“Channie, you are not doing it right,” CL whined as she showed Himchan what to do and how to pose correctly, “You are supposed to give me a back hug while resting your chin on my shoulder, your eyes looking at mine. Just like how we usually do at home. You are not supposed to look at the camera!”

Himchan has done quite a number of photoshoots with B.A.P and although he was very nervous the first few times, he has grown accustomed to it as time went by. Having a photoshoot could be considered as a must in an idol’s life, be it for an album or a fashion spread or even for a good cause. Today, however, was a bit different. It’s Himchan’s first photoshoot with CL as husband and wife, and it was for one of the biggest fashion magazines in South Korea. He could not help but feel extremely nervous. He was also quite flabbergasted at how CL seemed so calm and collected when his heart was doing flips and cartwheels inside.

Himchan huffed a sigh as his wife continued on with her nagging, earning him a couple of apologetic smiles from the staff. CL had not always been like this, though. It’s all because of the hormonal changes she’s facing. In one moment she would be all giddy and excited, only to change drastically at the next. That’s exactly what Himchan had to deal with for the past three months and he couldn’t really do anything other than being more understanding and patient.

“We’ll take a five-minute break,” said the director and CL wasted no time and she started nagging at her poor husband again.

Having had enough, Himchan abruptly pulled her into a hug, trapping CL in his arms. His eyes piercing right through hers, shutting her up. “You really need to calm down, honey. Being all stressed out is not good for our babies,” Himchan said softly as he rubbed calming circles on her back.

“Well, if you listened to the director’s directions well, I wouldn’t even be stressing out like this,” she pouted as her arms instinctively encircled his neck comfortably.

“You are just being the perfectionist you are,” he chuckled before turning to the director who was sitting in front of a monitor just a few feet away, “I did amazing, didn’t I, director-nim?”

CL turned to look at the director with a frown and all he did was laugh. So did the other staff in the room at that moment. “Your husband did pretty well actually,” the director agreed, making her pout in defiance.

“Are you guys ganging up on me now?” CL retorted, cutely frowning as she hit Himchan’s chest with her tiny fist.

Himchan just chuckled and shook his head as he knelt down on his knees so that his face was on the same level as her growing tummy. “Babies, do you hate daddy that much? Mommy keeps nagging at me since morning,” he started to talk to CL’s stomach in a sympathetic voice, earning a few oohs and awws from the staff, “Whatever you’re doing in there, can you be good to mommy and please calm down for a while? Mommy cannot be in a lot of stress. She needs to be healthy for the two of you,” he added before giving her stomach a kiss.

Himchan’s sudden conversation with her baby bump really caught CL off-guard. He’s done it a lot of times at home but the sight of her husband talking to their unborn twins was really cute and heartwarming that it never failed to make her heart race every time. A soft chuckle escaped her lips as she watched Himchan kissing her stomach, gaining his attention almost immediately.

“Finally, your mommy is smiling again!” he exclaimed happily before standing up to give CL a kiss on the forehead, “I guess our babies listened to their father,” he smiled, causing CL to giggle.

“I guess so,” she shrugged, with a tint of blush on her cheeks.

Little did the couple know though, the director was busy instructing the photographer to take photos of their candid moments. They were too cute to pass, and so he thought.

The photoshoot finally ended after two long hours, but that’s only half of their schedule for the day. They still had to do an interview, which might take at least thirty minutes or more, along with a few other things. Himchan was quite worried for his pregnant wife, for he’s afraid that all the work would take a toll on her health. On the contrary, CL seemed peculiarly enthusiastic and cheery like she was on some kind of a happy drug or something.

Her constant change of behaviour was quietly driving Himchan crazy. He wasn’t sure if she normally acted like this while at work, as he has never worked with her at all before, or if everything was the work of her fluctuating hormones. The worried look on his face, however, was soon replaced by a smile when he saw his wife engulfing a truckload of food on the table hungrily. Himchan shook his head in amusement and chuckled, “Babe, I know you are eating for three but you really need to slow down. You don’t want to choke on the food, do you?”

