Chapter 43 
The Last Time

After a long discussion with eomma, it came a conclusion to end up with Jongin. Eomma claimed that eventually things would have turned out like this, it wasn't too late since you and Taemin didn't have a child together, which was not your control about the pregnancy ... you've only done it once? twice? 

But why did Taemin give everything up? that's one thing you wanted to ask him. The next morning you woke up in your bedroom, finding the space next to you empty, I guess it's still awkward with everything for Jongin. You did you daily routines of getting Taerin ready for school. You and Jongin dropped her off to school and asked Jongin to drive back home and relax while you had to do something.

From the school you walked to a cafe close by and waited inside. Today you wanted to meet Taemin on your own and discuss a few things with him. It took him half an hour to arrive. 

"hey" he greeted, he was smiling brightly as if he has officially moved on.

"uhm hey ~ I'm glad you came. Take a seat" you offered the seat opposite from you.

You couldn't wait any longer "why are you doing this? how could you just end everything like this? our relationship, our life, everything?" 

"It's for the best, it might be hard but I know eventually you will like Jongin again, the three of you will be together and all the complications will be gone" he explained

"what about us? I love you" 

"I love you too Hyorin, I'm doing this for you. You deserve the best. I love you so much that I am willing to give you up to give you a good life" he held back his tears while her caressed your face. 

You didn't want any of this to happen but it seemed that everything has been planned before hand. "what am I going to do now? do you really want me to sign the papers?" you asked as you took out the brown envelope that contained the papers

"the quicker, the better" he stated

You looked up to Taemin once more and found him nodding. Your hands were trembling as the pen was now against the paper as you squiggled your signature on the paper ... *sigh* that was it. "it just needs to be finalised now" he whispered

"Hyorin-ah, do you mind if I come with you to pick up Taerin-ah for the last time? I want to properly explain things her" 

Taemin was always emphasising 'the last time' while we're driving back home. "you actually talked to eomma about this matter?" you suddenly remembered

"I was preparing myself, You probably won't forgive but you have to do this for Taerin-ah" he got out of the car as we finally arrived. Jongin was in the lounge with his luggage pack beside him.

(Taemin's POV)

As we entered the house Jongin was in the lounge watching tv, I noticed his luggage was already beside him *this is it*

"You're going back to Seoul now?" I asked

"uhm yeah the one week leave is done, I'll be leaving at tonight" he answered

"Hyorin, you better start packing your things and Taerin-ah's" I ordered, instead of arguing back she went upstairs. It gave me some time to talk to Jongin alone. 

Jongin decided to break the silence first "why are you doing this to her?" he asked

"I did it for her and Taerin-ah. They both need you" I answered

"I could understand Taerin, but Hyorin? she loves you, not me" he replied

"the process will take awhile but her feelings for you remain, I can feel it. I want the two of them to be happy and your the only person who can do that Jongin" I explained

"should I be thanking you for all this?" he asked slightly confused

"I guess so" I smiled while patting his right shoulder "what about Hyorin, how can I get closer to her?" he asked

"just do whatever you use to do when your both first started dating, start all over again. and just promise me you won't give neither of them up" I reassured

"I gave up once, for Hyorin's sake but now I won't. I owe you one .... you took care of my family without myself knowing. I owe you alot" Jongin thanked

"and to repay me back for all my efforts ~ being with them will pay for your debt towards me" I cheered him up. "but tonight, just let me be with them one last time, I want to say my farewell to Taerin" I pleaded for the last time

he nodded in agreement "oh and later, when I saw my goodbye to Taerin, hold onto her if she tries chasing after me. It'll hurt but just do it please ~ that's my last request" I asked once more

Just like that it was time to pick Taerin-ah up from school, she'll be happy to see me again but it'll be the last "guys I'll be back ~ I'll pick her up and eat out with her before she looses her appetite" 

"Jongin-ah, maybe you should help Hyorin pack up" I said before leaving the house

"APPPPPPPPPPPPA ~ YOU'RE BACK!!!!" Taerin ran up into my arms as I spun her around

"I miss you baby ~" I kissed her cheek "where do you want to go today? let's eat out ~ appa's hungry" I pouted

"mmmmmmmm, cafe??? jebal appa~~" she begged

As we ordered Green Tea desserts the two of us were catching up. "appa you know Kai ahjussi was my one day appa during the family day at school" she smiled "also, we were dancing together ~ I didn't know that eomma and ahjussi knew each other before"
