"You know that I hate parties right," said Hyoyeon as she stood in front of her boyfriend with her arms crossed in front of her chest.  Her boyfriend Jay Park was a huge college frat boy who loved to go drinking and partying while she would rather sit in her room and play video games all night.  They were complete opposties, but yet they balanced each other out.  

"Come on Hyo, it will be a lot of fun," begged Jay as he gave his best attempt at puppy dog eyes.  Hyoyeon rolled her eyes and shook her head.  She then turned away from him and walked back into her dorm room.  Her roommate, Sooyoung was sitting crossed-legged on the futon that sat underneath Hyoyeon's bed.  

"What is your boyfriend whining about now?" asked Sooyoung as she took another bite of the popsickle that she held in her hand.  She was busy catching up on the latest Vampire Diaries episodes while attempting to do some homework.   Hyoyeon just sighed in response as she walked across the room to her desk.  

"Please Hyoyeon," said Jay as he followed after her.  She sat down at her desk and opened some of her textbooks hoping to get some homework done.  The last thing she wanted to do that friday night was go to a frat party.  Jay then walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her shoulders and rested his head on hers.  "I just want to spend some time with you."

"Then just stay here, we don't need to go to a frat party to be together," replied Hyoyeon. 

"A frat party, is that where you are trying to take my precious Hyo?" asked Sooyoung as she got up from the couch and smacked Jay Park on the shoulder.  "She hates parties and so do I."

"Ow, no need for violence," whined Jay as he let go of Hyoyeon and turned to face Sooyoung. "And you  have no say in this."  He pointed his finger at Sooyoung. 

"I do have a say when she is my most precious and innocent roommate."  The two of them started to bicker and Hyoyeon sighed while putting her head in her hands.  Finally having enough, Hyoyeon stood up from her desk and turned to face the two of them. 

"Stop it you two," said Hyoyeon.  Sooyoung and Jay Park stopped and looked over to Hyoyeon.  "I will go to the party okay."  Jay Park's eyes lit up in glee as he gave Hyoyeon a tight hug.   

"Thank you Sweetie," he said as he kissed her on the cheek.  Sooyoung sighed and rolled her eyes.  

"I will get changed then," said Hyoyeon as she pushed Jay Park off of her.  

"Okay I will wait for you outside."  Jay Park then left the room with an excited skip in his step and he closed the door behind him. 

"You sure?" asked Sooyoung as she gave Hyoyeon a concerned look.  

"Don't worry, I will be fine," replied Hyoyeon as she patted Sooyoung on the shoulder.  She then walked over to her closet and sighed.  She didn't really want to go to the party, but she knew that she should go for her boyfriend.  He always went to all the nerdy video game events for her all the time and yet she never went to any of the stuff that he wanted her to go to.  "Besides, he always did stuff for me, so I should be able to do stuff for him."

"But you should remember to not let him to force you to do things that you don't want to."  Hyoyeon sighed and nodded her head. 

"I will remember that, but this is the least I can do for him."  

The music was blaring as the frat house was filled with drunk college students.  She stood there awkwardly dressed in a simple t-shirt and jeans as she did not have anything else to wear.  She felt a little insecure as all the girls were dressed in much more revealing clothing.  Showing lots of skin and Hyoyeon shuddered.  She hated showing skin.  Her own boyfriend hasn't even seen her in a tank top yet and all the girls were wearing pretty much less than that.  She was definitely out of her element.  

"Jay, I'm not sure if this is a good idea," said Hyoyeon as she was holding onto his hand tightly as they just walked through the door.  He squeezed her hand tightly and walked in further, pulling Hyoyeon along.  

"It's alright," he whispered into her ear.  "I will go and get you some water."  He disappeared into the crowd and Hyoyeon felt even more uncomfortable.  She moved herself to a corner of the room and pressed herself against the wall, wishing that she would just disappear.  She closed her eyes and took a deep breathe trying to calm her nerves. 

"Who invited the nerdy girl?"  Hyoyeon opened her eyes and saw that a group of girls were staring her down with confused looks on their faces.  They were all holding red cups and dressed very ty.  

"She must have snuck in," said one girl.  

"Or is some loser's date," said another.  Hyoyeon looked away from them as their comments were hurtful.  