Being her stubborn self, CL just stuck her tongue out to her husband and continued munching on the food like there was no tomorrow. Himchan just heaved a defeated sigh, with a wide smile still displayed on his face. He continued staring at his wife eating, a sight which he found rather adorable, for a few more minutes when a sudden and loud burping sound echoed the whole waiting room. CL’s eyes grew bigger as soon as she realized what she has just done and it took Himchan only a second to burst out into laughter. “Oh. My. God. This is my first time hearing you burp that loud!” he laughed, holding his stomach, “Whatever happened to the baddest female?”

“Channie!” CL cried, trying to stop her husband which she obviously failed as Himchan just ignored her and continued his fit of laughter.

CL was about to kick his leg with her combat boots, but lucky for Himchan, their manager came in just in time to distract her from doing so. “The interview starts in five minutes,” informed the manager, oblivious of the tense atmosphere in the room.

“Jerk,” she mouthed one last time, clearly feeling irritated by her insensitive husband, as she stomped her way out to the restroom to refresh herself.

“What did you do now?” asked the manager, eyeing Himchan up.

Himchan froze on his spot, finally realising that he had crossed the line with his jokes. Yes, he always joked around and even teased CL many times before this, but that was when she wasn’t pregnant – when she was emotionally stable and less sensitive. He should’ve known better, he should’ve been more sensitive, he realised that now. Not wasting anymore time, he immediately rushed towards the restroom and barged in, ignoring the shocking gasps of and disgusted gaze from a few women inside. CL was just as shocked as the other women when she saw a man, which happened to be her husband, inside the bathroom. “W-what are you doing here? This is the ladies’ room, w-what are you blind?” she stuttered.

Himchan just ignored her questions and instead, he glared at the other women, who were obviously still shocked out of their bodies. And as if on cue, the women immediately went out with their heads low, avoiding Himchan’s intimidating gaze. He watched as the poor ladies exited the bathroom before turning back to his frowning wife. He sighed, his shoulders slumped forward as he slowly approached CL. “I’m sorry,” he said softly, to which she just scoffed at.

He heaved another sigh, taking her hands into his and them, while CL just looked at him indifferently. “Look, I admit that I was being such a back there. I really didn’t mean to hurt your feelings, baby. I am so, so, sorry,” Himchan pleaded, slowly snaking his arms around her waist, bringing her closer.

When he noticed that she’s not responding at all, his ultimate weapon – an aegyo parade – broke loose. “You look stupid, you know that?” CL pushed him away, biting her smile, but that didn’t go unnoticed by her husband.

“Oh! Is that a smile that I just saw? I knew you would never win against my aegyo.” Himchan teased as he followed after her, but soon halted when she abruptly stopped walking, almost hitting her back.

CL turned around and glared at him, her face slightly flushed that Himchan couldn’t help but giggle at how adorable his wife was being right at that moment. “Babe, you know I cannot control myself whenever you’re being too cute, don’t you?” he said dangerously ily as he slowly brought her closer to him, ignoring the fact that there were others roaming around the hallway.

Her eyes immediately widened, her heart drumming excitedly against her rib cage. It’s been quite a while since they were intimate and their close proximity, along with Himchan’s sudden confession, really made her feel all tingly inside. CL was too busy undressing her y husband mentally that she didn’t even realise that Himchan’s face was a mere millimeter away from hers, and the next thing she knew, their lips were already locked in a passionate kiss.

“Ahem,” the sound of someone clearing their throat interrupted the couple’s moment, “I hate to in, but you have less than a minute.”

“Such a er,” Himchan groaned, glaring daggers at their manager but the latter just shrugged it off and left, annoying the former even more.

“Come on, Channie. We have to go,” CL chuckled, tugging onto his arms as she forcefully pulled her ually frustrated husband.

“Annyeonghaseyo, I’m reporter Choi from K-Wave Magazine. It is really nice to finally meet the famous couple,” the reporter smiled looking at the couple walking hand-in-hand towards her, the sight was incredibly cute and she could really see the love sparkling in their eyes.

