Donghae's POV

There goes Sandara Park, the supposed goddess of the campus, walking with her clique. They think they run the place, as if. To think that I was one of the boys that admired her. She had the beauty and brains, but I bet she's like her father. They are family after all.

“Yah, you're staring at her again,” Eunhyuk told me

“No I'm not. I'm glaring at her. There's a difference,”

“Either way, you are looking at her,”

“Whatever,”

“Why are you so obsessed with her anyways?”

“Her family is despicable,”

“Why?”

“Her father stole from us!” I said a little too loudly.

She glanced our direction and I felt no shame whatsoever.

“You know that very well,” I hissed at Eunhyuk

He looked frustrated by my answer.

“And what did Dara do?”

“Why do you call her that? Are you two friends?”

“She's actually nice, Donghae,” he defended her

“As if,” I rolled my eyes

“You do know that her father stole from a lot of people and then left Dara's mom, Dara and her siblings, right?”

I became quiet. What? When did that happen?

“You are so caught up about her father stealing from your family company that you don't take the time to listen to other news,” Eunhyuk stood up,” She's a nice girl, Donghae.”

He left me there with my thoughts.

Sandara's POV

I was walking with my friends, minding our own business when I spotted Lee Donghae looking at me. Well glaring, as if he was killing me in his mind. I sighed.

“That Donghae guy sure stares at you a lot,” said Hyoyeon

“Because he hates me,”

“I think he might actually secretly like you,” JiEun stated

“What?” I looked at her with disbelief, “He hates me, I know it. Everyone knows it,”

“Maybe that's why he hates,” continued JiEun

“That doesn't make any sense,” I told her

“I am following her,” Hyoyeon clung to JiEun's arm

“How?”

“He is hating on you a lot because he actually does like you but then your father messed up and so he doesn't want to like you,” explained JiEun

“Leading him to hate you even more to repress his feelings,” added Hyoyeon

“Unlikely,” I shook my head

“Oh cheer up, Dee. Why does it even matter if he hates you or not?” Hyoyeon threw her arms around me

“It's just.... so uncomfortable. And I don't want hate,”

“This sweetie pie,” she pinched my cheeks

“And you have class with him,” JiEun reminded me

“Right, statistics,”

“Which he is not so great at,” JiEun pointed out

“But you are!” Hyoyeon exclaimed

“And?”

“You can help him!” they chorused

“I don't want to help him to earn something in return,”

“But you do want to help him?” the two wiggled their eyebrows

“I did. I tried. He just ignores me,”

“The boys in your class must be dying to be Donghae getting all your attention,” JiEun giggled

“Oh stop, let me just go to class now,”

“Enjoy statistics!” Hyoyeon yelled.

How could I possibly enjoy statistics when he's there? He hates me and it is driving me mad! Ugh.

Author's POV

Coincidentally, the two arrived by the classroom at the same time. Dara stopped on her tracks seeing the sight of Donghae. She let out a small smile as a greeting but he ignored it as usual. He walked in the classroom first with Dara following. To add on the awkwardness, the only seat available for Dara was in front of Donghae.

“Oh great,” muttered Donghae.

Dara was fed up. She looked back at him with a disgruntled look.

“Can you not?” she exploded

“Can I not what?”

“Be so blatantly rude,”

“Excuse you?”

“No, excuse you!” Dara stood up.

The rest of the class had their eyes on the two. None of them have ever seen Dara mad before.

“Do the two of you want to take your argument outside?” the professor came in

“No,” the two said simultaneously

“I think you do.”

Dara stormed out of the classroom in which Donghae then followed. The two walked far away from any of the classes so that they couldn't be heard.

“Are you happy now?” Donghae asked

“What?”

“First your dad ruined my dad's life and now you're ruining mine,”

“I never did anything to you! Why are you so mad at me? I did nothing!”

He was quiet.

“Exactly,” Dara threw up her hands in the air

“I'm sorry,” he unexpectedly apologized

“Do you want to tell me something?”

“I guess because your dad is gone, I have no one to be mad at,”

“So I'm a scapegoat now,”

“I'm sorry I let out all my anger on you,”

“It's o—okay. I guess I understand. I'm sorry that my dad did what he did,”

“I'm sorry again,”

“So are we okay now?”

“Yeah,” smiled Donghae

“Finally,” Dara said

“Finally?”

“I thought it was such a shame that we couldn't be friends. You seem like a really nice guy,” answered Dara.

That instant, Donghae swore he felt his heart skip a beat. As for Dara, she felt like a heavy anchor was lifted off her shoulders. And to Donghae's surprise, Dara gave him a quick embrace.

“I really am sorry about my father's actions. I hope we could be great friends from now on,” the petite girl said

“I hope so too,” was all Donghae could manage to say.

Dara then went back to class thinking Donghae would follow, but unknown to the two, someone saw the whole fiasco, Eunhyuk. Donghae's best friend ran to him and put him in a head lock.

“You sly fishy,” he said, “I knew it! I knew it this whole time. Dara and you,”

“What?” grumbled Donghae

“Oh never mind,” Eunhyuk let go of him, “We'll talk when you've caught up,” he winked and walked away.

Now Donghae was lost, but somehow content and felt like he was on a cloud. Maybe this is the effect of Sandara Park.
