Chapter 10: Too Many Unexpected In One Day.

The meeting with the officials just now was...

Ugh.

I don’t know how to describe it.

They’re really impatient.

And demanding too.

But they did good job though.

They told me that a clan was preparing a coup d’état against us; the royals.

And no way in hell I’m letting that happens.

So I asked for their suggestion on what should be done; and it appeared that the traitorous clan also asked for a treaty.

They want us to reveal Hana’s presence, and if we did, they won’t do their uprising.

Their request sounds simple, yes.

But it’s not, actually.

I mean, you know Hana, right?

Then you’ll know my problem here.

Le sigh.

 

 

 

 

 

The Queen

I was lounging around in the garden, when my husband came back from the meeting.

He always told me about what they talked about, and the result.

He told me what they talked about - the uprising and the demand.

And then the result- Hana is going to be introduced to the whole kingdom.

Like seriously, they should know Hana for real, and maybe they won’t be that excited for her.

Just maybe...

I mean, they really, really want to have a Princess again.

Even to the point that they’ll do an uprising against us.

Sigh.

Asking for Hana’s approval is going to be really hard.

 

 

 

 

 

Hana

Wait, whut?

I dare you to say that again, you lady vampire.

And it seems like she heard my mind.

“We’re going to introduce you to the people,” she said once again.

...

Took me a whole minute to fully absorb what she said.

And I almost literally flip the bed when I did.

“WHAT THE BLOODY ING HELL?!” I shrieked.

Inhale, exhale.

I glared at the Queen once again, my respect is long gone.

She ran a hand through her hair.

“We wouldn’t do it if it’s not for the people, Hana,” she began to explain.

“A clan was planning for a coup d’état, and we can’t afford that to happen. And to avoid that, they asked for you to be introduced to the mass. So we had no other choice,” she casted an apologetic look.

“Fine,” and my ing mouth just had to act without my brain’s approval.

Her face brightened up immediately, and she hugged me.

“Thank you so much, Hana,” she beamed and headed to the door.

“But I’m not marrying any one of them.”

“It’s okay!” she’s too happy to actually understand what I said.

“Oh, and the introduction will be in the form of a ball,” she winked and skipped out of the room.

I, Kim Hana, the human, will be in a room full with I don’t know how many vampires for a night.

When that statement down on me after more minutes passed, I was close to flip the whole kingdom.

 

 

 

 

 

Sehun

Okay, I shall blame everything that happened to my favorite brother, Luhan the deer.

And the whole room was like wtf when mom told us that.

We were guessing that she would throw tantrums again like when she was first here weeks ago- I mean, she screamed.

And her screaming was contradiction to the result.

Luhan-hyung really did take too much blood from her.

Well, we do need her to agree- we don’t want some idiots to rule over the kingdom.

“But she said she didn’t want to marry any of you,” mom sighed.

“Who wanted to?” Luhan-hyung snorted, making mom glared at him.

“Lu, shut up,” she growled, sending shivers down our spine.

“I knew theoretically that deer are air headed, but you don’t really have to prove it,” she snarled.

And all eleven of us laughed.

Luhan-hyung was staring at mom with mouth agape though.

I could guess what he was thinking.

‘She’s contaminated with the ’s syndrome.’

But we only laughed harder.

Well, he kind of projected his thoughts, so yeah, we heard it.

Oh, and mom’s eyes were now piercing through his skull.

“What are you laughing at?” the source of the newly found virus appeared uninvited.

“Nothing, just proving that deer are indeed air headed,” mom answered.

“Oh! You shouldn’t waste your time with that,” she had this evil aura around her once again.

“It will get lost in the air inside its head before reaching its’ almost invisible brain,” she shrugged while sending a smug look to Luhan-hyung.

Well, this will definitely change the history.

The past of ‘human hunting deer’ might change in just some seconds.

“What?” three minutes passed with Luhannie-hyung glared scathingly at the human.

“Nothing,” this time, he’s the one who had evil smirk on his face.

The devil Luhan-hyung is here.

“I just thought that the dress would have been good looking if the one’s wearing it was bestowed with beauty,” he encountered back.

Ouch.

That hurts.

Some of us laughed- the ones who aren’t her colonies.

AND WHAT THE ACTUALL ?!

SUHO-HYUNG TOO?!

This is going to be .

The bipolar calmest angel-most evil devil is now on her side.

Not good at all, let me tell you.

Oh, and she said nothing back.

Hehehehehe.

Guess she’s out of mocking sentences.

“Good job hyung,” I praised Luhannie-hyung.

And that was a very, very wrong move.

She glared at me.

Luhan

I’ll say this in everyone’s place.

Sehun...

Is really stupid.

Wait, he’s even more than that.

His idiocy is beyond that idiot Yoda.

I know he’s happy that I made cat bit her tongue- everyone that isn’t her colonies are; I could tell by their faces.

And he... just had to voice that out.

Two words.

Stupid idiot.

Yeah, two in one.

And he’s a stupid idiot for two reasons too.

First, he pointed that out- making her glare at him.

And he knew ing well what could happen- not to mention that she has more allies now.

It will be worse than what happened to me, Kris, and Kai.

And secondly, he helped her.

I was having my moment of victory, and she was grieving for her lost.

