Promises before we part
In love with Miss Imposter
Jooyeon took her bicycle and rode it into town. She glanced at the address in her hand and rode faster.
Soon, she arrived at a large formidable mansion, though less fancy than the Choi residence, it was still something tonlook out for.
She took a deep breath and rang the doorbell.
A maid came to open the door. "Annyeonhaseyo! Who are you looking for?"
"Taemin. Lee Taemin, your young master." Jooyeon said.
"And you are?" the maid asked.
"Choi Sulli." Jooyeon bit her lips.
"Okay. I'll inform Taemin young master and I'll be right back." The maid smiled.
The maid disappeared and soon Taemin ran out to meet her. "Sulli ah! Why are you here!" he asked, a pleasant smiled plastered on his face.
"I.. I wanted to see you before the engagement." Jooyeon bit her lips.
Taemin smiled, bursting with happiness. "You missed me right! Hah! I knew it!"
Jooyeon looked away and blushed. Taemin chuckled at her embarrassed face and took her hand, leading her into the mansion.
"Come on, I'll get you something to drink!" Taemin gestured her to a small table in the garden.
Jooyeon stopped him and made him sit. "There's no need to. I just wanted to talk to you about few things."
Taemin nodded and took the seat opposite of hers.
"Taemin ah, can you promise that you'll not abandon Sulli?" Jooyeon asked.
Taemin chuckled and took her hand. "Of course I won't!"
Jooyeon nodded. "And promise me you'll treat Sulli well in the future when you get married."
Taemin caressed her face and stared into her eyes. "Do you not trust me? Do you think I'm still in love with Suzy? Because I'm not."
Jooyeon shook her head. "No. But Taemin please just promise me."
Taemin nodded. "Don't worry I'll treat you well."
Jooyeon shook her head again. "Don't say you, say Sulli."
Taemin looked at her strangely. "Why are you speaking as if you're not Sulli? Oh alright. I promise I'll treat Sulli well."
Jooyeon bit her lips, blinking back tears. "And lastly, please promise that you'll have a happy life with Sulli."
"I promise." Taemin assured.
Jooyeon nodded. "Good." she smiled. *Now, I'll be able to leave in peace."
"What's up with you today?" Taemin asked. "Do you need a gummy bear?"
He took out one from his packet and fed it to her.
"Nice right! Better than candy floss right!" Taemin grinned.
Jooyeon chuckled and nodded.
Taemin smiled. "I'm glad you're smiling. You seem stressed today. You never talked to me about the marriage like this before. Is something bothering you?"
Jooyeon shook her head. "It's nothing. It's just... Nerves."
Taemin smiled and pinched her cheeks. "Aigoo.. You're so nervous to be engaged to me? Then what will happen when it's our wedding?"
*I won't be there to see it anyway.* Jooyeon thought sadly.
"Taemin ah.. Why.. Why did you agree to the marriage all of a sudden?" Jooyeon asked. "I thought you were against it from the beginning?"
Taemin grinned. "Isn't it obvious? It's because I lo... Hmmm wait. I should tell you this tomorrow during the engagement party."
Jooyeon's face fell. *Then I won't be able to hear it forever.*
Suddenly, thunder cracked loudly and rain started to fall.
"Aigoo! Why did it rain all of a sudden!" Taemin yelped. "Come on Sulli ah! We must get you to a shelter quick! I can't afford you getting sick when tomorrow's our engagement party!"
Taemin took Jooyeon's hand, but she remained stationary.
"Sulli?" Taemin turned round, only to find Jooyeon crying.
"Sulli ah!" Taemin rushed to her side. "Why are you crying!"
"Taemin ah.." Jooyeon smiled. "Let's run in the rain."
Taemin's eyes widened at the memory.
"I really want to try running in the rain."
"You should try, it's really fun!"
Jooyeon gazed at him and pleaded. "Please? Taemin... Oppa?"
Taemin broke into a smile of pure happiness and nodded.
