Chapter 14: Possibilities.

Luhan

My eyes almost bulged out of its’ sockets when she came from behind mom.

I got a feeling that something’s not right when we barged in her room.

I couldn’t felt her presence- more like... I did, but I also didn’t.

Did that make any sense to you?

No?

Oh well.

Anyway, when I stepped inside her room, I grew alarmed immediately.

There’s a vampire’s presence.

My brain panicked in thought if someone kidnapped her.

But I looked around- and there’s no sign of kidnapping.

Like broken things, or opened window...nothing at all.

And what’s more weird, is that her human aura is completely gone.

It was replaced.

But at the same time...it’s not possible.

She couldn’t be a vampire, if she’s not bonded to one.

Or twelve, in our case.

And no- my biting isn’t the cause.

We do have venom- but it’s only for the sake of pleasure.

Humans’ whose blood we , should feel pleasure when we did.

But not her- she screamed in pain.

It shocked me, to be honest.

And then, she decided to give me a heart attack.

She...turned into a vampire, just like that.

She looked around, and her gaze turned into lasers when she found my eyes.

In a second, she appeared with a finger pointed on my face.

But I couldn’t hear what she said clearly.

I was too drowned in those beautiful and deep violet eyes.

“...AIR HEADED ANIMAL!” now that, interrupted my fantasy.

I glared back, and told her the truth of our nature with a growl.

Well, who wouldn’t?

You’re accused of something you didn’t do.

Then, something sparkled in her eyes.

My gaze softened immediately, and the tears began to flow.

Not a second later, she enveloped me in a hug- making me frozen on the spot.

She sobbed continuously- and my hands began to move in uncertainty.

I patted her head, and that little gesture made her cried harder.

On instinct, I grabbed her waist and hugged her back.

“It’s going to be okay, Hana...” I muttered as I placed my chin on her head.

“It’s going to be just fine...” I caressed her hair.

I continued to mutter those soothing words for her, and her sobs came to a stop.

Her breathing became even, and I thought that she fell asleep.

I pulled off the hug, and my thoughts were true.

She fell limp on my hands.

Thanks God I didn’t let her go completely.

I smiled softly at the cute gesture, and I saw it in the corner of my eyes that my eleven brothers were smiling a little too.

Mom asked them to go to bed, and so did I after I put her to bed.

They all left after glanced at her once more.

I carried her, and put her on the bed.

I gazed sadly as I wiped off the stain of tears.

I don’t want her to cry.

It pained my heart- and I’m sure my brothers’ hearts were shouting in agony too.

I tucked her hair off her face, and caressed her cheeks.

Seems like she felt my touch, because she smiled in her sleep.

And unknowingly, a smile was formed on my lips too.

She looks beautiful.

“Good night, Hana,” I whispered as I pecked her forehead.

It’s the second time I did that.

I got up and headed to the door.

“Goo-good...ni-night...too...Lu-Lu...Han...” she mumbled.

I stood still for a second- she just said them unconsciously.

I went out and closed the door with a silent click.

A chuckle escaped my lips when I did.

She’s cute.

Lay

We went back to our rooms, and question still lingered in my head when I entered my chamber.

How did she become a vampire?

She’s not bonded to one of us- so that’s impossible.

And we’re not the only ones who were confused, mom and dad were too.

The question mark could be seen right there above their heads.

And when she cried earlier... I really felt useless as her friend.

No wait...as her lover.

Yes, I do love her- just the same like my other brothers.

And six of my idiot brothers were just too...prideful to admit them.

I was about to hug her, but she’s faster.

She hugged Luhan-hyung, which startled all of us.

They literally hated each other.

And it actually pained me.

She hugged her enemy- and not her friend.

I was happy though, because Luhan-hyung showed his caring and loving side like when we were little because of that.

But the envy controlled me more.

I wanted to be in his place.

Getting hugged by her and comforting her.

I wanted to do that so badly.

And when Suho-hyung was being all lovey-dovey with her at the ball.

Their back-hugging and stuffs- they really looked like lovers last night.

And I really envied that.

But I need to strain my feelings.

The twelve of us will be her husbands, and there would be more envy feelings lingered for sure.

But I love my brothers too, so I would try my best to not let my love for Hana hindered our brotherhood.

And I wouldn’t let our brotherhood hindered our love for Hana either.

Because this is only the beginning; and it’s far away from the end.

The Queen

Hana closed the door and locked it again- but she didn’t turn around to face me.

Instead, she crouched down and began sobbing silently again.

I approached her slowly.

“Hana...” I called.

Slowly, she lifted her head and faced me.

That’s when I couldn’t help but to gasp.

How the...?

Her irises were violet- unlike the usual dark brown color.

And then...

Her canines are sharper than ever- and they’re protruding out of .

I widened my eyes as I came to a realization.

That’s not canines anymore.

They’re fangs.

Oh, you’re asking the difference?

