Taeyeon's POV

 

This is crazy! My mind is still trying to process what have just happened. A few moments ago, everything was alright. Then, I heard someone knocking aggressively on the door. To my astonishment, I found three girls with crossed arms, glaring at me. The next second, the girl in the middle, who looked awfully familiar, commanded the others to attack me. The next moment, the girl in the middle pouced onto me and we fell onto the ground painfully with a loud thud.

 

The other two girls, one on my right and one on my left, secured my hands and legs to the ground. I tried to struggle to free myself from them, but to no avail. The girl sitting on top of me put her whole body weight onto me and with the other girls securing me to the ground, I couldn't move an inch.

 

"Who the hell are these girls and what do they want from me?" I thought as my ribcage felt as if it was going to break any moment.

 

 

"That's for being a byuntae and stealing my bestfriend's first kiss, !" The girl sitting on top of me, barked.

 

"What in the world is going on here? Get off of me!" I screamed as it was getting harder and harder to breathe.

 

"Fany! Are you okay? We've come as fast as we could after receiving your message!" The girl on top of me asked, totally ignoring what I've just said.

 

"Oh, Jessie! How can I be okay when a byuntae has just peeped at me while I was changing and stole my first kiss? My first kiss, Jessie!" The girl that stole my first kiss grumbled.

 

"Why you little..."The girl on top of me glared at me, clenching her fist, was going to punch me in the face when I quickly stopped her fist with all my strength, with her fist only a few centimetres away from my uninjured face.

 

"Phew! That was close!" I thought, feeling a great sense of relief.

 

"Wait! Please! *cough* Let me explain! Please!" I begged while coughing, trying to get some oxygen back into my lungs.

 

The girl hesitated for a while, then nodded, "Fine, I'll let you explain before punishing you."

 

As soon as the blonde girl got off of me, oxygen invaded my body as I panted heavily, finally getting to breathe normally again. The girls' eyes were wide open and their jaws dropped when I explained the whole misunderstanding to them. They realized what they've done and was ashamed of it as I could tell their face changing into a shade of pink.

 

"What? It was all just a misunderstanding? So sorry! Fany ah~ You should've been more specific when you texted us, we thought you really encountered a byuntae and he/she purposely kissed you," The blonde girl said after releasing me from their 'cage'.

 

"But Sica! I just lost my first kiss like that! To a girl!" The girl complained, as she pointed her index finger at me.

 

"Fany ah~ It was an accidental kiss... C'mon! She didn't really mean to steal it from you,the tallest girl explained.

 

"Yah...I didn't...and if it really mattered alot to you..then I'm really sorry... Please forgive me, we'll be dormmates for the rest of the year so I don't want us to be bickering with each other all the time. Let's just forget that this ever happened and just be friends?" I asked sincerely.

 

The girl still glared at me, even more this time, crossing her arms and pouted like a little girl, refusing to forgive me.

 

"Ah~ She's kinda cute when she's angry....wait...Did I just say someone's cute? OMG! I've never said anything like that before..." I thought while scratching the back of my head in confusion.

 

"C'mon, Fany... Stop being so stubborn and childish... she has just apologized to you so just forgive the poor girl already," The shortest girl said.

 

The girl still glared at me but this time, I noticed a small smirk growing on her face.

 

"Fine, I'll forgive you.... under one condition. You must do whatever I tell you to do for a whole month, however, you cannot say no and you must do it without questioning my orders, got it?" The girl asked as I gasped in shock.

 

"What?! That's just ridiculous, Fany! Stop your childish ways and forgive her already," The blonde girl argued.

 

"What? Didn't you say you wanted me to forgive you? Hm? And this is not ridiculous... This is a test to see whether you really mean that you're sorry and is worthy of being forgiven." The girl replied with a sly smirk.

 

"Fine... I'll take up this challenge," I said as I've thought it through and I'm determined to prove to her that I'm worthy of being forgiven.

 

The three girls looked at me in disbelief, as if I was crazy to take up this challenge, but I was determined to prove myself to her. With my stubborn character, it was too late to stop me now. 

 

"Yes, you heard me, I'm gonna prove to you that I'm worthy of being forgiven. Now... please excuse me, I need to change and have breakfast with my friends," I said as I picked up my clothes on the ground, changed and quickly rushed out of the dorm, not making eye contact with her.

