Worlds Collide: The Aftermath
Luhan smiled as he joined the two.
“He’s paying, order away.” Jungah grinned at her friend.
“Mei, is Kris not joining us?” Luhan asked.
At the mention of Kris’s name, Dahae froze, but she just picked up the menu.
“I called him, I think he’s at a meeting or something.” She nodded.
“Right, we’re hosting this year’s Unicef Gala.” Luhan said.
Jungah automatically winced.
“Are you okay?” Dahae glanced at her worriedly.
“Don’t mind her, Dahae. She absolutely loves parties.” Luhan chirped sweetly.
Jungah made a face.
“And I just told the board you would love to spearhead this event too, mei.”
“Why am I even your sibling?” She grumbled.
“You guys still bicker.” Dahae chuckled.
The three started to eat as soon as their food was served. Luhan was chatting with Dahae happily when Jungah felt someone kiss her cheek.
“Sorry, I had to finish up some things.” Kris smiled at her apologetically before sitting down. Dahae looked up then she busied herself with Luhan.
“It’s fine, how was work?”
“How about no.” Kris chuckled. Jungah stuck her tongue at him briefly.
“It was okay, still expecting you to transfer.”
“Are trying to pirate my sister?” Luhan looked up.
“She’s my wife, I can’t have her work at a different company.” Kris chuckled. Luhan rolled his eyes.
“No, you can’t pirate her.” Luhan shook his head.
“What if I choose to transfer, gege?” Jungah teased.
Dahae smiled as the two began to bicker again, then she felt two eyes on her.
Kris was looking at her.
She swallowed and looked away.
The four stepped out of the restaurant.
“Can you ditch work for me?” Kris asked.
“No.” Jungah said flatly.
“I thought you took a day off.”
“I did, so that I could show Dahae around, why?”
Kris shook his head and just took her hand.
“How about you join us instead?” Jungah smiled at him. Kris shook his head.
“It’s fine, you have a lot of catching up to do.” Kris pecked her cheek briefly.
Dahae looked away as she watched how Kris interacted with Jungah. He was so tender and loving with her and it only brought pain to Dahae’s heart.
“Right, when is your wife due?” Dahae turned to Luhan.
“In eight months.” Luhan smiled proudly. Dahae chuckled.
“But, Luhan oppa, I~”
“Look who I managed to persuade to come!” Jungah turned to them, Dahae and Luhan paused.
“He’s coming with us to Namsan tonight, since Lulu’s gonna drive you home, I’ll pick up later at six, is that okay, Dahae?” Jungah asked.
Dahae could only nod meekly.
“See you later.”
“A house?” Jungah asked as she plopped on the couch. Kris nodded.
“But this place is nice.” She said.
“It’s a condo.”
“Uhm, wow, I didn’t notice…?”
Kris sighed and walked to her.
“I want a home. Not some part of a huge building.”
“I know where this is going.” Jungah narrowed her eyes slightly at him.
“You can’t exactly raise kids in a place like this.” He said.
Jungah rolled her eyes.
“It’s a nice place at Hannamdong.” Kris defended, his eyes widening. Jungah shook her head.
“I’ll show you later.” Kris nodded and planted his lips on hers quickly.
“It’s not fair! You used your eyes against me!”
Kris chuckled.
“Come on, we have to go to Namsan.” He said as he pulled her up.