Canines are humans’; while fangs are vampires’.

Simple, yes?

That’s not important though.

But one question still remained in my head.

How did she turn into a vampire?

As long as I remember- none of my sons bonded to her yet.

And the only way for someone to be a vampire is to bond...

But then again...

Anything could happen...

I went out with Hana- but my minds were too occupied with some theories of how this could happen.

There were some little arguments as expected- Hana thought it was because of Luhan...

Which is not.

But thankfully, she calmed down after some time.

After she fell asleep; all of us went to our own rooms.

And I went with my husband to ours’.

“What do you think about this?” he asked once we entered our chamber.

I was silent for some more seconds.

“I’m not that sure,” I sighed.

“First, our sons had bloodlust to her- which was really rare in us Royals. Then, she...became a vampire just like that.”

“You’re right,” he nodded.

“There must be some explanation...” he trailed off.

“Well, there should be,” I rolled my eyes.

“The only one who could make our sons have bloodlust is Soojin...”

Silence fell once again.

Then, we looked at each other with widened eyes.

“It can’t be...can it?” my husband whispered; we were still shocked.

“Then...she’s Soojin...?” I continued.

My husband thought for a while.

“Most likely, yes...” he nodded his head.

“Royals like us are the only vampires who can live our life as a human until our eighteenth birthday,” he began to explain.

“And one month after that, the transformation to be a Pureblood Royal Vampire will take place,” I continued.

My husband and I were once humans too- it all happens to all Royals.

And my twelve sons are included; they were once humans too.

“And when we took her...it was her eighteenth birthday,” my husband stated.

I widened my eyes more.

“It’s been a month since she’s here.”

“Then...” his eyes sparkled with hope.

“She might be Soojin,” I smiled softly.

“I should’ve known it,” he sighed with a little smile.

“Dad won’t marry our sons to a human,” he chuckled.

“He knew all along that Hana is Soojin; but he didn’t tell us a bit,” he pouted.

“Honey, you’re old- pouting doesn’t fit you,” I pinched his cheeks.

“Yah! Don’t pinch me!” he slapped my hands away.

“Anyway, how are we going to make sure that Hana is really our niece?” I asked; obviously ignoring the last sentence.

“No idea,” he shrugged casually.

I poker faced and punched his arms.

“Hey! That hurts, woman,” he scowled like a child.

Like seriously- he’s childish than Sehun.

And Sehun is my youngest son.

“Nice remark,” I rolled my eyes at him playfully.

But whatever~

I still love him nevertheless.

“Hold it- I’m serious; I don’t know what to do.”

And that’s the cue to a mental face palm.

“You’ve been searching for her for years, but you had no idea on how to make sure that she’s her?!” I stared at him with disbelief.

“Oops~” he sing-sang.

I glared at him; and he withered under my laser gaze.

You know what they say- outside, the husband is the leader; but inside, the wife is the leader.

“Okay, okay! I have a way,” he exclaimed as he raised his hands in defense.

“But,” he said sternly.

“No one will know of who she is right now; not even our sons.”

I nodded- I don’t want to tell my sons when we’re not sure anyway.

And also, because it will be dangerous.

If anyone knew that Soojin is back; people would want to hunt her down because she’s the only Royal female left aside me.

Okay- not many people.

Just my husband’s cousin.

They wanted the throne so bad; to the point they’d do anything...

And they might just kill Soojin- because that meant my sons won’t be able to marry and continue the throne.

Chen

Just like my brothers; the same question lingered in my mind.

How in the effin hell that she turned into a vampire just like that?!

It’s creepy- to the point I couldn’t sleep.

Not even a second- my brain just continued to work.

And the result; my eyes were like Tao’s in the morning.

I walked out of my room when I finished doing my daily routine.

And all twelve of us got out at the same time.

And more over- all of us were having Tao’s eyes.

Except for Tao himself- his eyes were way worse than ours.

So...the problem haunted them to sleep too.

Without our usual morning greetings, we just went to the dining hall with silence.

And when we were there, the ex-human girl was talking with mom and dad.

And she was smiling.

...

Dude.

How could she be this happy?!

Didn’t she worry about how all this happened?!

We settled down while sending wary glances at her- afraid that she’s only displaying a façade right now.

And she’d explode soon.

But...nothing happened.

Not even until when we’re in the middle of breakfast.

I glanced at mom and dad- and they’re both happy, not...confused like yesterday.

So...they’ve figured it out?

Thanks God then.

We continued to finish our breakfast while waiting for my parents’ explanation.

And waiting.

And waiting.

And waiting...

GAH!

WHY AREN’T THEY TALKING ABOUT IT?!

I was about to flip the table literally, when mom and dad finished their meal and went out of the scene.

Couldn’t handle the confusion- Xiumin-hyung was the first to ask.

“Hana, you’re okay?” he asked.

...

Mental face palm.

Hyung; that’s not what we want to ask.