 

I just couldn't look at her any longer. I hated that she was angry with me. When I was in the dorm, every time I looked at her hurt and angry face, I couldn't help but feel really guilty. To me, it didn't really matter if someone stole my first kiss accidentally, but to others, it may have been a very important kiss. I felt really bad so I really wanted to make it up to her by taking up this challenge.

At the canteen

 

"Food!!!"Sooyoung lost her cool as if she has just walked into heaven.

 

Sooyoung insisted on helping all of us buy our meals so we sat down and started talking, waiting for her and our food.

 

"Hey guys! How's your dormmates? My dormmate's Jessica, she's really pretty but is equally as cold too. Haha!" Yuri teased as everyone  else started laughing along, all except for me.

 

"Well, mine's Seohyun, she's cute, pretty and tall! But she's just really shy and awkward when we talk to each other," Yoona said,  with a shy smile.

 

"Well, I don't know my dormmate's name yet, I only know that her friends call her 'Fany'. We actually had a little misunderstanding just now and she's angry with me, but .... she's reallly beautiful and cute! Even when she's angry... And her hazel-brown eyes are just.... so beautiful," I said as I started thinking about her unknowingly.

 

I don't usually feel this way but when I caught her just now, when our eyes met, I felt a connection between us and a wierd but comfortable feeling passed through my entire body. I rarely compliment people but I just had to. Her eyes were just so beautiful. Everything from her head to toe was simply perfect, and not to mention, her y body!

 

"That !!! That !!! So y...so hot...OMG!" I thought as my ears were feeling warmer than before.

 

 I have to admit, this is the first time I am being such a ert. However, I couldn't help but drool over her hotness. Suddenly, my heartrate increased and I felt my face heating up.

 

"Oh no! It's happening again!" I thought, trying to fan myself with the flapping of my hands but it was useless.

 

"Kim Taeyeon!" Yuri barked at me as I snapped out of it, flying a few centimetres into the air, shocked by her sudden shout.

 

"Hey! What in the world is up with you and your sudden shouts today? You're scaring the hell out of me," I complained, feeling jumpier than usual.

 

"You wouldn't be so shocked if you weren't so deep in thought. What were you thinking of, anyway? You're daydreaming way too much today. Are you okay? You were grinning like an idiot right before I snapped you out of it," Yuri exclaimed as she let out a sigh.

 

"Nah.. It's nothing really... Just thinking about someone," I simply replied, didn't really feel like sharing my erted thoughts with my friends.

 

"Hey guys! Here's the food!!!" Sooyoung set the tray of our food down, instantly grabbed her burger, sat down and started munching on it, as if she hasn't eaten for days.

 

"Are you really that hungry? I thought you said you had had your breakfast," Yoona asked with an amazed look while witnessing Sooyoung gulping her burger down like a beast.

 

"I did... *munch* but I'm still so *munch* hungry!" Sooyoung complained as she only took small breaks from munching on her poor burger, to talk.

 

"Sheesh! When it comes to this girl...She's ALWAYS hungry! Haha!" Yuri teased as all of us nodded in aagreement.

 

"Hey!" Sooyoung said as she playfully hit Yuri on her shoulders.

 

That is how we've always been, teasing each other all the time and are always sticking together until the very end.

At TaeNy's dorm (at night)

 

When I have just come back from going out with the others for the whole day, I opened the door only to find the girl sitting comfortably on the couch, watching drama. I greeted her while closing the door behind me but she remained in silence, not even looking in my direction, with her eyes glued onto the television screen.

 

"Gosh! Why is she cold?" I thought as I sighed in frustration.

 

I went to take a nice long bath and came out feeling more refreshed than ever. I didn't know what to do or say so I just went over to the couch, sat right beside her and watched the drama with her. Thirty minutes have passed, the whole room was engulfed in total silence as neither of us knew what to say to each other.

 

I really wanted to get closer to her but I couldn't think of anything. Then I had a brilliant plan to get us to know more about each other. I reached for the remote control that was on a small table  and switched off the television.

 

"What do you think you're doing? I was watching that!" she complained as she pouted.

 

"C'mon, let's play a game or something to get to know each other better." I suggested.