But he just had to –subconsciously- help her getting out of her grieving.

She’s now glaring at him- which meant that she was over her losing phase.

Simply...stupid.

And idiot.

No words could describe him more.

“Right, he did a good job huh?” she taunted Sehun.

I looked at him, and he was gulping in fear.

Clearly shown in his eyes.

I could only sigh –silently- at his own stupidity.

Poor Sehunnie.

 

Sehun

SOMEBODY FRIGGIN CALM THE HUMAN DOWN!

She is proceeding towards me right now.

And she didn’t stop at one meter distance.

Not even when she’s an arm away.

Not even when our knees were touching.

Oh right, she’s standing up, while I’m sitting down.

And our height... were almost the same.

She’s even shorter than the shortest of us *cough* Suho-hyung *cough*- no wonder.

And now...

I could feel her breath on my face.

I gulped once again.

And she raised her hand.

OH . OH .

ANYTHING BUT DAMAGING MY FLAWLESS FACE.

I closed my eyes in complete fear.

She really scared me now.

A second later, I felt pain on my nose.

“Ouch!” I opened my eye; and my hands immediately flew to my nose to rub the pain off.

She flicked my nose.

It ing hurts.

But thanks God though- she’s not giving that much damage.

Or she’ll pay.

I looked up- remember that I was sitting down- and she was still glaring at me.

Why the am I intimidated by this certain human?

“I see that you hate the fact that I’m forgiving you for making Luhan drank my blood huh?” she said in a calm tone.

Deadly calm.

And I knew right then that hell’s going to break loose.

She had actually forgiven the fact that I was the cause for Luhan-hyung drank her- but I just had to boil her blood again.

Ugh.

Nice move, mouth.

I darted my eyes to my brothers.

But they ignored my pleading eyes.

Instead, they gave me ‘you-deserve-it’ look.

“L-lo-look, Ha-Hana,” I stuttered.

Wait.

Why did my mouth says her name?

Dear mouth, please go to hell.

“I’m looking at you now, baby boy,” she looked at me with a bored face.

Ugh.

How I want to punch them.

Subconsciously, my mouth act before my brain approves, again.

“Of course you are,” I my mouth scoffed.

“Who won’t? I am handsome,” I my mouth smirked.

“PFT-” she laughed.

I don’t remember I ever tell a joke.

“Maybe you are,” she calmed down from her laugh.

“But in my opinion, handsome is definitely far away from what you really are.”

And that’s it.

My last string of patience.

“You never learn your lessons, do you?” I stood up, towering over her.

She stepped back instinctively.

“Right?” I inched closer to her, while she kept on moving back.

Her face was showing fear.

“Right?” I asked a bit louder, but she didn’t flinch.

The whole room was silent; I knew that they’re also afraid of what will happen.

I’m hot-tempered; and I’m worse than Kai-hyung.

But what do you know, she just smirk back.

That’s it bish.

You’re going down.

Her back collided with a wall, and the smirk faltered slowly.

Be scared of me, you human.

By now, I was merely centimeters away from her.

I lowered my head, and settled my mouth on her ear.

“I can’t wait to taste the sweet liquid flowing through your veins,” I whispered dangerously.

“I’ll make sure you’ll die before that happens,” she gritted her teeth.

I moved my mouth to her neck, and I could feel her stiffen.

“Do you forget...that I’m definitely stronger than you?” I opened my mouth.

“STOP!” mom yelled, making me straighten up and looked down on her once again.

She threw her head away, but I swore I saw tears glistening on her eyes.

And...

It wrenched my heart a little.

“Can’t you guys get along?” mom glanced between me and the human.

“Hana, you’ve agree to this; that means no more backing away. But if you’re like this...” she shook her head.

“No more playing around, please,” she pleaded to the human.

“And all of you,” mom hissed at the twelve of us.

“No more fighting with her,” her voice was stern.

For the nth time today, my mouth acted on its own.

It scoffed.

“Sehun,” she growled.

“Go to your room,” and my feet gladly brought me out of hell.

 

 

 

 

 

Suho

Trust me when I said that I almost jumped and charged at Luhan-hyung for insulting Hana.

His argument is simply invalid.

I mean, look at her!

She’s really beautiful.

That long, wavy and soft hair; that eyes that always sparkled beautifully when she’s happy; that small face that fit her petite figure- everything about her is breathtaking.

Who won’t swoon over her?

Even I- the one with coldest heart –that’s what my brothers said- do admire her.

Or maybe even more than that.

I hate her before, but not anymore.

And it all changes within a night.

Because of her cooking- fish cakes.

After I finished them, I decided to go to sleep.

But I simply couldn’t.

When I closed my eyes, her face would pop up.

It was as if all I could think about was her.

I didn’t sleep at all last night.

And I was hell tired this morning.

But once I saw her face, my tiredness gone away just like the wind.

Thinking about her made my heart beats faster, and there are butterflies in my stomach.

I thought there was something wrong about me.

But then I knew what was happening.

And when I admit that, I felt at ease.

I, Suho- Kim Joonmyeon, the fourth eldest Prince of EXO, had fallen in love with my arranged bride, Kim Hana, the Human.

And it’s neither puppy love nor monkey love- this love is deep.
