Taeyeon's POV

"Where are you taking me? I'm scared, Taetae~ I can't see anything!" My girlfriend asked nervously while fideting with her hot pink blindfold around her eyes which I have recently bought for her due to her insomnia problems. 

"We're almost there, chagiya~ Just hold on tight and trust me, alright? I'll make sure you'll be fine," I said with a gentle and calming tone to sooth my nervous girlfriend.

"Okay," She answered with more confidence this time round and a gentle smile on her face.

The twigs and fallen leaves on the grassy ground turned into mini obstacles in our way, however, with a little help from the wind, all the 'obstacles' were being blown to the sides of the path, as if it was trying to build a pathway, just for the both of us. I wrapped my arms around my girlfriend's waist in case she was feeling cold due to the cool breeze. With her hand in mine, I slowly guided her one step at a time to our final destination. 

"We're here!" I exclaimed with enthusiasm while carefully taking off the blindfold to reveal her beautiful hidden hazel brown eyes.

The green grassy ground was blanketed with a lavender purple picnic mat, with a picnic basket at its right hand corner and two fluffy pillows in the center. With the aid of the beauty of nature, this setting seemed like a dream come true, with a warm feeling of comfort and coziness. As soon as she has opened her eyes, she was at a lost of words. She was deeply touched by my wonderful surprise I have been preparing for the past two weeks.

I have taken her to my favourite place on Earth, not just any park but this special park. I used to come here often in the past whenever I had problems, needed to go somewhere to clear my thoughts and take my mind off of all the unhappiness in life. Everytime I come here alone at night, it will just provide this element of calmness and relaxation which magically cures all your stress and problems. It is the only place besides my own home, for me to forget about the screwed up society and world around me, just take a break from all the unhappiness in life and be myself for a while.

Away from all the hurt, the judgements, the stress, the overwhelming demands to be met, it's just me, myself and I right here. With no rules and regulations to follow, no expectations to be consistantly met, nobody to push you around and tell you off, you can finally be free, have a little taste of sweet freedom. Even though this freedom is temporary, at least it is enough for me to continue to stay sane despite all the problems I have gone through in life. This is my favourite place to be, my heaven, my sanctuary.

"SURPRISE!!! Fany ah~ I know you will be flying off to America tomorrow morning, tonight's the last time I'll ever see you anymore. So... ever since last week, I have been preparing for this surprise! I wanted to spend my last night with my girlfriend to its fullest. So... I have brought you here, to my favourite place on Earth!" I exclaimed as a tear escaped her eyes within a second.

She wrapped her arms around me like a koala bear as she dug her face deep into my collar bone region, her favourite spot.

"Thank you, Taetae... I love you so much!" She said as she pulled away slightly and stole my lips for the first time tonight.

The night sky was sprayed with little stars twinkling brightly all over, the view was simply beautiful. The trees rustled and danced a little upon the gentle cool breeze. There was nothing else to bother us, no birds chirping, no noisy chatters, it wasn't an awkward silence but a beautiful silence. The full moon looked like a little white ping pong ball being suspended in the middle of the night sky. The view was simply amazing while she laid her head on my right shoulder and we sat there in awe, witnessing the true beauty of nature.

While the breeze blew past me, it carried a hint of perfume from my girlfriend as I closed my eyes and inhaled that familiar scent. I smirked and opened my eyes once more, revealing my angel beside me while she was taking a short nap with her head on my shoulder. With her hair cascading down her face to an abrupt stop at her chest level, and swaying ily with the breeze once in a while, my ears couldn't help but heat up. With her cute little nose and her kissable and tender lips, I couldn't help but grin at the sight. She didn't put on much make up but under the pale moonlight, she looked as stunning as ever. Suddenly, my smile soon turned upside down as my heart started to ache. Feeling my heart getting heavier by the minute made me even more nervous, knowing that with every passing second, it meant a second closer for her to leave me... forever.

Suddenly, my vision became blur while I took a quick walk down memory lane and visiting our past in my head. From the first time we met, to when we have become bestfriends, and then he came into the picture, and finally to us right now. Even though it hasn't even been a full year, all these events seemed like it's been forever. Finally when she has become mine, I have to give her up once more. Silently, a tear fell without warning as I planted a soft peck on my girlfriend's forehead.

"I love you, Fany... I really do. I told myself I could do this but it's too painful. I have lost you once, I told myself I won't ever let you go again, yet... I have to let you go once more, and this time round, you are never coming back anymore," I whispered as I couldn't hold the overwhelming sadness back anymore and starting sobbing silently, afraid to wake her up.

"I love you so much, I am going insane! Everyday of my life, I'm just afraid, afraid to lose my reason to be happy in this cruel world, my reason to continue to strive, my passion, my inspiration, my joy pill. My life was pitch dark before you came into the picture and shone brightly, turning it upside down and brighting up my life. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me... someone snatched you away from me once.... Why is someone else snatching you away from me again?!" I whispered as more tells fell on their own.

