Chapter 15: Intruder And Identity.

Time passed by, and we’re all gathered in the dining room once again.

It’s lunch time, so yeah.

I looked around, and noticed that...Tao-hyung’s missing.

Along with D.O-hyung.

So...

I guess no one had seen the two of them since the incident this morning.

But I do hope that our Gucci-lover is safe.

He has the most useful power- time control.

Not long after we settled down in the dining room, delicious smell of the food came into our nostrils.

D.O-hyung and Tao-hyung came inside from the kitchen.

I raised a brow at the two of them.

Tao-hyung’s not injured...

And D.O-hyung’s temper is bad.

So...this sight is new.

Tao-hyung pissed D.O-hyung off, and he came out uninjured.

That meant...

I grinned mentally.

There’s some other exciting punishment.

The others were eyeing them with curiosity and suspicion.

I guess they’re all having the same thoughts as I am.

Tao-hyung slumped down beside me, whereas D.O-hyung served the meals himself.

However- he skipped Tao-hyung’s meal.

Tao-hyung was beyond mad- it’s all written on his face.

“Hyu-”

“Shush, Tao,” D.O-hyung shushed him.

Tao-hyung zipped his mouth, and D.O-hyung went back to the kitchen.

Not long after, he came back with...the burnt food.

He put it in front of Tao-hyung.

And the panda definitely panicked.

“YAH HYUNG!”

D.O-hyung glared at him.

“Did you just ‘yah’ me?”

“What is this?!” Tao-hyung shrieked like a girl; obviously ignoring the owl’s question.

“Your lunch,” the owl replied casually.

We stared wide-eyed at the burnt food.

That’s definitely inedible, alright.

And do remind me to never piss him.

“WHAT?!” he exclaimed.

“YOU MAKE ME MADE THESE DELICIOUS FOODS, AND YOU’RE NOT LETTING ME EAT THEM?!”

Our eyes widened even more- these meals are made by the panda?

He couldn’t cook...

No; his cooking skills are definitely more horrible than Kris-hyung.

“Yes- that’s what you get for messing up with me,” D.O-hyung growled.

“Kyungsoo, don’t be a child,” a voice came from the dining room’s entrance.

“Let him eat the food he made,” mom continued.

“But he burnt the food I cooked,” D.O-hyung whined.

Mom, however, only gave him her signature glare- and he withered down.

With a scowl on his face, D.O-hyung gave another unburnt meal to Tao-hyung.

The panda began to dig in his food- not giving a in the world about the laser beams from the owl.

Desperate and defeated, D.O-hyung sighed.

And suddenly, Hana laughed.

We all looked at her with raised eyebrows.

“Don’t tell me she’s gone insane?” Sehunnie mocked.

Mental face palm.

He still dared...

“She’s already insane alright,” Kris-hyung snorted to the side.

That giraffe hadn’t learned his lesson...

Hana stopped laughing immediately, and gave a deadly glare to the baby.

“Hunse, shut up,” she growled.

And that made Sehun cower down.

Then, she averted her gaze to the dragon- who’s looking anywhere but her violet eyes.

“Oi, giraffe,” she called.

And idiotically...Kris-hyung snapped his head to her.

That idiot hyung.

“You admit that you’re a giraffe,” she smirked.

“Wh-”

“Shut up, or your pants will be the next victim,” she threatened, cutting Kris-hyung in the process.

I could see Luhan-hyung stiffened in his seat; while Kris-hyung...widened his eyes in horror.

She smiled in victory, and we continued to eat.

“Anyway, what’re you laughing at earlier?” Xiumin-hyung decided to ask.

“Oh, nothing much,” she replied casually.

“I was just thinking of where you got your short-temper genes from; both your parents aren’t that short-tempered...they’re really sweet,” she continued.

Some of us choked on our food- including me- and we stared at her in disbelief.

I gave her a ‘dude, go check your brain’ stare.

“SWEET?!” I shrieked.

Mom gave me a glare, and I whimpered inwardly.

“Uh...yeah...they...are...” I mumbled incoherently.

Dad smirked.

“Yeah,  I wonder that too.”

Ugh.

Those evil parents.

After that, nothing...special happened.

And our dinner went normally too.

After dinner, I went to my room.

But when I was about to close the door, I saw a shadow passed by.

Quickly opening my door, I glanced left and right.

However, there’s nothing- and no one.

Shrugging, I went inside my room.

It must be a hallucination.

But somehow...

My gut said that there was someone.

 

 

 

 

 

Hana

Okay, my question was now answered- vampires do get tired.

I mean- I’m tired now.

After dinner, I went back to my room to end the day.

It’s night anyway, time for my beauty sleep. *flips hair*

Just as I went inside, something felt off.

There’s an unknown scent in my room...

I would’ve known if it’s the Princes or the King or the Queen; or even Krystal.

And they’re the ones who dared to go to my room uninvited anyway.

But this one...I don’t know this scent.

...

...

.

Someone sneaked into my room.

 

Hana

Whose scent is this?

I kept on asking myself, but I couldn’t remember anyone.

Then, I looked around to find if something’s missing or whatnot.

And fortunately, nothing’s missing.

However, there’s something new.

There’s an effin note on the bedside table.

And I remembered clearly that I didn’t put any there.

I walked there and sat down on my bed as I unfolded the paper.

WHAT THE BLOODY HELL?!

