Amber's POV

My head is throbbing. What just happened? I opened my eyes slowly and feel myself laying on the queen sized bed, the bedsheet is messy as if someone just lay down beside me. Last time I remember, I was having a glass of water and I was tied on a chair then I saw him.

"No.. It can't be..." Horror strike my conscious as if I am going back to that moment again. Did he finally captured me again? Did he drugged me and sell me to someone as slave? No this can't be it!

I checked on my clothes, it has changed into simple lose white t-shirt and short pants. Someone must've changed my clothes, I didn't remember wearing this. I look around and started panicking, trying to find anything to break free from here. I heard a footstep getting nearer and nearer, I grab the bedsheet and stand up in my defense position, ready to face whoever that will enter the room. The door opened slowly and I saw a familiar figure

"Amber! You're awake! Thank gods! I almost agreed on Yuri's offer to check up on you!" Victoria put down the food tray on the nearby table and runs to hugs me tightly. Why is she here? It is not safe! I must find a way to escape from here, for both of us!

"No.. Jie why are you here?? Where is he now?? He is going to kill us if he found you!! We must run from this place!!" I blabber in chinese and my body stiffen, I can feel the adrenaline rush all over my body, I tried to break the hugs but she held me tightly "jiee.. I know you miss me or something, but we really have to go away from him! I don't want something happen to you because of him!" I muttered softly. She break the hug, gripping on my shoulder tightly and stare into my eyes deeply

"Amber, that man is not here. You are safe here. We are at home, you are in your own bedroom now. Look! That is your medical equipment, that is your book collections, you are safe. Calm down. He is not here okay? No one is going to kill us." She hugged me again but this time, gentler than earlier, she rubs my back softly, I scanned through the room and found my stuffs in here. We are in my bedroom, he is not here. He is not here. I keep chanting on it to calm my nerves, I lean my head on her shoulder, closing my eyes, started to control my breathing. We stayed like that for several minutes before she let go of me and look me in the eyes.

"Must be that horrible nightmare got into you again isn't it? Don't worry okay? I will protect you no matter what. Now let's go sit down on your bed and I will feeds you with your breakfast. I cook you some porridge." She helped me sit down and she grab a bowl of porridge from the tray and sit next to me.

"How long I've been out?" Yes, the headache started to kick in again

"Just a whole day. I already told the teachers that we will not go to campus today because you are not feeling well. You keep screaming and crying, your body started to having a mild fever. I changed your clothes into a more comfortable one since you sweat a lot. I lulled you to go back to sleep like I always do back then so you can have a rest, I did sleep beside you through the night and I hope that's okay with you. I am just worried about you. It's been a long time since you had that nightmare, why suddenly it came back now?" She feeds me carefully with the porridge. I must've look very crappy till she has to sleep beside me and lulled me. I feel ashamed of myself for having her to gone through this thing again. I wonder too, why suddenly now? The thunder was already not a issue since a long time ago, but this thunder was different. It triggers that memory almost instantly.

"I don't know jie. Maybe the thunder wants to tell me something." I muttered softly as I noms on the porridge. My headache is awesome, I massage my forehead

"I'll get you aspirin after you finish this porridge and you can go back to sleep. You're still tad warm." She said while keeps feeding me, I just nodded.

At school, Krystal and Suzy were discussing about their findings at the cafetaria. They also stole glances on the certain empty space at ths corner trying to find the one who always sits there. Luna, Sulli, and Jia were just talking to each others as the unnies arrived at their table.

"Mind if we join you for lunch?" Yuri asked with a big smile on her face. Luna, Sulli and Jia were moving to make spaces for the unnies to sits down. Krystal and Suzy are absorbed in their own little world of greek mythology.

"What's with them?" Sunny asked while pointing at Krystal and Suzy

"Oh, they're just talking about greek mythology which I found it surprising that Suzy also interested in that topic. I thought only Krystal that is still believe in those thing." Sulli answered while savoring her smoked beef sandwich. Krystal and Suzy were just keep talking about the greek mythology on their own while the others were having a random talks about almost everything. Sunny nudge Hyoyeon who sat beside her and whisper something that makes Hyo took a glance on Krystal and Suzy before letting out a small chuckles. Hyo then passed on Sunny's message to the Sooyoung beside her and the message relayed to the whole group except Suzy and Krystal whom pretty much doesn't pay attention towards whatever happened around them.

"Hey Yul, have you heard anything from the Song Sisters? I haven't seen them anywhere." Sunny let out a smirk, throwing the topic to the table while stole glances towards the unbothered duo.

"Ah.. Well.. The last time I heard from the teacher was Amber is not feeling well and Vic is taking care of her. Since they only live together here." Yuri said while emphasizing the words not feeling well with a slightly louder tone. Suddenly the duo straighten their back and looks up towards the informant. They both look surprised and curious upon the fact

"Finally someone interested in the topic we're talking about." Sooyoung said teasingly, earning a laughter from everyone except the two that is now having a slight blush on their cheeks. "Now Jess and Jia, if you want them to listen on what you say, you can always throw Amber's name to the topic and they will definitely listen to you. You two making it way too obvious!" She continued and earning a louder laughter while they're all holding their stomach. Krystal and Suzy just look to the opposite direction, trying to make themselves not too embarassed with the whole situation.

As the laughter subside, they continue munching their lunch while Seohyun continues the current topic that they were talking about before "But seriously, what happen to them? They don't usually excuse themselves from classes just for a mild sickness, they're the type who will still attend classes despite they're having a cold or something." Seohyun said seriously, earning a worried look from Krystal and Suzy

"Vic hasn't told me anything in particular, I did ask her if everything was okay, I offered her to come to her place and check up on Amber's condition, but she just said everything is okay and Amber just having a mild fever and severe headache and she just need a rest" Yuri explaining and showing the text messages between her and Vic. Everyone nodded in ackn
