Your heart drummed as the men led you further and further into the castle, finally stopping in front of a room.

Knocking, "Come in."

The door opened automatically, the men moved aside, you blinked, "You're not...coming in with me...?"

They shook their heads and bowed, walking away.

Walking in, you saw a middle-aged man who looked at the same time, respectable and powerful.

But living with the humans, you had no idea who he was.

"Um.."

He looked up and warmly smiled at you, "Sit."

You did as told, "Um sir, I think there's a mistake, I'm no one special, I'm just a normal-"

When he looked up, your mouth shut.

"On the contrary. You're very special, an immense amount of special. I can see why they've fallen for you."

He chuckled, "Where are my manners, I am the Royal Head of this castle. You must be curious as to why you were brought here."

You nodded slowly, *Royal Head...castle...king?!*

"Well..you see my dear..you were born of rather...unusual and unlikely circumstances. Humans don't approach you because of your unnatural beauty...in their eyes of course. Vampires don't glance your way since your scent isn't like theirs. Not one or the other."

Blinking in confusion, you patiently waited for him to continue.

"Well...that's all I'm going to say. The rest you can figure out on your own. Now, your room-"

"What?"

He blinked, "The place..you'll be staying-"

Exclaiming, "You're not sending me back?!"

After the outburst, you went into a coughing fit, he intently watched you, *Beauty. Weakness...she seems to be....hmmm...*

"Well, I'm afraid I can't do that. You are now a part of this castle.This is your new home."

Your eyes watered, "What...?"

"Follow me."

Numbly trailing after him, he opened the door to reveal a pristine, clean but lavish room.

You bit your lip, "I...really..can't...leave?"

Shaking his head, "No...there's a reason you're here child. Don't think of it too negatively. Try to look on the bright side...which I'm sure you will, soon."

You trembled in shock and whispered, "May I be alone...?"

He nodded, "I'll introduce you to the rest of the household at dinner time. You don't drink blood...do you?"

"NO! I'M HUMAN! WHY WOULD I-"

A warm smile spread across his face, his laughter rumbling throughout the castle.

You blinked at him in awe.

He stopped and stared at you, "That's where you're wrong."

With that, he gently shut the door, leaving you alone.

Tears slipping down your cheeks, you jumped onto the bed and sobbed into the pillow, *I want to go home.*
