Chapter 16: Filming The Chicken.

Another day passed, and it’s dinner time again right now.

Nothing really special happened from this morning up until now.

When I reached the dining room, everyone had already started eating.

What?

I have no interest.

I went to my seat beside Hana.

She gave me a smile, and I returned it to her- which made Baekhyun scoffed.

Hana gave him a glare.

If Hana didn’t kill him, I’d do the honor to freeze him to death.

Oh wait- I’ve begun that already.

The eyeliner lover widened his eyes upon sensing the coldness of my ice.

Kekeke.

Take that you idiot.

“HYUNG!” he shouted.

“WHAT THE HELL?!” he glared at me.

I feigned innocence, and he scoffed again.

“Stop your stupid ice, or I’ll blind you,” he sneered.

Color drained off my face, and I quickly defrost him.

Damn this eyeliner obsessed boy and his threats.

He smirked at me- and I was the one who scoffed this time.

We continued our dinner peacefully, until Hana decided to...puke.

She spurted out something out of - and my eyes widened when I knew the liquid.

It’s way too familiar- that red color, and moreover... the scent.

Blood.

Not only me- but all my eleven brothers were also widening their eyes.

“WHAT THE HELL?!” she yelled.

“Why is this blood instead of water?!”

“Hana, you need to drink it- or you’ll die,” mom explained.

“At least you need to drink a glass a day,” she continued.

I could see Hana’s face getting even paler.

“No effin’ way,” she spoke lowly.

“I prefer to die than drinking this ,” she growled.

“Well then, I’ll force you to do it~” mom sing sang.

Hana’s face turned into a panicked one.

“Don’t you dare hypnotize me!”

I bit my lips in frustration- so were the others who had befriended her.

We want to save her- we knew how much she detests blood.

However, this is necessary- this is a must.

We can’t let her die anyway.

However...her ‘haters’ were smirking at the scene she was in.

“Almighty Hana is panic~ look, hyung~” Kai mocked.

What the hell is with this no-feathered-chicken?

Hana snapped her head to him- and somehow... we could see Kai’s near future in her eyes.

That chicken lover might be served for the next meal.

“Drink,” we heard mom say.

Well- there goes the argument.

She widened her eyes, but complied mom nonetheless.

Sorry Hana, but you have to drink it.

Once she was finished, she gave a disgusting look to us.

“Yuck,” she poked her tongue out in disgust.

“How can you guys drink this ?!” she glared to mom.

“Sorry dear- we told you, we can’t let you die.”

She kept on mumbling on how yuck the taste of blood is- making all of us erupted in a laughter.

But a sentence from her stopped our moment.

“Chicken, you’ll pay back.”

Well then.

Kai better get ready for...hell.

“I don’t have a debt to you~” he mocked back, mimicking her line on Jihye.

Seriously...he’s looking for early death wish.

 

 

 

 

 

Kai

There goes my mouth.

Doom.

Stupid mouth.

And stupid brain- actually.

I just had to add a comment, and then I just had to mimic her...

Way to go.

She’s right at this point- I’m a chicken.

Let’s wait for the result of my artwork.

She was standing there in furious- her eyes were slaughtering me.

And... cooking me- for tomorrow’s breakfast.

Dayum.

I’m really a chicken in her mind huh -_-

I was waiting for... well, my hell; but it never came.

Instead, she only gave me a smirk and continued her dinner.

I somehow knew that something bad was coming.

 

 

 

 

 

Sehun

After dinner, we went to sleep.

And Kai-hyung was lucky- that newborn didn’t make him pay back.

Another day passed, and it was peaceful too.

Just like yesterday.

She did nothing to make that chicken hyung of mine to regret his actions.

After dinner, we were all seated in the lounge.

And...

She still did nothing.

Surprise, yay.

Maybe... she had decided to forgive him?

Ugh.

She’s so unpredictable.

So now, Kai-hyung was all relaxed- assuming that she’s not going to do anything.

But of course- that kind of thinking was never right.

She’d make him pay back.

After some peaceful time, she walked in- and suggested a movie night.

And moreover, she’s suggesting a horror one.

Just to tell you readers- Kai-hyung is a real chicken when it comes to horror movies.

He gets scared like a little girl.

Yeah- it’s funny all right.

If only she knew that Kai-hyung is scared of horror movies.

From the corner of my eyes, I could see his face getting paler by the seconds.

But of course- he wouldn’t tell her that he’s scared like .

All of us agreed- making the chicken had no other choice.

After he agreed- he was the last one- Hana showed us the movie.

Evil Dead.

Heol.

That movie is deadly scary.

And poor chicken.

He’s going to regret his decision- definitely.

He unconsciously gulped once he saw the cover.

And then, Hana smirked.