Soon, the weight on my shoulder was gone as two hands welcomed me into her embrace. Without hesitation, I wrapped mine around her back and squeezed her tightly in my arms, considering the fact that maybe this would be my last chance to do so. 

"I'm so sorry, Taengoo. It's all my fault, I fell in love with the wrong person at first and hurt you so much. Now, we're together but due to my unreasonable father, you have to get hurt again. I'm so sorry," She apologized as she broke down and started sobbing in my arms.

"It's not your fault, silly. It's society and their selfish mindset, just because it is not the norm, it is seen to be wrong to love the same . They can love who they want to love, so why can't we?! What's so important about the person's physical properties when the most important thing is love, itself? Fany, please don't blame yourself for this, it isn't your fault," I said she she raised her head to look into my eyes.

"But I have hurt you so many times... I'm so sorry, Taetae," She apologized once more as my heart ached upon hearing her voice cracking when she talked.

"Stop apologizing, silly kitty! It isn't your fault. Getting hurt is a way of life, we can never escape from it or avoid it, tears are inevitable, so please don't blame yourself. I love you, dear. Please remember that even after you leave, please don't forget about me, about us," I said as she nodded in agreement.

"Ofcourse, I won't! I love you so much, Taetae!" She said as she went in for another kiss.

This kiss was different than the one before, it was more genuine and contained deeper feelings inside. Electric waves flown through my body as if I was under a magic spell, love's spell. I bit a little on her lower lip while our lips moved in sync. She twirled her arms around my neck and pulled me in to further deepen the kiss. It was crazy how something so wrong to the eyes of others, felt so right to me. That moment, that fluffy electric feeling, those tender lips of hers, our love, everything felt perfect, too good to be true. Her pace slowed down as she gently pulled away and our lips parted for the last time.

"Taetae," She called as I heart stung upon hearing her weak tone.

"Yes, dear?" I answered as she intertwined our fingers and looked me in the eyes before she continued.

"After I leave... Will things change?" She asked as I gulped upon hearing her question.

"Some things will..." I said as I sighed deeply.

"What about... us?" She asked, with her tears threatening to fall from the corner of her eyes in any moment.

"Ofcourse not, silly girl~" I said as I patted her head like how I normally do to ease my sweet babygirl and continued, "not us."

"I'm scared, Taetae," She said with a weak crack in her voice.

"What are you scared of, sweetie?" I asked as she intertwined her fingers with mine.

"I'm scared everyday I won't get to wake up to see my lover by my side, no more good mornings, no more recess together, no more lunch, no more movie nights, no more sweet long cuddles, kisses, no more "I love you"s.... No more... somebody to cheer me up everyday, protect me, love me for who I am. No more.... Kim Taeyeon," She said as she started sobbing hysterically as I brought her in for another hug.

"Silly girl... We can still video call each other, right? We can make full use of the internet as our main communication platform!" I replied but only to earn a pout from her.

"Taetae... I don't want to leave you here...alone. I don't want to go and study overseas, I want to be with you every moment of my life!" She exclaimed as my shirt started to turn a little moist from her tears.

"But... you need the education, dear! I don't want to hold you back just because of me... you deserve it. It's such a great opportunity!" I comforted her, in an attempt to comfort myself as well.

"Education, huh?" She asked as she bit onto her lower lip in deep thought before she continued, "let's make a deal, alright?" 

"After finishing my education there, I'll run away from home, fly back and find you. In 3 years' time, I'll meet you back here at the same place, on the same day, at the same time as right now. If I can successfully come back in time, then... I'll spend the rest of my life with you then, you silly dork~" She said as her frown turned back into her angellic smile which I can never get tired of.

"You're going to run away from home... and find me?! Are you crazy?!" I barked as I couldn't believe what was going through her mind.

"Taetae... If I cannot be with you, I don't even think I can fall for any other guy anymore... You've stolen my heart, so much that I don't care anymore, I don't care about my name, my face, my reputation, the rumors, the judgements everyone will give me, they can talk all they want, hate all they want. I can lose everything... except you. You're the best thing that has ever happened to me, Tae... I don't want to lose you, everything else but you. I don't care anymore... I just want to be with you!!! So... Deal or no deal?" She confessed as I couldn't help but tear up upon her sweet words.

I wrapped my arms around her waist like a dead rope and pulled her in for another kiss, our last kiss. It was short, only lasted for a few seconds, but felt like the whole world to me. It was the shortest, yet most genuine and precious kiss of all time. I slowly pulled away from her, our eyes locked dead onto each other, not giving any chance to blink. I went close to her ear and whispered something only she can hear, our little secret.

"Deal! I won't go anywhere, I'll stay put right here. I'll wait for you, for as long as a thousand years, and more... I don't care, I will wait for you... as only someone can make me truely and genuinely happy, only someone... can steal my heart like that and can forever make my heart beat for one special person... that's you, silly~" I said as I gave her a peck on her forehead before continuing, "I love you."

Our love, our deal was set... I just hope we'll finally get our own happy ending.
