Taekwoon was okay in Hongbin's opinion. In all honesty, due to Taekwoon's lack of words, Hongbin couldn't really find the appeal. Sure, he was cute, Hongbin would admit that, but other than that, he wasn't sure why Hakyeon liked the other so much. Wonshik seemed to like Taekwoon enough, but since most of the attention was circling around Hakyeon, Taekwoon and Wonshik, Hongbin just sat, sipping his drink most of the time.

"Hongbin, are you okay?" came Hakyeon's voice, pulling Hongbin out of his trance. He shook his head and met eyes with Hakyeon. He couldn't help but think how good the latter looked that day: his hair not all the way off his forehead, but pushed up a bit; his white button-up shirt hanging loosely and his jeans... well, let's just say, Hongbin couldn't help but stare a bit. 

"Y-yeah, just fine." Hongbin gave a small eye-smile and returned to his drink. Hakyeon raised an eyebrow, but didn't probe and went back to chatting with the other two. Hongbin sighed a bit. 

Suddenly, he heard his name being called from behind and turned around to meet eyes with his best friend, Joohyun. He smiled and waved in her direction. This caught the attention of the other guys at his table. They watched as Joohyun ran up to Hongbin, hugging him quickly.

"What are you doing here?" Hongbin asked, standing up to talk with Joohyun. 

"I came here with my friend. It's such a coincidence too, since I wanted her to meet you." Joohyun explained, smiling widely. Hakyeon, on the other hand, was watching the interaction closely.

"Who's she?" Hakyeon asked Wonshik, leaning over toward him. He knew Wonshik knew Hongbin closely, and so he might know who this girl is, though Hakyeon was unsure why Hongbin never told him about his cute friend. Wonshik only shrugged, "I think her name is Seo-something. Hell if I know." Hakyeon pouted at the other's answer. He'd find out, no matter what.

"Come meet her!" Joohyun grabbed Hongbin, pulling him away from his friends. Wonshik and Taekwoon paid no heed to this and continued with their previous conversation. Hakyeon just watched the two walk away. 

"Who is she?" Hongbin asked, moving quickly behind Joohyun. He had to, anyway, since Joohyun was moving too fast for normal paced walking. She pulled him over to a table where another girl was already sitting, her head down, reading a newspaper, a small tea in her hands. Something looked familiar about her.

"Soonkyu, meet Hongbin." Joohyun said, excitedly. They both gasped when they met eyes.

It is her! It's Soonkyu.

It's him. Hongbin.

"Hey, what's your friend's name? You know, the one with the long black hair?" Hakyeon asked through the phone. Hongbin, who had put his friend on speaker, since he was making his bed, froze, his body leaning over the bed. Why did Hakyeon want to know?

"Joohyun?" Hongbin replied, quietly, secretly hoping Hakyeon wouldn't hear.

"Yes, Joohyun. Seo Joohyun, right?"

"Yeah, that's her." Hongbin stopped what he was doing. Did Hakyeon like her? He fell onto his bed and frowned. He couldn't lose Hakyeon, his friend, his crush, to Joohyun. He loved Joohyun, sure, but god, he loved Hakyeon more. To the point where if he saw him with someone else, much less a close friend of his, he'd be heart broken.

Hakyeon had been with many other people, boys and girls, while Hongbin was around, but in the past years when Hakyeon was single, that's when Hongbin began liking the tan boy. Occasionally, Hakyeon would tell Hongbin that he was tired of being single and Hongbin would just nod, hoping that his friend would see right through him, realize he was there.

It never happened.

Hakyeon asked if he could have Joohyun's number. Hongbin gave it, along with his happiness, to Hakyeon. 

Soonkyu watched as Hongbin quickly ran back to the table after giving a small squeak of "Hello." It was definitely him, but she wasn't sure why she didn't stop him. Tell him she forgave him for whatever it was they were fighting about. She didn't. She let him run back to his table with a quick glance back. Joohyun sat down in front of her and shrugged.

"Don't know what's up with him." she said, picking up her coffee and sipping it. Soonkyu shrugged, acting like nothing was bothering her. Joohyun didn't push it, though and continued drinking her hot drink. They talked a little bit longer before heading out, at the same time that Hongbin and his friends did. Soonkyu ignored Hongbin, but couldn't help but notice a few other things.

One, being, that tan friend of Hongbin's wouldn't stop staring at Joohyun. He was watching Joohyun, hiding behind Hongbin, smiling a bit. Two, Hongbin was shifting awkwardly, clinging to his other friend who was wearing a snapback and sunglasses, taking short glances at the tan one. Third, whoever that light-skinned, cold stare boy was, he sure was cute. She poked Joohyun, asking "Who's he?" while pointing to Taekwoon.

"Hm, I'm not sure. Come on! We have shopping to do!" Joohyun declared and pulled Soonkyu with her out of the diner, quickly past the boys and not even bothering to say bye. Soonkyu just followed, knowing damn well that she should just go along with Joohyun, but she couldn't stop thinking about Hongbin's friend.

She was determined to find out who he was. Whatever it took.