I stared with shocked eyes at the note on my hands.

Wait...even the word shock was an understatement.

IS THIS A ING JOKE?!

I took some deep breaths to calm myself down.

...

That certain cousin of the Princes was asking for a death penalty.

Dude; he literally broke into my room.

And exo-cuse you; but I am the Princes’ Bride.

Hold it- how did that ’s ty brother even got inside the castle?!

...

OFF WITH HIS HEAD!

Ahem.

I read the note again and again; trying to...believe in the note.

But somehow...I couldn’t.

I know, he wrote that he’d take me back to earth- to my home, to my father; and away from the vampire world.

But let me say this; he’s a ing idiot if he thought that I’ll believe in his words just like that.

For all I know- that guy is really mischievous- along with his family.

The idiot’s father proved it all at the ball days ago.

He’s the one behind the coup d’état- I assumed.

And puh-lease~

Brought me away from the vampire world?

Honey, I’m one myself.

Oh wait... He didn’t know.

Poor that guy; but I’m not going to pity him.

And if I left now...will my father even accept me?

I mean, I’m a vampire now...and he’s a hunter...who knew that he’d kill me, right?

Even though he’s a former hunter; anything still could happen.

And then, there’s the problem about this coup d’état by this sender’s family.

Wait- I have new name for them.

The stupid idiot family.

Anyway~ I won’t let the King and the Queen and the Princes defend the kingdom themselves.

They needed me.

And as long as I could help- I will.

Especially because I’m marrying some twelve certain hot guys.

Shooking my head off the wild thoughts, I gripped on the stupid paper and walked out of my room.

I need to talk to someone- the King and the Queen.

They’ll surely know what to do.

However, I halted once I stepped outside of my room.

Even though I’ve explored this castle for times...the King and the Queen’s bedroom is the one I’m still lost of.

This place is humongous okay- I got lost if I rarely visit the said place.

Thankfully, a maid happened to pass by.

She gave a little bow to me and was about to walk away- but I stopped her.

“Sorry, but can you show me the way to the King and the Queen’s chamber?” I asked her.

She nodded, and showed me the way.

And to be honest- the walk there was awkwardly silent.

She said nothing, and so did I.

I was about to begin a conversation- but we had arrived in front of a double door.

She bowed once again, and then left to who-knows-where.

Gulping slightly, I knocked on the door.

“Come in!” a muffled voice could be heard from inside.

I opened the door, and was greeted by a little yelp along with surprised look.

“Hana?” the Queen asked.

I smiled in response and closed the door as I walked in.

“What brings you here?” the King asked.

“I found this on my bedside table,” I showed the crumpled paper in my hands.

Oops~ guess I gripped it too tightly.

Oh well, not that I give a damn.

The two of them were confused, but the King took it nevertheless.

They read it together- and their faces of shock were priceless once they’ve done reading it.

The King regained his composure whereas the Queen remained silent.

“Aren’t you going to meet him?” he asked.

“Uhh...no?” I answered unsurely.

Did he want to kick me out of here indirectly?!

“He can help you to go back to your dad- your home.”

“And being hunted by him? No thanks, I don’t want to be dead this early,” I mumbled.

But they clearly heard it.

“And I’m not going to believe this...person; he’s somewhat not trustable,” I shrugged.

The King smiled at my response.

“You made a wise choice- I’m also sure that he’s lying; his family is trying to bring down the royals- and they’ll do anything to get the throne,” he said.

I smiled back.

“Is this the only reason you came here?” the Queen asked.

“Come on, spend some time with us,” she dragged me to a chair.

“Thanks, but I prefer standing,” I pried her hands of mine while smiling politely.

“I kind of tired of sitting all the time.”

The two of them took a seat.

“So...we’ve never had an opportunity to know you,” she began.

“Tell us about yourself,” she requested.

“That sounds like a good idea,” the King nodded.

“Uhh...what should I say?” I chuckled while scratching the back of my neck.

“There’s nothing for me to hide; I’m an open book.”

“Hmm...” the Queen hummed as she thought of another question.

“Tell us about your mother,” she finally said.

I fell silent upon that.

Should I tell them?

But...

Oh well; they’ll find out nevertheless.

“I never knew her,” I answered with a shrug- as if it was a normal thing.

Well, it was in my life.

“Wait, what do you mean?” the King raised a brow in confusion.

“Didn’t your father tell you about your mom?”

“Uhh...he’s my foster father, actually- the former hunter. I was adopted at a very young age; and my guess is his wife died before he even adopted me...”

My heart felt heavy at the last sentence.

Adopted...

Orphanage...

I closed my eyes for some seconds to get the bad memories away.

They’re more than worse- those things that happened to me at the orphanage.

The King and Queen both noticed my little action, and their eyes softened immediately.

“Please, don’t pity me...” I said quickly before anyone could utter a word of ‘sorry’ or some sort.

“I’m a strong girl,” I tried to lift the dull atmosphere.

Their lips cracked into a smile.

“That explains your iceberg exterior,” the Queen remarked, making me and the King laughed.

“Maybe it does.”

We continued our talk- and the topics were jumbled here and there.

And I roamed around the room too- walking is better than standing still; it gave you less tense.

Suddenly, my eyes caught a stone that’s enclosed in a beautiful glass case.

“That stone was created by a royal magician long time ago,” the King said- and his voice came from beside me.

Startled, I jumped slightly.
