trying hard not to break down
preciousGO didn't even look up as his ears caught the sound of rushing footsteps nearing him and Kyungho the manager. He didn't have the will to move. He just sat there, on the bench in front of the emergency room. His tears were flowing like a collapse dam. He didn't even have energy to wiped away his tears.
"Byunghee-ya." Seungho called softly but the slightly younger boy didn't respond. The leader kneeled in front of his friend and rubbed his friends arm and like he thought, the boy fall against his chest as he bawled his eyes out. "It's okay. You did great." Seungho tried to sooth his friend. He knew that GO had been restraining himself not to break down. With only GO was left with the sick maknae, all the responsibility of a leader, of a hyung fall on GO's shoulder. Seungho also knew GO did that for Mir so their youngest brother would feel a bit comforted at the brave face GO put on. And now that he was here, GO can finally let out all of his frustration. "How scared you must have been. I'm sorry for being late." Seungho pulled GO with him from the floor and sat back on the bench. He kept rubbing GO's back while letting his friend drenched up his shirt with tears.
Seungho looked up to Kyungho. As if understanding the look in Seungho's eyes, he only shook his head dejectedly. "I have called Byungki to fetch up Changsun and Sanghyun. They'll be here after they finish their schedule. We still didn't hear anything from the doctor."
Seungho unconsciously clenched his teeth. He was about to burst into tears. Wailing so loud. Shouting for Mir's name. But, he couldn't. Not when GO need him to be strong. He's the leader. He need to be strong for his dongsaengs.
And each second past as the sat waiting for the news about their youngest brother, felt like years. They waited and waited until half an hour after, Joon and Cheondung came. The two boys were crying like GO. Letting themselves being soothed by the father-like leader.
"He'll be okay. We have to believe that." Seungho said to s. The others nodded but still couldn't stop their tears. Yeah. He need to be strong.
GO pulled away from Seungho. His crying had ceased, leaving him with quiet sobs. "He..." GO cleared his throat, trying to control his broken voice. "He was in pain. I tried to reach for him. He was pale. Like a ghost. He was... Too weak." GO looked at the hands on his laps. It was trembling. Still trembling like the moment when he had Mir's limp cold body in his arms. Unconscious and writhing in pain. "He look... So small... So fragile. I tried to help but it seemed that everything I did just make it worst." GO looked over his other three members whom since he started talking had given him full attention. "Why can't we stop hurting him? Why is he always the one being hurt when he's with us?" And that question have no answer. They knew they had hurt Mir a lot.
"It's too late to change what we did to him. The only thing left now, is to be strong for him." Seungho finally voiced.
"It's unfair." Cheondung said in a small voice. "It's unfair that he's always the one in pain." And they couldn't seem to argue Cheondung's words. All of the tired eyes now was staring sadly at the still closed door. The door to a room that held their maknae away from them. The door that they knew, they would hate for life.