“Annyeonghaesyo, it is nice to meet you too,” CL replied politely before elbowing her husband, who seemed a bit distracted.

Himchan immediately blinked his eyes in surprise as he snapped back into reality.  “O-oh, ne. Annyeonghaseyo, Miss…”

“Choi, Miss Choi.”

“Right, annyeonghaseyo, Miss Choi,” he finally finished his sentence and CL just rolled her eyes as they settled in their seats.

“First of all, I know this is a bit too late but, congratulations on your wedding and of course, on being pregnant.”

“Thank you,” Himchan and CL said in unison, both couldn’t hide their contented smiles and the reporter couldn’t help but to smile as well.

“So, how’s married life?”

The couple looked at each other with an unknown expression and it was Himchan who responded first. “It’s been great. Tough, but really great. I’m happy,” he started; the reporter couldn’t stop aww-ing at the loving gaze Himchan was giving his wife at the time, while she just smiled happily, her face blushing madly.

CL, on another hand, couldn’t stop smiling and her face was slowly getting redder by the second. “It is tough,” she agreed, “Especially when you’re married to a whiny man like him.”

Himchan’s smile suddenly turned into a frown upon hearing that statement but CL just laughed her hear out causing him to be even more annoyed. “Baby, why are you being so mean?!” he whined like a baby.

“You see what I mean?” CL laughed again, and now she’s joined by the reporter,  “I’m sorry Channie, that aegyo of yours wouldn’t work on me this time.”

“Oh, come on! You know you love my aegyo!” he retorted childishly.

He’s right, though. His aegyo is indeed one of CL’s major weaknesses. But there’s no way that she would admit to it so instead, she just rolled her eyes, trying so hard not to burst into laughter again. Teasing Himchan in front of the reporter was rather entertaining and she’s enjoying every bit of it.

The reporter just chuckled, looking at the couple bickering in front of her. “You two are so cute together.”

“Thanks,” CL replied simply and shyly, her face started blushing again.

“So, how did you guys end up together? I mean, were you like set up on a blind date or did one of you ask the other one out and if so, who made the first move?”

Both Himchan and CL looked at each other with wide eyes. There were rumours about their arranged marriage flying around for a while now and they have never really confirmed nor denied the fact. It’s not like they didn’t want to reveal it, though. They just never got the chance to do so. And now that the reporter’s asking how they ended up together made them quite nervous. Finally, it was time to tell the whole world.

“Well, it’s kind of complicated. But long story short, our parents set us up on an arranged marriage and as crazy as it may sound, we both agreed to it.” Himchan said straightforwardly.

The reporter gasped in shocked, agape and her eyes widened, “So the rumour is true!”

“Yes, it is. But I never regretted my decision,” CL replied, looking at her husband with a loving smile.

“Me too,” Himchan nodded in agreement, he too couldn’t help but smile happily as he took her hand into his.

“May I know what made you two agree to the marriage proposal? Was it because you had some kind of a hidden feeling for each other or something?” both Himchan and CL laughed as they were reminded back of what happened, startling the reporter a little bit.

“To be honest, I was really shocked when my parents revealed the news. The funniest thing was that they didn’t even tell me who I was going to marry. I had to find out myself at the restaurant, during our first family meeting,” Himchan chuckled, reminiscing the past.

“You should’ve really seen his face when he found out he was going to marry me. It was priceless!” CL exclaimed, and surprisingly, Himchan just laughed it out.

“Yeah, that was kind of embarrassing,” he shook his head, his face, as red as a tomato, “But hey, you were just as shocked as I was, missy!”

“But still, not as shocked as you were. Your eyeballs were literally on the verge of falling out!” the reporter couldn’t help but to laugh at the couple’s silly argument, they were indeed a happy couple.

“I honestly did not want to marry her at first. I was really shocked. You could say that I felt rather intimidated. I mean, she’s South Korea’s baddest female for crying out loud!”

“Hey, what was that supposed to mean?” CL pouted but Himchan just ignored her and continued with his story telling.