She knew -_-

But I should’ve known that she knew after all.

She wouldn’t ask us to watch a horror movie out of the blues.

She knew that he’s afraid of horror movies.

GAH.

One of my traitorous brothers must’ve told her.

This is ing unfair.

 

 

 

 

 

Chanyeol

And so, the movie began.

Hana was sitting between me and Tao- who proclaimed that he’s scared.

Yeah.

Who could’ve guess, right?

Our almighty kung fu panda is actually scared of horror movies.

He clung onto Hana with that lame reason.

As for me... well, Hana’s the one who chose to sit beside me.

Kai was sitting on our right side- the spot where we could see his expressions clearly.

And to be honest, we’re actually watching his face instead of the movie.

We enjoyed it really much.

To the point that we’re laughing- and it’s a horror movie, mind you.

His eyes were glued to the screen, and he was muttering something along the line ‘don’t go’ or whatever.

LOL.

He actually spoke with the movie’s characters.

Then suddenly- he shrieked like a girl.

But he kept on being an idiot- watching the movie.

Hana even recorded it on her phone.

Oh boy- he’s going to get mocked by her in as long as he lives.

And I’m happy that she chose to stay with us.

Not like she had a choice anyway- she’s a vampire.

So there’s no chance at all for her to return to the human world.

Moreover, her foster father was a vampire hunter... former or not, still a vampire hunter.

And that’s all the more reason to not let her go back.

Who knows if he’s going to kill her, right?

Somehow deep inside me, I knew that she’s sad about this.

And this is actually inappropriate- but I’m happy that she’s here.

She’s going to be with us forever now.

Well- I hope she will.

The day when we all knew that she had somehow turned into a vampire- I can’t be happier than that.

Once the movie was done, Hana quickly hid the camera- to make sure that Kai won’t see it.

He’d definitely throw a fit if he knew- because that’s a material for black mailing him.

Hana excused herself to the toilet- and that’s when dad came in.

He raised a brow at Kai’s pale face, but said nothing when he took notice of the DVD’s case on the table.

He also knew that the dark boy is afraid of horror movies.

“Why are you here, dad?” Suho-hyung asked.

“Can’t I be here?” dad rolled his eyes.

Really.

And he called himself a king -_-

“I want all of you to be Hana’s side for all the time,” he stated.

All of our eyes went wide.

Thankfully, Hana wasn’t here right now.

He explained the reasons for the demand.

Like how a certain jerk managed to sneaked into the castle.

And entered Hana’s room.

And put a stupid note.

That boy dared...

Thank God that she didn’t believe him.

When dad finished his explanation, our gazes were darkened.

I’m somehow sure that all of us were planning on Yun’s funeral now.

“Just stay by her side,” dad left the scene.

 

 

 

 

 

Tao

Right after dad left us, Krystal came.

GAH.

Why can’t anyone let us prepare for Yun’s funeral literally?!

Krystal broke an unexpected news on us- which made our mouths hung wide.

We were dumbfounded.

Soon after, Hana came back- and she looked at us weirdly.

“Why are your mouths hanging like that...?” she raised a brow.

We shook our heads to get the news out of our head.

“Nothing much,” I answered.

She opened to reply again- but mom and dad entered the scene.

Dude -_-

Couldn’t dad just came once and tell the news one time?

Why did he have to come back?

“Hana dear, we have decided to move your room to the hallways with my sons’ rooms,” mom explained.

Now, it was Hana’s turn to hung her jaw.

“You’ll be safer this way,” mom continued.

Hana blinked, then scoffed.

“You’re moving me to the place where the people living there are always more than ready to drain me, and you’re saying that it’s safer?!” she asked in disbelieve.

Wait.

Whut?

I did not try to her blood.

None of us did.

Except Suho-hyung and Luhan-hyung.

Oh wait... that incident with Suho-hyung...

Okay. I almost did that once.

“But Hana-”

“No,” she cut mom’s words.

“No way in hell I’m sleeping anywhere near this erted deer- who knows what he’s going to do when I’m defenseless,” she growled.

“Puh-lease,” Luhan-hyung scoffed.

That deer just had to...UGH.

“I told you before that I have no wish of getting closer to you too, newbie,” he emphasized.

However, Hana brushed him off.

HA!

On your face, Luhannie-hyung.

“We’re not asking for your approval. We’re telling you that this decision is final. You’re moving to the room near them, period,” he said with authority.

“We are not risking your life. We’re not going to lose you...again.”

Wait.

What did he say?

None of my brothers could hear it- but I’m sure that Hana did.

Because at that statement, she stayed silent.

“Move to your room,” dad ordered her and then left with mom.

The room fell into silence.

Hana was staring at the ground, while we were all stealing glances at her.

What would be her reaction?
