney couldn't help but feel a little envious. I wish he was that comfortable around me.

The others went off to do thier own things, leaving Kourtney, Ken, Kala, and N in the foyer. N placed his hand on Kala's forehead, convern on his face. 

"You feeling okay today, honey?"

Kala nodded. "A little tired but I'm fine."

Kourtney tilted her head to the side. "Vampire's can get sick?"

Kala chuckled. "Not often." She placed a hand on her stomach. "They can, however, get pregnant."

Kourtney's eyes widened. "You're pregnant?" She squealed. "Congratulatons!"

Kala smiled. "Thanks." She gazed over at N. "We weren't sure if we were ready at first, but after babysitting my sister's newborn, we were all for it." N kissed her cheek.

"How far along are you?"

"Three months."

Ken bounced in excitemet. "I can't wait til the baby's born! I'ts gonna be so much fun to play with!"

"You are never holding our baby, Ken." N snapped.

"But why?" Ken whined.

"Because you're you."

Kourtney and Kala laughed at Ken's pouty expression.

"Come on, Ken." Kourtney placed a hand on his shoulder. "How about the tour."

Ken grinned, bouncing again. "Yeah! Let's go!"

Kourtney followed Ken throughout the mansion, getting to see every room in the large home. Ken was the most excited to show her the outside pool, the ballroom, and his bedroom. Upstairs, N and Kala had the master bedroom while the other clan members had thier own bedrooms. The only room Ken didn't show was Ravi's room.

"His room is a huge pigsty. You don't wanna go in there."

After the tour, Kourtney and Ken joined the others outside at the pool. Ravi, April, Hongbin, Hyuk, Hana, Kai, Baekhyun, and Chen were playing in the pool while Xiumin, Luli, and D.O sat in chairs watching. Ken, after changing into his swim trunks, cannonballed into the pool while Kourtney went to sit by D.O. Looking around, Kourtney realized someone was missing.

"Where's Leo?"

"Kitchen." D.O responded. "He's getting lunch ready."

After a few hours, everyone went back inside, the ones who played in the pool going to change for lunch. They gathered in the dining room, where a delicous and fancy looking lunch was set on the table. The food was delicous and when Kourtney complimented Leo on his cooking, he turned red and hid behind the table in embarrassment. Kourtney thought it so adorable. 

While eating, Kourtney learned a few things about each clan member. N aparently loved to read and that got Kourtney excited. He also had a huge love for banana milk. Kala loved to sew and she always made clothes for the members. Leo, as Kourtney had discovered eariler, was very shy, but also loved animals, kids, and coffee. Ken and Ravi were both good artists and had actually done the paintings that were hanging in the foyer. Ken was also really good at animal impersinations. Kourtney's favorite was the pterodactyl. Ravi was a huge sleepyhead and, according to April and Ken, had a really loud snore. April was a half-blood vampire. Her father was a vampire and her mother was a human. They had both been locked up for breaking the law, but were released when April turned ten. Hongbin was a clean freak, needing to clean whenever he could. He also loved photography. Hyuk , though being the youngest, loved to mess with the others and was always trying to act manly. Kourtney figured he never succeeded, given his face was, in her opinion, the cutest of the bunch.

As they were finishing, N cleared his throat.

"So, Kris mentioned to me about some sort of magic inside you."

Kourtney nodded. "Kris said he could smell it. Onew could, too."

N smiled. "As can I. As well as the others."

"You can all smell it?"

Kala nodded. "Vampires have more acute senses than werewolves do."

N continued. "The reason I brought this up is becuase i have a theory."

Kourtney watched him curiously.

"Magic is very rare and very valuable. Only a few handful of werewolves and vampires have been able to use it throughout the years. It seems odd that someone would cast a spell on a human. However, there is another possibility." He pasued for a bit before continuing. "A spell could have been cast on you to hide or lock away something. It is very possible that whatever is being hidden inside you...is not human."