"Hey look,  Jay Park is here," said another girl.  Hyoyeon looked over and indeed saw her boyfriend had come back into the room while holding two red cups.  

"God he is so hot," gushed one girl.  It was ture.  Jay Park was really hot and Hyoyeon couldn't believe that she was dating such a guy especially since she considered herself plain looking.  He made his way over to her, but before he could reach her, one of the girls from the group stepped in front of him. 

"Hey Jay Park," she said with a dazzling smile.  She flipped her hair over her shoulder and Hyoyeon glared at her.  

"Hey Soyou," he replied with a small smile and he then pushed past her without giving her much thought.  Hyoyeon couldn't help but smile a little bit.  Soyou then turned around and looked confused.  

"Here you go," he said once he reached Hyoyeon and gave her the cup.  Hyoyeon looked over his shoulder and saw Soyou glaring at her. "Now that you have a drink, no guy can come up and give you one."  Hyoyeon smiled and took a sip of her water.  It was nice that her boyfriend was understanding of her distaste for alcohol and never pressured her to drink.  

"Hey Jay Park is here," yelled one of the frat guys as he walked over to them with a couple other guys right behind him.  Hyoyeon noticed that they were all really handsome and buff.    

"Hey guys," greeted Jay Park as he greeted his friends with some high fives and bro hugs.  Hyoyeon just stared, not knowing what to do in a situation like this.  It was going to be the first time that she was going to meet his friends.  

"So how do you know Jay Park?" Hyoeyon turned and saw the Soyou girl standing right next to her with her arms crossed firmly in front of her chest.  Her eyes were narrowed at her as if Hyoyeon was a mere insect that didn't belong here.  Before Hyoyeon could answer Soyou's question.  Jay Park grabbed her hand tightly and pulled her towards him.  He wrapped his arm tightly around her shoulders and pulled her into his side.  

"I want to introduce my sweetheart," said Jay Park with a smile on his face.  The group of men's attention then fell onto her and they stared at her in curiosity.  "Hyoyeon these are my friends, Taecyeon, Junho, Chansung, and Nichkhun."  He introduced his friends from the left to right and Hyoyeon gave them a shy smile as she bowed her head. 

"Nice to meet you all," she said kind of quietly.  She wasn't sure if they heard her through the pounding music.  Her stomach twisted in knots as she wondered what they were thinking about her since she wasn't exactly the type that would be with Jay Park.  

"She is so cute," gushed Nichkhun and Hyoyeon felt herself relax a little bit.  

"We finally get to meet the famous girlfriend," said Chansung as he leaned in closer to Hyoyeon, "He would talk about you nonstop and he kept on dragging his feet when we wanted to meet you."  Hyoyeon smiled and looked up at her boyfriend in appreciation.  

"Jay Park, I didn't realize that you had a girlfriend?" Soyou had now joined in on the conversation with a few of her friends standing behind her.  She was still giving Hyoyeon dirty looks.  

"Yeah, he has been talking about her for months," said Junho.  Soyou looked confused. 

"Well he hasn't mentioned anything about her to me," she said as she gave Hyoyeon a smug look.  Hyoyeon felt her stomach start to knot. 

"I don't really talk to you very much Soyou," replied Jay Park.  Hyoyeon couldn't help but smile a little bit as Soyou looked a little surprised.  Jay Park then noticed some other friends across the room and he turned to Hyoyeon. 

"I will be right back okay," he said.  Hyoyeon nodded her head and watched her boyfriend disappear into the crowd of college students.  She took a sip of her water and noticed that Soyou was glaring at her.  

"She isn't even that pretty," mumbled Soyou as she clenched her fists and walked away with her friends.  Those words stung Hyoyeon as she looked down at her outfit.  Did she have to pretty to be with Jay Park?  She suddenly felt very insecure about herself and took another sip of her water, waiting for this day to end.  

A few days later, the two of them were walking by the edge of the public pool.  Hyoyeon was dressed in a white bikini, but she wore a long pink t-shirt over it.  She was never really comfortable with showing skin in public.  Her boyfriend on the other hand had no problem with showing skin as he bore his six pack abs for the whole world to see.  

"Why are you wearing a t-shirt?" he asked.  Hyoyeon sighed and shook her head. 

"You know how I hate showing skin in public."  He just smiled and grabbed her hand.  

