Jonghyun P.O.V:

"MOM?!?"

That woman is Rachel's mother?! This can't be good. If I were Rach, I would be running out the door by now. I could hear the pure fear in Rachel's voice. I wanted to grab her and run so I could hide her. Her mom is a menace. She's left us several voicemails yelling and cursing at her about how much she wanted to kill her. It's so terrifying. "Tae, why don't we go upstairs? This isn't concerning us. . . You too, Jjong" Minho said calmly across the room to us. "Yes, run along" Rachel's mom teased. Taemin and I went straight for the stairs without looking back. Me and Minho had our ears pressed against the door to my room trying to listen. I wanted to go downstairs to fight. "What's gunna happen?" Taemin asked scared. Suddenly, we hear a loud boom and Rachel's scream

Onew P.O.V:

"So... You're hiding at your boyfriend's house... Why? To avoid me? And your roommate is pregnant? You let that happen too?" Lisa(Rachel's mom) asked. "I'm not hiding! And I had no control over her acti-" "How old is she?" Lisa asked suddenly, cutting Rachel off. "19" she said quietly. "Then I'm surprised you're not pregnant! 'Cause I can't wait to see you make a family just to ruin it!" Lisa teased with a smirk. Rachel's cheeks started to turn red with anger. "I bet your father would've enjoyed to see you fail as well" she laughed again. "Don't you dare talk to-" I tried to object before I recieve a fresh punch square in the face. I fell down... hard. Light headed, I winked from the pain of hitting the floor. All I could do was hear Rachel scream. I looked up to see Lisa over me, ready to sock me again. But Rachel pulled her away, pushed her, and Lisa disappeared behind the couch. Rachel rushed to me teary eyed, repeating "I'm sorry" quietly in my ear. "Go, leave, run!" she whispers. "NO!" I practically scream. "I won't leave you" I said a lot more quiet. She stared at me and my cheek until her mom pushed her away from me. With Taemin's shoe in her hand, she chased me, obviously wanting to hurt me. Why does she want to hurt me?? Wait, maybe this can be a good time for Rachel to run! I stopped running. "Come and get me!" I yelled, trying to sound brave. Lisa stopped, dropped Tae's shoe, and swiftly turned around to Rachel, who was shaking and crying. "No! Onew! Stop!" Rachel cried. "How adorable" Lisa laughed right before she decked Rachel. I could feel myself gasp in terror. Rachel's mother is crazier than I thought. "You crazy !" my voice broke, ready to cry. I would've ran to Rachel, but her insane mom was in the way. "What did you say to me, you stupid asian?" she yelled back. I wasn't afraid of her. I walked up slowly and punched her in the face. She fell to the floor long enough for me to run to Rachel's lifeless body. "Wake up" I heard myself whisper. Her nose was bleeding. I felt terrible for not protecting her. I heard shuffling behind me and Lisa was gone. Our kitchen door was swinging back and forth. She's in the kitchen, probably grabbing a spoon to whack us. She came out, but with something else... A knife

I look back to Rachel, who was now standing up. "I'm not afraid of you!" Rachel yelled. She really did sound confident. Lisa only laughed. "You think trying to make me believe that you're NOT chicken makes me want to run scared?!" "Let me ask YOU something mom! Why didn't you take of dad with me? Why did I have to all on my own?! How dare you burden me that way!" Rachel yelled, wiping her bloody nose. "But, on the other hand, dad was happy he never had to see your ugly face again. So thank you. He died happy" Rachel smirked, crossing her arms. Lisa clutched the knife and started running towards her daughter,red in the face. She held up the blade, as if she was aiming for Rachel's throat. But I tripped her in time. She almost stabbed me! But instead cut a huge gash in Rachel's shoulder. "NO!!!" I heard myself scream in my head. Rachel screamed in agony and fell to the floor on her knees, holding her shoulder for dear life. Her blood dripping off her elbow. As soon as I was about to deck Lisa, Kibum and Amber storm through the door to horrifying scene. Key gasped in shock. Amber ran straight to Rachel for aid. Kibum and I start to surround Lisa. "Stay back! I'm warning you now!" She screamed, raising the blade. She was certainly ready to shank us, But I could hear the fear in her voice.

"You... And what army?!" I heard a familier, stern voice say from the last step of the stairs. Lisa turned around slowly to see Jonghyun, Taemin, and Minho burning her with evil glares. Jonghyun had a baseball bat and Taemin had a golf club. And I knew Minho didn't need anything but his fists. When she was focused on them, I kicked the knife out of her hand and picked it up. Me and my bandmates all surround her, holding up our weapons. She started to back away, scared as ever. Rachel and Amber came into the circle. Rachel faced her mother. "7 against 1. I suggest you leave" Rachel said with confidence. Her shoulder was still bleeding, except now, she wasn't paying any attention to it, as if she never got sliced. "This isn't over, you know that, right? Just be lucky you have people to protect you.... For now" Lisa said with the remainder of her will to fight back. "I'll be ready" Rachel said sternly. With that, Lisa ran out the front door, as fast as she could. When she left, Minho and Jjong shut the door and locked it. I was so happy it was over, but then I realized, Rachel was still hurt. We all surrounded her. My girlfriend, on the ground, bleeding and crying. Everyone backed away, because they all knew Rachel was mine. I bent down. "You were so brave. . . I'm so proud of you. . . I love you" I said in between kissing away the tears on her face. She tried to smile, but couldn't do anything but cry in pain. Everyone started to cry with her, Me, Amber, Jonghyun, Key, Taemin, even Minho. "We hope you never have to go through that ever again" Minho sobbed down at Rachel. For once, Minho showed pity to her. Anybody deserved sympathy if they were on the ground with one shoulder cut open by their last remaining parent. Rachel only looked up and nodded. Key and Jjong got down to Rachel's level to embrace her. "I'm sorry" Key cried silently. He let go and held Amber, who was crying for her best friend. Jjong wouldn't let go of Rachel. Taemin and Minho held each other and cried quietly. And. . .I realized, I was alone, until Jonghyun pulled me down to the ground. I stared into Rachel's green eyes. She stared back. "You're gunna be okay" I sobbed to her. I felt myself sigh when Rachel forced a smile through her tears. Jjong and I held Rachel, Kibum held Amber, and Taemin held Minho and we all cried together, The war was finally over. The tears stopped when me and Jonghyun took Rachel to the hospital for stiches. Everyone was emotional for the rest of the day.

After that day, what Lisa said to her daughter kept repeating in my head. And it kept me up at night

"This isn't over". . . .