 

Soon, I saw another small smirk on her face as she said, "Fine! Let's play....Truth or Dare!"

 

The game I despised the most as Yuri and the others would always find ways for me to do a dare and humiliate myself. I often do the things I would regret the most, later on, during this game. I let out a silent sigh as I took in a deep breath, preparing to be humiliated for life. I gulped as I nodded.

 

"O...Okay.." I stuttered, feeling nervous, scared that she would use this chance to torture the hell out of me.

 

"Ok... We'll take turns, I'll start first okay? I pick truth." She said with a sly smile.

 

"Hm.. since it's your first turn I'll give you an easy one. What's your name?" I asked as her eyes instantly turned into two upside down cresent moons.

 

"I'm Tiffany Hwang Miyoung...but you can call me Fany," She said with her voice slightly softer when she said 'Mi Young'.

 

"Your turn...truth or dare?" she asked as judging from the evil smirk on her  face, I knew it wouldn't end well for me.

 

"T..Truth," I said as I didn't want to do a dare.

 

"Fine. Let me think.. ok I'll give you an easy one since it's your first turn. Tell me more about yourself," she asked, instantly calmed me down a bit from my nervousness.

 

"Oh,'m Kim Taeyeon. I like listening to music, watching horror, comedy, romance, almost all types of movies. I have a younger sister and her name is Hyoyeon, she's really cute but very playful. My parents are always busy working so they often leave us alone at home, because of that, I always have a great sense of responsibilty over my sister, like it is my duty to protect her from getting hurt," I 

paused as tears started swimming in my eyes, going to fall down any moment.

 

"I've never been a girly girl but Hyoyeon's really soft and sweet like an angel, so maybe that's why I feel so protective over her as I'm scared she might get hurt. If I think about it, I'm kinda worried about her now, since I'm supposed to move here and stay here, my sister was left with a nanny, but I feel bad. She must feel terribly afraid when I was not by her side today. It's the longest time we've ever been apart from each other and I miss her so much," I said as I tried to stop my tears from falling but the tears were too heavy and fell on it's own.

 

Instantly, her face changed from icy-cold to a caring look as her gaze softened up.

Tiffany's POV

 

I couldn't believe how much she loved her sister. I saw love, care and guilt in her eyes when she talked about her sister. Their bond between each other is so strong, it reminded me of the bond between my mother and I. My mother died when I was very little and since then, my father worked as hard as he could to support the family. He worked from morning to late at night. I barely got to see him, ever since my mother left us, I've never experienced that kind of bond and love again.

 

I was always left alone at home as Michelle, my elder sister also had to work and Leo, my elder brother was always out with his friends. I longed for my mother's love again but that will never happen anymore. I looked at Taeyeon as her eyes had guilt and pain written all over them. I understood how that felt, having your loved one taken away from you, and you missed her so much, yet you just couldn't be with her anymore. The pain and sorrow that she was also going through, was what I have gone through too.

 

At that point, I totally forgot how angry I was at her and without hesitation, I bent forward and gave her a long hug. It's been so many years since I've last hugged someone, and that was my mother. My tears began to fall uncontollably as I remembered the days I've spent with my mother and how happy our whole family had been in the past.

 

 

For a moment, she was too stunned to move, but then, she relaxed and wrapped her arms around me. I missed that feeling so much, that warm embrace, that sense of security and that calming effect it always had on me. None of my family members has hugged me after mother had died, I barely get to see any of them as they were always outside either working or out with friends. This was my first hug in so many years, and I felt a great sense of satisfaction to be able to do this once again. I never thought I would hug someone other than my family members. 

 

I know she's a total stranger to me but the way she looks at me, from the moment she caught me just now and our eyes met, to the moment I kissed her as our eyes met, to the moment I told her about the challenge, I felt some kind of connection between us, and this wierd yet comfortable feeling. It's like I've known her for a very long time even though we've just met. I know how insane this sounds but she actually gives me this sense of security.

 

"F...Fany," she stuttered as she was still confused by my sudden hug.

 

"Yes?" I pulled away from her embrace as I looked into her eyes again.

 

She looked back at me as our eyes met once more, I cannot even keep track of how many times we have done this already. Her hand reached for my face as she gently brushed away my fallen tears with her thumb. 

 

"Are...Are you okay?" she asked with her eyes radiating off her worry and concern.