"I know."  Hyoyeon smiled and felt her heart flutter while she squeezed his hand tightly.  She then heard a few giddy laughs and she looked over and saw a couple girls in the pool that were checking out Jay Park.  They were smiling and giggling while staring intently at him with hearts in their eyes.  Hyoyeon looked down at her pink t-shirt and suddenly felt uncomfortable.  She didn't look like someone that should be with such a handsome guy.  She felt insecure again.  

"What's wrong?" asked Jay Park.  They stopped walking and Hyoyeon tried to push her feelings of insecurity aside.  She shook her head and gave him a smile, as if nothing was wrong. 

"Nothing," she replied while trying to smile.  He looked at her skeptically.   "Those girls over there keep on staring at you."  Hyoyeon was trying to change the subject.  He looked over and the girls winked at him.  He smiled and then looked back at Hyoyeon.  

"I'm just that amazingly y," he said in his usual cocky voice and bore his charming smile.  Hyoyeon rolled her eyes and let go of his hand.  She then put her hands on his chest and shoved him really hard into the pool.  He fell in with a huge splash and Hyoyeon burst out laughing.  He then surfaced from the water and shook his head.  

"Oh you want to play this game," he said, "because two can play at this game."  He then pushed himself out of the pool.  Hyoyeon screamed and ran away as fast as she could.  She was laughing while running and Jay ran as fast as he could to catch her.  Because she was laughing and screaming, Hyoyeon wasn't running as fast as she could and he caught her pretty easily.  She felt his wet hands grip her shoulders, she struggled to free herself, but he grabbed hold of her.  He threw her over his shoulder easily and she struggled to break free.  

"Put me down," she demanded.  He didn't listen as he walked back over to the pool.  He then leaped into the pool while holding onto Hyoyeon tightly.  She screamed as the water surrounded both of them with a splash.  They both then surfaced from under the water and burst out laughing.  Jay then wrapped his arms tightly around Hyoyeon's waist and pulled her close to him in the water.  She wrapped her arms around his shoulder and placed her forehead against his.  

"That wasn't very nice," said Hyoyeon.  Jay Park smiled. 

"You started it," he replied.  Hyoyeon then smiled and closed her eyes.  She could feel his strong arms holding her tightly and it felt nice.  A moment of silenced passed between the two of them as they kept their eyes closed and enjoyed the warm embrace.  

"Why do you like me?" asked Hyoyeon out of the blue.  It was bothering her, that question.  Jay Park was such a sweet and kind person, why did he choose a girl like her?  

"Where is this coming from?" he asked with a hint of concern as he opened his eyes.  Hyoyeon opened her eyes and shrugged. 

"Just curious."  She was indeed very curious to why he choose to be with her.  "I'm not the most beautiful or the most charasmatic girl in the world, so I just want to know."   

"You think I'm selfish enough to only care about those things?"  Hyoyeon shook her head and sighed. 

"Never mind, forget I said anything."  She tried to push herself away from him, but he held onto her tightly.  

"Why do you keep on doing this? Something is wrong and every single time I ask you about it, you try to hide it."  Hyoyeon stayed silent as she kept her eyes away from his.  Her heart started to beat nervously as he continued to hold onto her tightly.  "Please tell me what's wrong."  Hyoyeon took a deep breath and tried to calm her shaky nerves.  

"It's just that I don't feel like I belong with you.  I'm just not that pretty or that amazing like you are.  I just feel like youare just dating me out of pity."  Hyoyeon still had her eyes down as she held her breath.  She was nervous to hear what he had to say.  He grabbed her chin and turned her head up towards him, making her look at him.  His dark eyes were staring at her intently as she felt his hold on her loosen slightly.   He then kissed her softly and for a long period of time.  Hyoyeon could feel her heart flutter and he squeezed her tightly again.  He pulled away and then rested his head on her shoulder while still holding onto her tightly in his arms. 

"You belong with me.  I cannot picture anyone else more beautiful or amazing than you," he said.  Hyoyeon felt her heart swell as she felt as if she was falling more in love with him.  

"You sure about that?" she asked in a quite voice.  Jay then kissed her lightly on the forehead and the rested his forehead against hers.  His dark eyes stared deeply into hers.  

"You are my sweetheart and nothing can change that."