“I’ve always looked at her as a senior whom I respected a lot, nothing more than a role model. But that one morning at Han River, when we had our first heart-to-heart talk about the marriage, she made me realise some things. Things that I couldn’t and wouldn’t have ever realised by myself. And I think that’s when it hit me that she was the one for me, my soul mate.”

“Aww, that’s so sweet,” the reporter clasped her hands together, not able to contain her jealousy of the happy couple, “But, how about you, CL-shi? What made you agree to marry Himchan-shi?”

“Well,” CL paused for a moment and looked at her grinning husband, “I have said on a TV show long time ago that I was not really a dating kind of girl. Don’t ask me why, it is just not my style,” she chuckled.

“Oh really?” Himchan gave his wife a doubtful look.

“Yes, really,” CL rolled her eyes before continuing, “I have already made up my mind that if I ever found the right man, I would immediately marry him. I was equally stunned when my parents told me about the marriage but when I saw him at the restaurant that night; all of my doubts suddenly disappeared somehow. I don’t really know how to explain it but as cheesy as this sounds, I could just feel right then and there that he was my Mr. Right.”

Himchan started making puking sounds jokingly causing CL to smack the back of his head roughly, while the reporter just laughed at their antics. “Wow, I thought these things only happen in dramas. Wow, just wow,” the reporter was pleasantly surprised.

“I thought so, too,” CL said shyly.

“But, why did you keep your marriage a secret?” their hearts dropped upon hearing the question.

“This is a very difficult question,” Himchan took a deep breath before continuing, “It was not our intention at all to hide it from everyone and I think we owe our fans an apology for that. Like we have said, it was an arranged marriage and although we had a good feeling about it, nothing was certain at first. We have just known each other and we were not even in love. I guess what I am trying to say is that we needed more time to know each other better and naturally develop our feelings before letting everybody knows about it.”

“I see,” the reported nodded in understanding.

“And speaking of fans,” CL added, “I think we are both blessed to have such understanding and supportive fans. It is expected that some of them would get mad at us but it was also really surprising to see that a majority of our fans were really being supportive when the news came out. And for that, thank you very much. We will not take this for granted and work harder to make our fans happy and proud of us.”

“Yeah, thank you, guys. We love you!” Himchan started doing heart signs with his hands as if there was a camera in front of them.

“So, now that you’ve disclosed your relationship, does that mean you’re in love with one another?” CL yet again looked at her husband with reddened face.

“Well, can you not see this?” Himchan playfully rubbed CL’s tummy.

“Ah, I get it,” the reporter replied simply, slightly blushing.

“Channie!”

“What? I am just letting her know how much I love you, that’s all,” Himchan snorted innocently, causing the reporter to giggle.

“I hate you, you know that?” CL pouted, poking his tummy quite roughly.

“I am so sorry, she is just being all shy as usual,” he chuckled at the reporter.

“Pabo!”

“I could not help but notice that CL-shi does have a little bit of aegyo,” said the reporter, causing CL to blush even more than before.

She has always had a cute side to her but she only shows them to people who are really, really close to her. So it was understandable that the reporter was a bit taken aback by her cute antics. “Oh, she has a lot of aegyo but that is only for me to see. Hee Hee,” Himchan winked at his wife but CL just rolled her eyes, Himchan was being so childish and all possessive over her.

“I guess so,” the reporter chuckled, “By the way, now that we’re on this topic, do you happen to know the gender of the baby yet?”

Himchan stared into CL’s eyes lovingly and answered, “Nope. We want it to be a surprise, right honey?”

“Do you have any preference, though? Like, do you want to have a boy or a girl?”

Himchan tapped his chin with his index finger, pretending to think really hard. “I, personally, would like to have girls. But having boys is not that bad either.”

“A boy and a girl would be nice, don’t you think, baby?” CL replied cheekily.

“Yes, yes, that would be even better!” her husband agreed excitedly.

“Wait, a boy and a girl?” asked the reporter, slightly confused.

“Oh, I forgot to mention that we are having twins,” Himchan replied with a proud smile on his face.