 

I didn't feel like replying her question as all I wanted and needed now was a long and warm hug. I pulled her closer, wrapped my hands around her neck as I hugged her even tighter this time.

 

"I'll tell you everthing tomorrow, for now, all I need is a nice, long hug..." I whispered as I closed my eyes and enjoyed this warm feeling of hugs, the feeling that I missed so much.

 

She didn't say anything, but I could tell she was confused. She hesitated for a while but hugged me back as tightly as I did in the end. I didn't know why but when she wrapped her arms around me again, I couldn't help but smile.

Taeyeon's POV

 

I didn't know how I should react, I was too stunned by her sudden hug. All I could do was to hug her back as I didn't know what to say. I enjoyed the feeling while it lasted. I don't usually hug people or receive hugs from others, and even if I did, I'll always end up very stiff and awkward, but this time, there was this fuzzy and warm feeling that invaded my whole body. A feeling I've never felt before, and have only started feeling it earlier today when I caught her, when our eyes met, that same feeling but this time, it was so much stronger than before. My heart was beating rapidly as if it was about to pop out of my ribcage anytime soon. 

 

"What's wrong with me? Why does it happen only when she's around or when I'm thinking about her?" I thought as I felt frustrated and confused.

 

While hugging her, it felt so comfortable that my eyes started closing without me realizing. Her heavenly scent invaded my nostrils as I found myself enjoying every moment of having her in my arms. We were in that same position for a good 10 minutes, I looked at the wall clock and realized it was already 12 P.M. We were suppose to sleep early, we were going to start lessons early next morning. I slowly and reluctantly moved away from her.

 

"F...Fany..It's 12 P.M. already.... Let's sleep now.." I stuttered again, my face not getting any cooler.

 

"Oh ok..." She said, with a hint of disappointment.

 

I jumped on my bed on the left and covered myself with the blanket, going to sleep before she asked,"Taeyeon? Do you mind if I sleep with you tonight?"

 

I shot open my eyes as I froze upon realizing what she has just said. At first, I thought I was hearing things but I turned and only to find her sitting at the edge of her bed, waiting for my reply. I gulped as I nodded shyly.

 

"Ofcourse not," I replied shyly.

 

"Oh my god! She's going to sleep with me tonight?! OMG! I've never slept together with anyone before. Chill, Taeyeon, chill. Just treat her like Hyoyeon, you sleep with Hyoyeon all the time! Don't be nervous, it's not that different," I tried comforting myself.

 

She came over to my bed, got on top of it as the entire bed started shaking and making creeky noises. Then, lying down behind me, she came real close and hung her left arm lazily over my waist. That warm and cozy feeling grew stronger and stronger, I knew I couldn't lie to myself anymore. It was time for me to face the truth, no more running, no more self denial. I, Kim Taeyeon, has fallen in love with her, Tiffany Hwang Mi Young.

 

"Good night, Fany," I said as I closed my eyes, slowly drifting to sleep.

 

"Good night, Taeyeon..." she whispered back.

Tiffany's POV

 

My father has always been working so hard that he always come back home while I'm sleeping. I used to ask my mother to sleep with me as I often felt lonely at night, that warm and cozy feeling that someone is by your side. I felt safe and secure. Nowadays, I'm always alone at home, and it's been so long since I last slept with my mother, and I missed that feeling so I've decided to sleep with Taeyeon. I was kinda shocked when she agreed to sleeping with a stranger whom she has just met today. Even so, I was really grateful she has kindly agreed to sleeping with me and also taking up such a silly challenge.

 

At first, I was just joking with her, wanting to but seeing that she actually took it seriously, I felt quite bad for her. I couldn't even feel even a tiny bit of anger towards her anymore. It was as if the entire bulding which was engulfed in flames moments earlier, has now been completely extinguished. I have finally made up a decison to forgive her. 

 

"Thank you,Taeyeon, you're so nice to me even when I've acted so cold to you. To be honest, I've actually forgiven you a long time ago. I'm so sorry for Jessie and the others' attacks, it must have been so traumatizing. I promise I'll explain everything to you tomorrow. I'm so glad to have you out of all the students here as my dorm mate. I think we'll get along just fine..." I thought as I slowly closed my eyes and gradually fell asleep.
