Chapter 7: The Blushing Owl And His Chic.

Hana

It was night, and I was about to go to sleep, when some footsteps echoed inside my room.

I got up, and was shocked to see the person.

Krystal.

What is she doing?

Anyway, before I could ask, she had sat down on my bed and grinned widely.

Something’s fishy, let me tell you.

“You’re awake.”

“Well duh, your footsteps woke me up,” I rolled my eyes. “What are you doing here?”

“To your blood,” she said evilly.

Wait.

WTF?!

“Don’t you know how alluring your blood is?”

HOLY SHIIITTTTT-

WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?!

“K-Kr-Krys-Krystal?”

“Yes, Hana?” she moved her head to my neck slowly, whereas I was too stunned to give a reaction.

I closed my eyes, knowing that death is going to come to me-

“PFFTT- AHAHAHAHA!”

I peeked an eye open, only to be welcomed by the scene of Krystal laughing her off.

What the...

A light bulb was above my head.

My partner in crime was pranking me.

I jumped off the bed and moved towards her, ready to strangle her.

But she dodged my attack easily.

“WHAT THE HELL DUDE?!” I snarled, trying to reach her neck again.

“Hey, hey, HEY! Calm down you angry bird,” she held my hands, so I couldn’t reach her.

OHOHO.

What did she just call me?

I dare her to say it again.

I glared at her- the glares were beyond daggers and laser beams.

But I couldn’t handle it anymore- I rolled on the floor while laughing.

She laughed with me too.

And soon, our laughter died down.

“Well, someone needs to prank you too,” she smiled smugly.

“Two can play the game,” she wiggled her eyebrows.

Haha.

Funny.

“I hate you,” I scoffed and glared at her again.

But she ignored the laser aimed at her, and rolled like a buffalo once more.

“You should’ve seen your face!” she said between her laughs.

I couldn’t help but to chuckle and laughed again.

I’ve always wanted a friend; and today, I’m declaring her as my first and last best friend.

“You know Hana, you are my first and last best friend,” she smiled sincerely.

“I was thinking the same thing,” I smiled back.

“So~ you came to visit me for doing a crime eh?” I smirked.

She chuckled at my choice of words.

“Nah~ I was just bored, so I decided to disturb you~ You’re lucky though; because if you’re sleeping, I would’ve thrown a bucket of ice.”

And trust me; I shivered when she said that.

Something clicked in my mind.

“Hey Krys,” I called.

“Yeah?”

“How come you’re... not thirsty, around me?”

“Oh,” she blinked a few times.

“I’m not a vampire,” she said casually.

“What? How come I didn’t know?” I scrunched my eyebrows.

“You never ask,” she rolled her eyes.

I just gave my poker face- my eyes were saying ‘seriously’.

She sighed.

“The other maids are vampire, but they were trained to control their lust; so they’re not going to attack you whenever you’re near them.”

“What about you?”

“I’m a fairy; the one and only in this palace~ That’s why I’m assigned to you,” she explained.

“Ooh! So that’s why,” I nodded in understanding.

We continued talking and laughing- not noticing the time.

And when we did, it was dawn.

“Oh my, we’re too engrossed in our conversation,” she looked at the window.

“See you when you wake up~” she stood up and headed to the door.

“Wait! Where are you going?”

“To my room...?” she answered unsurely.

“No, you’re not- you’re sleeping with me tonight.”

She laughed, but nodded nevertheless.

“Okay, I’ll sleep on the couch.”

“Why?” I cried.

“This bed is big enough for us,” I tried to reason.

“I can’t sleep with you; you’re my soon-to-be Princess, while I’m just a-”

“No arguments, you’re sleeping with me, on the bed,” I cut her off.

Knowing my stubbornness, she eventually gave up.

“Okay~ Let’s sleep now,” and we both drifted to dreamland.

Lay

Morning came, and thank God mom didn’t mention any of our... *cough* activity *cough* to dad.

“Where’s Hana?” dad asked.

Ugh. Why does he need to ask that?

“Oh, she’s still sleeping,” mom answered.

Good.

No more torture for today’s breakfast.

“Still sleeping? Pig,” Chen didn’t try to lowered down his voice; earning a glare from mom and dad.

“She’s not sick, right?” worry was written all over dad’s face.

“Of course not; she was talking with Krystal all night long, so she’s tired. They’re both sleeping peacefully right now, so I don’t want to disturb them,” mom squealed.

Oh God.

Please have mercy on us.

Why does mom has to be like this?

Suho

Because the human was nowhere to be seen, we finally had a time to relax.

But somehow, this ‘relax’ thingy felt weird.

Ever since she arrived, we had never felt this peace- she always gave a headache or annoyed the hell out of us or ticked our patience.

But of course, that didn’t mean I want her to be back with the Satan.

I’m actually wishing for her to sleep through the whole day... or maybe a month; or a year... or you know, just don’t wake up at all.

She really tested my patience.

I blew off more than two times already because of her.

That’s a record.

“Prince Suho, it’s lunch time,” a maid informed me.

I nodded and headed down to the dining room.

But as I was on the way there, I saw the maid assigned to her walked down.

Oh dayum.

The devil had woke up.

Ugh. I hope she’s just going to take her meal to her room.

But alas, it was only a hope.

There she was, sitting in her glory beside mom.

Ugh. This is so going to be the longest lunch I’ve ever had.

Once everyone was present, we began to eat our lunch.

When suddenly, she choked on her food.

Because of their friendly terms, Xiumin-hyung immediately gave her a drink.

Wait.

Did he just give...

Baekhyun

Xiumin-hyung gave her a drink, and because of the emergency, she drank it.

But not even a second later, she spurted them out.

And the color was red.

I slapped my own face- that steam bun gave the human blood as a drink.

She gave him a look that says ‘you-will-regret-this’.

Even though I’m sure that Xiumin-hyung gave that accidentally.

Guess their friendship will break as soon as it formed.

Hehehehehe.

And that’s also a payback for calling me a beauty.

Exo-cuse you, but I’m not a beauty- I’m a diva.

But then, Kai just have to scoff.

That idiot.

She turned her head to the dark boy, and shot daggers with her eyes.

But he ignored her and continued to eat his lovely food.

Chicken.

She was furious for being ignored- by a chicken, by the way.

 “You should have mercy on the chicken, you know? You’re becoming one yourself if you kept on eating it. Oh! And don’t forget to grow up some feathers.”

And she just had to hit his nerve.

The second worse devil after Suho-hyung.

Great.

I better go find a shelter before the fourth world war began.

Kai

Seriously.

That steam bun hyung just had to...

Ugh.

I scoffed upon my own thoughts.

And she just had to hear that.

Her glares were the proof.

But I just ignored her.

I mean- puh-lease, my chicken is more important.

And Xiumin-hyung was the one who gave her the blood, not me.

So get that glare away from me, you human.

And she did.

But she mocked me as the replacement.

“What did you say?” I snarled back.

She smirked- because she knew she had unleashed the beast in me.

How I want to slap that annoying smirk from her beautiful face.

Wait.

Did I just think that her face is beautiful?

EWWWWW.

WHAT HAD GOTTEN INTO YOU, KAI?!

“Oh come on,” she rolled her eyes.

“Don’t tell me chickens are deaf.”

Everyone- including mom and dad were stifling their laughter- to no avail.

It’s not even funny, okay.
