Author's POV

It was Saturday, the sunlight slowly creeps through the window, gently touches the skin of the person who is fast asleep on her bed. The person slowly rubs her eyes as the sunlight reaches her eyes, signing her to wake up, a lazy yawn came out from as she dragged her body to reach the bedside table grabbing her phone, checking it if there is any notification came in.

One message from Victoria Unnie

The girl jumps immediately as she saw the notification and she read the message that Vic invites her to meet up in coffee shop near their campus by 10am because she has something to talk about. The girl look at the clock, 9.30am, she runs as quickly as possible to the bathroom to wash up and change clothes to a decent one before rushing downstairs.

"Whoa whoa.. Slow down Krys. What's wrong? Why are you rushing?" The older sister asked in confused as she saw her baby sister running here and there preparing herself to go

"Vic unnie asked me to meet up with her at the cafe nearby our campus by 10am. I just read the message this morning! It's 9.45am now!! I have to rush!!" Krys running to get her shoes while combing her hair

"Want me to drive you there? I'll have a date with Yuri at the restaurant not so far from the cafe before we're going to the cinema." Jess offered while putting her empty cup of tea on the table as she gets up and grab her car keys

"That will be great unnie! Thank you very much!!" Krystal beams her charming smile before hugging her older sister

They both are going with Jessica's car. 9.59.55 Krystal arrived in front of the cafe, she rushed into the cafe to find Victoria, fingers crossed that Amber will be there too, she missed her already. Her heart beats faster when she thought about Amber, her cheek slightly flushed. She saw Victoria and walks to the table, not finding Amber beside her. She slightly disappointed with it, earning a light chuckles from Victoria.

"I know you wish for Amber to be here with me but please bear with me for the next hour maybe? I am sorry to disappoint you." Victoria said making Krystal a bit taken aback with her words, surely she is a bit disappointed but is she making it way too obvious? She feels like she is being impolite to behave like that so she apologize while bowing 90 degrees. Victoria said she understand the feelings and just let out a small laughs. Victoria ordered a hot cappucino with a butter croissant while Krystal ordered her favorite mango pudding. 

"So I invite you because I want to tell you something that I think will affect you in some degree. I already met Suzy right before I met you and she already knew about this news. She didn't take the news quite well, but I think you will give more or less the same respond, knowing you're Jessica Jung's sister." Krystal's body started to tensed up, her brain cannot keep up with all the possibilities that Vic would said and everything related to Amber, her palm started to sweats as she gets nervous. Victoria paused a bit to notice Krystal's nervousness, she put her hand on top of the younger to help her relaxed a bit "relax, Amber is not dead nor having any critical injuries or something if that's what you think. She is at the university's hospital at the moment, said that she needs to talk with one of the teacher for a bit so I decided to wait her here." Victoria take a deep breath before calmly said "I just want to tell you that we will move back to US promptly. The kind of our promptly is within a month, or as fast as we finished with all the legal documents to move back to US which can also be less than a month. I am telling you this because I feel like I have to tell you this, knowing that you like my sister quite a lot. And you're also one of the person who actually dare to approach us, well Amber, and Amber didn't shut you down right away, which for me means that tiny parts of her maybe care about you and Suzy. So yeah." Victoria gave a slightly sad smile while breaking the news to Krystal. "Also I think I need to tell you this because of your last time encountering my sister, she said something about you promising not giving up on her easily so I assume this news will definitely affect you."

"Oh..........." There was a long paused from Krystal as she looks like having a conflicted feelings within herself, she stare blankly to the unattended mango pudding, usually she will devour that mango pudding quickly but after hearing the news, she lose all of her appetite and feels frustrated. 

"Hey, Are you okay?" Vic asked concerned, squeezing Krystal's hand gently

"Ah... I.. Don't really know.. How to respond.. Can I.. Maybe know the reason?" Krystal stare coldly to Victoria, giving her shiver to her spine

"Well at least you are more responsive than Suzy, she just stayed quiet for half an hour before I text Jia to bring her home due to her shocked condition. Hmm.. How to explain this to you.. Someone has been looking for us for several years and we don't really want to be found by him. Recently, he manage to find us here so our parents decided to have us back at the US for safety purpose." Victoria tried to explain as brief as possible, not wanting her to know much more deeper about the situation they're dealing with because it might also make them vulnerable to his threat. 

"Ah.. I see.. You can't tell the police about it and let them handle the situation?" Krystal asked carefully, not wanting to make Victoria felt like she is pushing her way to make them stay

"It's something that the police couldn't really handle, and I think you got a slight idea how serious the problem is. You know how police and laws works here better than I do, there are just some things they can't do." Victoria said seriously "don't.. even think to do what you did for us back then. Just don't. Amber will be flipping mad at me if something happened to you because of our problem. This person is someone that you just don't want to mess around with." Victoria point her index finger on Krystal's nose while saying it sternly means she is dead serious about it

"Okay I promise I won't do such thing. But.. Until how long will you have to play this chasing game with that person? Even though he is untouchable, there must be something you can do to cut yourself lose from his chase right..?" Krystal acknowledge that the person they might be dealing with them is those who are in higher rank or a mafia or someone that has a lot of money even to buy the police's words. It will be a hard thing to do to escape from that kind of person but it is still possible

"We're trying our best to do that but in the mean time, all we can do is run." Victoria let out a bitter chuckles

"Are you a member of a mafia gang or something unnie..?" Krystal asked innocently, trying to deduct all the possibilities she has in mind on why they got chased like that. Victoria burst into a laughter before she answered her question "we are not a bad guys. Let's just say that we're involved in something we didn't want or expect to have in our ordinary life. Born in the wrong place and in a wrong time. The less you know that matter, the better. I don't want that person harm you or chasing you too for knowing too much. I am serious, Krystal Jung, when I said don't mess up with this person." Victoria warned again

"Yes Victoria unnie. I understand. I will stay away from it although I really want to help you but I know this is something higher than my law skill can handle right now, but I promise that I will study harder so I can get you away from it in the future if this