“Oh my God! That is amazing, congratulations once again.”

“Thank you,” Himchan smiled happily at his wife and gave her a soft peck on the cheek, “Told you I love her,” he said cheekily while CL just rolled her eyes, causing the reporter to giggle.

“Anyways, now that you are married and pregnant, what are your future plans, career-wise? What will happen to B.A.P and 2NE1?”

“Both B.A.P and 2NE1 will still be active, no worries. B.A.P just finished with their Japanese promotion and they are now back in the studio for another album. So BABYs, you better prepare your ovaries!” both Himchan and the reporter were extremely shocked at CL’s choice of words.

Himchan shook his head and regained his composure before agreeing, “Yeap, we are releasing a new album soon. And there will be a surprise collaboration too!”

“Oh, is that so? Can you explain any further?”

“I am really sorry but the only thing I could say for now is that there will be a collaboration with a very famous, female idol!”

“I really cannot wait for that! And I believe the fans will be excited too! What about 2NE1? Will your pregnancy affect the group, CL-shi?” the reporter clearly couldn’t contain her excitedness by this time.

“As for 2NE1, we will also be back in the studio pretty soon,” CL started to explain calmly, “We will release a few digital singles before I take my maternal leave for a couple of months. But don’t worry, the other three will still be active while I am away. Bom eonnie and Minji will both promote as solo artists and I will help produce their songs so I will not really be on a break, anyways. Dara eonnie, on the other hand, is finally preparing for her very first drama role, so look out for that, Blackjacks!”

“Oh my God! I guess Blackjacks are going to be excited! Park Bom-shi never disappoints with her solo songs and it is about time Minzy-shi has her solo spotlight too. And the fact that you are producing for them makes it even more exciting! And I think it is not wrong for me to say that pretty much everyone has been waiting to see Dara to act in a drama. Everyone must be really excited!” yeap, the reporter has lost her right mind now.

“Yeah, I guess so,” CL chuckled shyly.

“I know so!” The couple giggled at the reporter’s reaction, she was practically being a fangirl at that moment, “I am so sorry, I was just so excited that I forgot that I am here as a reporter and not as the crazy fangirl that I am,” both Himchan and CL laughed once again, while the reporter was blushing like mad.

“Well, it seems like you are a bigger fan of 2NE1 than B.A.P, ey?” Himchan asked, making cute, sad faces.

“I love both groups, but I cannot deny that I always have a soft spot for 2NE1. Go girl power!” the reporter fist-pumped the air proudly causing the two to laugh at her fangirling moment yet again.

“Thank you so much for supporting us, I will make sure to give you a signed CD the next time our album comes out,” CL promised.

“Oh my God! That would be awesome, thank you”

“Guys, I am still here, you know,” Himchan sighed, rolling his eyes like a diva.

“Oops, sorry. I forgot,” his wife exclaimed teasingly.

“I am really sorry, Himchan-shi. Once a fangirl, always a fangirl,” the reporter chuckled and CL gave her a satisfied high-five, “Anyways, thank you so much for your time. I have a lot of things to ask but I do not want to take so much of your time.”

“No problem. You can interview us again next time,” CL replied politely with a smile.

“I hope so. Thank you once again and take care of your wife, Himchan-shi. You guys are going to be such great parents.”

“Thank you and no problem, you’ve worked really hard today. I hope you will write good things about us! And do not forget to mention that I love my wife with all my heart and soul!”

“Channie! Stop playing around!”

And with that, they ended the first half of their schedule for the day. Both Himchan and CL were happy. Thanks to the adorable, overly excited reporter, their moods got even brighter and they finished their work with happy smiled on their faces.

TO BE CONTINUED.

Author's Note 2: The recent news about the missing Malaysian airline, Flight MH370, was really shocking too. I may not be directly affected by it but I know a few people who have relatives and friends who are on board so it is really heartbreaking. I hope that you would take some time to pray for the passengers and the crew who are on board, and also for the their families and friends who are waiting for them, as well as the search and rescue teams who have been working so hard in finding the aircraft.
